"GREAT PRODUCT"
WE BOUGHT THIS KETTLE FOR MY ELDERLY FATHER WHO LIVES ALONE DURING THE SUMMERS. WE ESPECIALLY LIKED THE FEATURE OF THE AUTOMATIC SHUT OFF IN CASE HE FORGETS TO TURN IT OFF. HE ABSOLUTELY LOVES THE KETTLE. IT IS EXTREMELY FAST IN HEATING THE WATER AND HE CAN USE IT FOR COFFEE, TEA, INSTANT SOUP AND HIS FAVORITE, HOT CHOCOLATE. VERY PLEASED WITH THIS PURCHASE.

"Love it!"
I recently bought this item and love it. I previously had a different brand and hesitated to try this one, but this is the bomb and I recommend it highly. It's ergonomic handle is a plus and I love the way you can pick up and put down the kettle in any direction. This is wonderful in my household with our lefty and righty users.
Great product!

"Hot pot"
It works very well and heats up quickly...It is easy to see the measurements....Have no complaints so far.

"Fast"
Used these kettles in England on my vacation. I loved them and had to get one when I came home, everyone had one there....Boiled a full pot of cold water in 5 min. It took 11 for my non-electric kettle to boil with hot tap water. Nice and fast. Boiled a whole pot first and poured it out to clean it then made a cup of tea. The mesh filter comes out to rinse. The lid opens all the way if you hold the button down and push it up, so you can get your hand in to clean it etc. The handle is comfortable to hold and it pours well with no drips.

I recommend this kettle. It has a 1 year warranty and Braun is a good name.

"Looks very good, work great."
Love this thing. Do not see any downsides.
The only recommendation - put water in without opening the lid. It seems not very solid and might break. Otherwise it is very good product. boils watter extremely fast. Easy to clean if needed.

What our customer's say!

"Great Product", This is our second water kettle... our first one was alright, but was as durable. I really like this water kettle, its sturdy and holds about 3 travel mugs of water. It takes only 60 sec to boil one to 2 cups of water. Its great! We use it mutiple times a day!

Love it. I like the fact the heater element is in the middle of the kettle. I like the view of water on both sides and that is automatically shuts off. The water gets extremely hot when you let it boil completely, not drinkable. Love that fact too!

"fast and easy", I love this thing! It heats up fast with no annoying whistle. It is easy to fill and use. I like being able to see how much water is in it and when it starts boiling. The only thing I would change is the cord which is very stiff, but once you figure out where to keep it, that isn't a problem. I drink a lot of tea and use this kettle several times a day. I have been very very happy with it so far.

"Good, but Slow", I purchased this kettle to replace a Chef's Choice Electric French Press which we had been using for several years as a kettle. The Braun AquaExpress is easier to use and quieter. However, the AquaExpress takes about twice as long to boil water even though its input is 250W more (based on equal amouts of water). The Braun ultimately has the ability to heat more water as well.
I like it, but I wish it was as fast as the Chef's Choice press.

" Excellent Kettle", Very nice product. Boils water promptly, looks good, easy to clean. I had it for about a month now and so far it's been great.

"Hot Water, Fast & Easy", I am really happy with this Electric Water Kettle. I am a big tea drinker, and I have tried other types of hot water makers, only to have them leak all over. This pot is fast and easy to use. It's very convenient, easy to fill, and the water actually boils, which is essential for good tea. The price of this was a bit more than some of the other brands, but it was well worth it!
I know we will use this even more in the winter time, for other hot drinks and soups. It's just so easy! If you're a tea person, this pot is definitely for you.

"Electric Kettle by Braun ", I've been using this kettle daily for several months. It's very fast and safe to handle. I'am very pleased with its design and performance, and would recommend.

"Sleek and efficient", I've had this kettle for over a month and am very happy with it. I followed the advice about boiling off and throwing away the first jug of water and it tastes fine. The features are easy to read, there's no ugly exposed electric coil in it which my previous English electric kettles have had and it fits in well with my other black kitchen appliances. The auto-cut off works although it does seem to boil a little longer than necessary before turning itself off.

"Wonderful product", Great condition. My parents have a waterkettle just like this one and I fell in love with it. I definitely had to have one for myself. Very easy and fast to use. Thank you Braun!!

"WK200 AquaExpress is Braun Quality At Its Finest!", Boiling water seems like such a menial task, and yet is can be annoying when you want hot water and have to stand there waiting for it. Whether you have a kettle on the stove or a cup of water in the microwave, it seems like it just drains precious minutes out of your day. Sure, you could put a kettle on the stove and walk away to do something else, but you still have to be on standbye to run and shut it off when it starts to boil/whistle. The answer; use an electric water kettle, which will boil water in just minutes and will shut off automatically. However, after trying several different makes and models of electric kettles, it just seems like they are built of cheap quality materials. Sometimes they would not shut off when the water boiled. The paddle-style power switch broke right off of a few models. Most required that you add at least 2 or 3 cups of water or else the heating element would not be covered. And most of them gave a slightly tainted flavor to the water, adding a hint of plastic taste to my coffee and tea. We decided that we had to stop buying the inexpensive kettles and began searching for something that was quality built and would last.

Enter the Braun WK200 series AquaExpress Electric Water Kettle. I didn't even know that Braun made electric water kettles until finding this model here on Amazon. I read a plethora of rave reviews for this kettle and decided to give it a try. Sure, it had a rather high price tag but most folks seemed to feel that it was worth the money.

I had our new Braun WK200B kettle setup in less than 5 minutes. The power base has built-in cord storage clips, so you only need to pull out as much cord as you need to reach the nearest outlet. Even fully extended the cord is rather short and extremely stiff. After cleaning out the kettle with warm, soapy water, I filled it to its maximum 7-cup mark, placed it on the base and hit the power switch. Within seconds the kettle started to make a hissing sound that indicated the water was heating up. Within just a few minutes the water was boiling and the kettle prompty shut itself off. The wide spout provides easy, splash-free pouring. The spout even has a small filter in it, to remove impurities from your water. After pouring out all of the water I was pleased to see that the heating element is fully concealed, which makes cleaning this kettle a snap. The element plate is also very low, which means you only have to put in a little over a cup of water in order to cover it. There is a handy water level window on both sides of the kettle, which makes it easy to see just how much water is in the device. There is also a red pilot light on both sides of the kettle, close to the base, which lets you know when the unit is heating water. There are two buttons atop the handle; one which is the power switch and the other is to pop open the top for filling the kettle. One of the handiest features is that the kettle can be placed on the base with the handle in any direction. That's right, you don't have to line anything up. There is a little nub in the center of the base unit that just pops into the center of the kettle underside, allowing the kettle to rotate a full 360 degrees. And of course the kettle has a 4-way shutoff feature, which powers the unit off when the water boils, if the unit is out of water, when the lid is opened, and when the kettle is lifted off from the base unit. This makes the Braun WK200 series AquaExpress one of the safest kettles on the market today. The unit is well balanced, even when full of water, and I have noticed that the water remains very hot inside the kettle for quite some time, well after the unit has shut itself off.

Although I have already mentioned some of these, here is a summary of features for the Braun WK200B AquaExpress Electric Water Kettle:

- 1500 watts
- 7 cup/1.6L Capacity
- Easy-Read Water Level Indicator Windows (both sides)
- On/Off Pilot Light (both sides)
- Easy Water Filling Through Spout
- Fully Concealed Internal Heating Element
- Four-Way Safety Switch Off (when dry, when boiling, when lid is opened, when lifted off base)
- Handy Cord Storage Under Base
- Washable Filter In Spout
- Extremely Easy To Clean
- Rated Dimensions: 9.2 x 7.6 x 11.4

My only real complaints about this model are with the power cord. It is very short (only 24 inches) and extremely thick and stiff. A slightly longer, much more flexible power cord would have made this electric kettle perfect in every way. One other thing to note is that the exterior of this kettle becomes very warm to the touch when water is fully heated. It will certainly not burn anyone but it is warmer than I expected from a non-metal type product like this. Still, all of these imperfections are minor compaired to the high build quality, fast performance, wonderful safety features, and stylish looks of this great product. Braun is known throughout the world as a manufacturer of high quality products, and the WK200B electric water kettle is no exception. I highly recommend this product to anyone that is looking for a safe, easy to use electric kettle that will save you the time and frustration of waiting for water to boil. Now you can just push a button and go about any other task, knowing that the kettle will safely shut itself off when the water begins to boil. I am definately glad that I stopped buying those cheap quality $20 kettles and bought my family the Braun WK200B. It was a wise investment and worth every penny.

"Fast and safe", I spent a lot of time looking at all the electric kettles and reading reviews. I picked this one and I'm glad I did. I love having water indicator levels on both sides. It's also easy to fill. The spout is large enough to hold it under the faucet, although the water can't be turned on full force because the filter is there (most or all have a filter) or the lid can be tipped up to hold under the faucet. The base remains cool as does the bottom of the kettle so it can be placed on a table. The outside gets very warm but not hot enough to burn if you touch it. There is a small circular metal part on the bottom which is recessed and fits into a circular part in the base, which is the path to heat the water. I love having an electric kettle because it turns off when the water is hot. I didn't like my tea kettle because the whistle was loud and shrill and I had to stay nearby to get it immediately. It pours well. I got the black one and think it looks attactive on the counter.
