"A GREAT Kitchen Tool"
I honestly can't remember what I did before I bought this blender other than spend wayyyyyyyyy too much time using my food processor for soups, tomato sauce, etc. Now, it's so easy, so quick to use the hand blender and have the job done in literally two minutes. No more tranferring and having more bowl cleanups! It has so many functions that it's an "at hand" tool to be used almost daily.

"An OH-MY-GOSH-AWESOME Product for a Busy B&B!!"
This is the second one of these that I've owned; I gave my first one to my youngest daughter who was making her own baby food for my gorgeous granddaughter! There is NOTHING about this product that I don't like -- NOTHING! I use the immersion blender attachment for soups and sauces; I use the whisk attachment almost daily for whipped cream for waffles and for omelettes; I use both of the mini-food-processor attachments for chopping nuts for waffles and pancakes and for fresh veggies for souffles and frittatas -- and I love all of them! I have given these as gifts to my oldest daughter (who's the Sous Chef for Curtis Stone, the "Take-Home Chef) and a couple of other dear friends who love to cook and spend tons of time in their kitchens! You'll love owning this, I promise!

"Works very well"
Best blender of this type I have had. Works much better than the smaller Braun blenders I have had.

"Judgment: A splendid product, durable and a multi-tasker!"
Since people have already said most good things about it, I will just add a Yeah! a Best Product in my view. Money well spent at a unquestionably justifiable price. Three cheers to Braun.

"Use it for everything ... better than other hand mixers"
This appliance is very versatile. I use my Braun to make salsa, fruit smoothies, chopped veges (great for onions, garlic, and anything that you want chopped into smaller pieces), pesto sauce, finely ground lemon peel, and all kinds of other things. You can control the chopping level to make the pieces smaller or bigger by using either the regular or turbo settings combined with the 12 speed adjustments.

I have had a Bamix (the higher RPM version) along with all the attachments for over a year. I could only get it to work successfully for fruit smoothies ... but when I couldn't order a new one for my son because they were out of stock, I tried the Braun. The Braun does so much more and is only $70 ... whereas the Bamix is over $200 if you buy all the attachments. Because of its versatility, I am using the Braun for much more than I used the Bamix. I also tried a $59 KitchenAid hand mixer, but it didn't have all the attachments or blend a smoothie as nicely as either the Bamix or the Braun.

If you need something that chops, blends, grinds, etc., this is definitely worth the $70 to try it out.

What our customer's say!

"wonderful product", This blender is so easy to use and so virsital. I have used it right in the pan to make homemade soup. The only thing that I don't like is holding it after a few minutes it starts to hurt your hand. I have to switch hands alot but over all it is perfect...

"My favorite small kitchen appliance", I have had my Braun Multiquick for 5-6 years now, and it's still my go-to gadget. I haven't bothered buying a standalone blender or food processor because this does the job of both without taking up nearly the space. The two chopper bowls are excellent for chopping nuts, onions, etc, or for whirring up a quick pesto or salsa. The ice chopper is great for frozen drinks. Of course, the standard blender stick can't be beat for milkshakes. And your shake doesn't melt while your busy washing a big bulky blender pitcher; you can just quickly rinse the stick and enjoy your shake. I'm not sure that I've used the whisk attachment since an old-fashioned whisk is just as easy. If I were beating egg whites I might try it, but I'd probably use my KitchenAid stand mixer anyway since I'd likely be using it for the rest of a recipe anyway. I also wouldn't recommend this for heavy doughs.

"Broken and disposable", I had less than one year's use with this product and it broke - and I mean light use. It broke when I was was grinding parmesan cheese. It's obviously a disposable item, as i can't find a source to fix it. And I paid $20 more than it is being offerd for now. I'm going back to more manual ways of doing things.

"Quality", 400 watt--good power--shouldn't burn out. Quality modern white design. Beautiful. Would make a nice gift. Cord is long length. Comes with mount for wall--keeps your blender within easy reach. Manual advises not good for batters thicker than pancake batter. Comes with whip attachment--can beat 4 egg whites at a time. This package (there are others available with less attachments) comes with 2 chopping containers (large and small). Large one has a removable ice crusher attachment. Both containers have no-skid bases which are removeable to use for lids! Also comes with a measuring container with a lid--recipes/drinks/smoothies can be mixed directly in this. Altogether, you get4 blades--one on the immersion wand, one for the small chopper, one for the large chopper, and then the ice crusher blade. There are 12 speeds with an additional turbo speed for the ice crushing and power pulses. Most pieces go in dishwasher (not the motor or the white piece above the whip)--all else dishwasher safe. Love it. If you don't get this one, just be sure to get one with at least 400 watts power. But get this one--you'll love it.

"Reviews entered are accurate and worth reading", My purchase for this product was determined by the reviews on this site. The product is entirely a great buy and versatile blender. It can do many different speeds and strengths, entirely adjustable. The only thing I didn't like was the unsightly, weird, silly plastic wall holder for this appliance. It just a sleeve and some kind of loop to maybe hold the cord in?
It would be nice to have a holder that is a little more attractive for hanging on the kitchen wall as well as holding all the basic attachments that come with it. This is a good buy and I would definitely purchase another whenever a replacement might be needed.

"Great and POWERFUL Hand-held Blender", Based on comparison between different models of hand-held blenders, I selected this one based on the amount of power for the price. We have used it to puree whole heads of cooked cauliflower (the BEST low-carb substituted for mashed potatoes - even non low-carb dieters prefer it to potatoes). This used to take about 10+ minutes using the food processor (and there were still a few lumps). Now, a few quick zaps with the hand-held blender, and it is done. It is also great since there are no extra dirty dishes - everything can be done right in the pan it was cooked in. We have also tried it for pureeing fresh fruit, whipping cream, and pureeing vegetables in gravies and stocks. It is easy to use, easy to clean and stores conveniently in its own wall mount. Our blender is now waiting for the next garage sale (the food processor may not be far behind). Our only disappointment is that we waited so long to get this wonderful, powerful and easy-to-use hand-held model.

"parts break", for awhile the braun was a wonder, but just after the warranty expired the parts began to break, the chopper blade, twice now. i figure witht he amount of money paid this thing should work for years and years, not until the warranty expired.

and getting a replacement part, well, you ever hear the word hassle?

"Love it", I had purchesed this blender about a month ago and I love it and so does my family.
I mostly use the blender to make home made ice cream it is wonderful so easy to use and ice cream is made in about 30 sec there is nothing better then home made ice cream. I recently bought one of those big ice cream makers and now since i got the blender I haven't been using the other one this is so much easier and i don't have to keep it in my freezer for 24 hours. I also use it to pure soups and chop garlic it is wonderful. It took me a while to decide which hand mixer to get since there is so many and prices are so differant but I am glad I decided to purchese this one even though it is a little more $$$ then others it is worth it. I always say I can't afford to buy the cheap stuff, as the cheap always breaks and then you end up paying more in the long run replacing it.

"A good kitchen gadget", I was reluctant to add another gadget to our kitchen, especially one with a motor. But I knew my husband would really like it, so I bought this one. It's a winner. I haven't used the ice crusher yet, and I probably will never use the wisk, but the other attachments are very useful.

As a stick blender, it purees sauces and make quick smoothies. With the two chopper attachments, we can chop up onions, make pesto, etc., without getting out the food processor. The Braun does a good job of chopping. Not quite as good as my full-sized food processor, but with a lot less mess. And much faster than using a knife to chop. I haven't used it on anything that slowed the motor down. Lots of power.

The price from J&R Music couldn't be beat, and service was fine. The box arrived crushed, but the contents were fine.

"Braun MR5550MBC -excelent", It has plenty of power and looks well built. They even put the buttons and speed control in a convient location.
