"Best cookwear I've ever owned!"
I've purchased a number of types of cookwear over the years, but none have compared to Cuisinart's Chef's Classic line. I own almost the entire line, and am very satisfied with the way food cooks in this cookwear. I'm even more impressed with the easy clean-up of this finish. I don't put it in the dishwasher, even though the manufacturer states it can be cleaned that way. For the price, these products are top of the line. I've also purchased 6 pieces of this cookware for my daughter. I highly recommend this product.

"Wonderful saucepan"
I purchased this saucepan 4 months ago, and it's been a rare day since then that it hasn't been used. It's a great, easy size when cooking a sauce, or veggies for two, among many, many other things! It holds heat so well and cooks perfectly even. Plus it's a beautiful, shiny pan - even after so much use. The inside bottom does have some surface scratches from my whisk :) but it doesn't affect its functionality in any way. After having owned this pan, I would gladly purchase it again, even at its full retail price -- it's worth it. But fortunately I doubt I'll have to as I'm sure this one will last me a lifetime!

"Pretty Pan"
This 1-1/2 quart saucepan is a delight to use and even looks good on my stove. I have used it for rice and for cheese sauce. It perfect for these things and works fine with a lower flame than other pans I have.

"Perfect Little Saucepan"
If you need a high-quality stainless steel sauce pan, this Cuisinart pan is perfect. I bought this 1 1/2 quart pan to replace an aging enameled pan. On sale when I purchased it, the pan is rarely far from the stove! Most of my cookware is restaurant grade; this pan fits right in.
Highly recommended.

"A well made classic in terms of finish, weight and balance"
Looks great - feels great - cleans off great

Use at medium to low heat though!

What our customer's say!

"Excellent value and quality", This saucepan is the perfect complement to my Cuisinart Chef's Classic Stainless 12-Inch Everyday Pan with Medium Dome Cover, when I am cooking a chicken or steak in the large pan (or my trusty 12" cast iron pan), I am usually making a sauce or boiling vegetables in this not-so-small saucepan. It is a truly versatile pan, I have used it to boil a few eggs, steam vegetables, melt chocolate, warm up left-over soup, make masala chai (it's easier than most people think and VERY tasty), or even bake a small cake in it! I can't possibly list them all, this is my second most used pan, a close second to my Lodge Logic 12" cast iron pan.

Don't be fooled by the price tag, this may be a cheap pan, but it is certainly not cheaply made. Handle is sturdy, and the lid fits tight, and it will stand up to 450 degrees of heat in the oven (from the manual, although I never pushed it to that extreme heat). It has a rather heavy bottom for heat retention, which is exactly what I want.

This is also a perfect pan for making a little one-person meal. I am a little embarrassed to admit, but I've made ramen noodles in this pan on some late nights.

Beginner or seasoned home cooks alike, I am sure you'll find this pan to be an excellent investment for your money.

Pros:
=====
- Well made
- Versatile (from sauce to dessert to tea making to a small lasagna)
- Well priced
- Can be nuked in the oven up to 450 degrees

Cons:
=====
- Stainless steel needs a little more care than non-stick cookware, and may colorize over time... but that's really just a general stainless steel cookware issue

"Beautiful and durable", Works like a charm if taken care of properly. Great product I hope to have to cook dinner for my grandchildren 30 years from now!

"No product!", I never did receive the pan. Macy's sent a number of automated responses to my inquiries. Finally, they agreed to resend it, but I still don't have either a pan or my credit.

"Perfect little pan", I have a larger pan from this "family" and I love them both. I wait for them to go on super-sale, then snatch them up one at a time. Great heat distribution, looks fabulous. I don't put these in the dishwasher, so maybe that's why they shine so brilliantly. Anyway, I love them both.

"Agree with Everyone Else, These are Great", I purchased 4 of these pots in various sizes and agree they are fabulous. I have used them now for about 6 months and still love them. Fabulous value but high, high quality! Easy to clean and love that they can go from stove into the oven! You will not be disappointed!

Read this reviews before You buy...

"Great pan at a good price", I bought this pan because of the great reviews on Amazon, and I am very happy with it. It cleans pretty easily by hand, and perfectly in the dishwasher. It heats quickly and evenly.

It is also a very attractive piece of cookware. I believe I may try one of the other pieces when they are on sale.

"Cuisinart 1.5 qt saucepan", I received this item today, used it tonight. I'm thoroughly delighted w/this sauce pan. It's better than I expected it to be. I've shopped in the stores & found nothing comparable for the price. I'd recommend it. You'll like it too.

"Cuisinart Chef's Stainless 1-1-2 Quart Saucepan", Love this little saucepan! Just have to use very low heat, no stick, and produces great food. I am thinking of adding a 2-quart now to my collection. I definitely will purchase more in the future to add to my stock.

"Just what I wanted", I was looking for this sized pan for a long time. I am very pleased with this purchase. The quality of the pan is great!

"The little pot that stays hot.", This is a good-sized pan. It comes with a nice lid that seals if desired (using steam to form the seal).

It heats evenly, and stays very warm even after sitting away from the burner for a while.

The quality of the stainless steel is great and the pot is easy to clean in that it is stainless steel.

But, it does have its flaws. The negatives have to do with the rivets, especially on the lid, which are large to the point of absurdity, especially for a pan of this size. I was raised with riveted pots and pans, and the rivets were never an intrusion back then.

The lid's rivets make it more difficult to clean. The way they're attached on the outside is sloppy, and unnecessarily bulky. They stick up, and catch on sponges and cloths. This irritates me no end.

This is not a cruel and unusual complaint, but a statement of fact. I am surprised that a company like Cuisinart would be so careless in design. I own another item from a different line of theirs, the Everyday line, and it's the best pot I've ever owned, and that includes my Le Creuset ware.

If it were the only pot available in this size and quality of material, I would buy it again...just because it's hard to find a one and a half-quart saucepan with a lid, for some unknown reason. There are myriad one-quart pans available all over the place.

The price is fabulous! Really fabulous!

Postscript to this comment: I use this saucepan nearly daily. I actually have come to like it very much. If I could rate it again, it would get a four. If it weren't for the annoying rivets, it would be a five star item. The overall quality is unquestionably excellent.
