"Great , if you know what you're doing..." Good size for 4 people. Cleans up nice. Stainless is great to cook with as long as you know how to work with it. For those who don't, or don't want to learn, they would be better off with non-stick. "You should get two of these!" I'm not sure if Amazon is ever going to run another sale on Cuisinart Chef's Classic, but compared to retail prices, their everyday price is a great bargain. I got my second sauce pot when they ran the sale for $14. I can make spaghetti and sauce without juggling pan sizes, lids or being annoyed! I love it!! "The Pot to Boil the Chicken.." No I don't need the huge several gallon type pot that I use to use when my family was at home, but this is just the right size to fit and boil corn, asparagus, and the chicken for soup or stew. The handles are very comfortable and they really DON'T get hot. It, along with my other very small Cuisinart Chef pot are the only items I can ever recall that got a comment from my husband saying.. Whatever you paid for this it was worth it. And he doesn't cook.. just puts the food away. Cleans up well and I don't have to worry about scratching some coating or other. I like it. It is very functional and nice looking..can't beat that. "6 Quart Sauce Pot with lid" This is a great pot, no burning on the bottom and easy to clean. "Nice pan" This is a good quality, heavy pan. It cooks evenly and washes up just fine.

"Excellent multi-use pan", Heavy metal and quality construction make this pan with tight fitting lid an excellent tool for all types of cooking; boiling, braising, roasting, frying. "A little thin", I have the 12-quart pot from this same line and am very pleased with it. I needed something smaller, primarily to cook pasta, and figured this 6-quart pot would be just the ticket. It does that job okay, but in all honesty I'm a little disappointed with this one. The 12-quart model is built like a tank. The steel in the sides of this 6-quart model is a bit on the thin side. Not exactly fragile, but not quite industrial strength either. I don't think this pot would last long in a commercial kitchen. At least the lid wouldn't fit tightly for very long. The inside of the pot also stained on the very first use and the usual method of scrubbing and using vinegar have not been able to remove the stain. All that's ever been in the pot is water, salt, and pasta. I don't think any of these should leave permanent stains in stainless steel. On the plus side, the heavy aluminum disc in the bottom does an excellent job of heat distribution. The riveted handles are also very sturdy, though they do conduct heat very well, so count on using oven mitts when dumping pasta. Given the bargains I've gotten on other items in the Cuisinart Chef's Classic line, I guess I was expecting a bit better quality for the money. I'm not displeased, just not completely thrilled. "Very Pleased", I had the older cheaper model that came in a set, but ruined it. I liked the set so much that I wanted to replace the piece which was unavailable. This piece is similar enough that the lid fits even more snuggly on other pieces in my old set which is exactly what I wanted it to do. The handles are nice and give a sturdy grip on the pot. Very pleased. "Lives up to it's claims", Actually Ron's wife here. This cooking pot does it all, from spagetti to soup. It has nice even heating so there is no burnt food. It cleans up beautifully. The handy size is great for corn on the cob and spagetti pasta, especially if you don't have a large family to cook for any more. The lid is great, too. It designed perfectly so there's no leaking around the edges. And the price is right ... I would highly recommend this item. "wonderful product", This pot is the perfect size for anyone who likes making large sauces. Great quality and ease of cooking. Fits into most cupboards. A fine product from Cuisenart.
