However, the suction hose has terrible suction, it won't pick up ANYTHING unless the hose is right over top of it. And when I turn the vacuum on after dumping the canister, dust particles shoot out from either the front or the side (I can't tell where it is coming from). Also, dog hair gets trapped in the top filter and I have to pull it out with my fingers even if the bottom canister is empty. I had high hopes for this vacuum based on the reviews now I'm ready for a different vacuum.

It feels like it's self propelled, has a light that actuall helps on the front, and the amount of "stuff" it has sucked out of my carpet is almost embarassing. I have already bought 3 more of these for gifts after I got mine. It's worth every penny!!

"FOR SHORT LEFT-HANDED PEOPLE ONLY"
In the beginning, I was as happy as Harry Potter when he got his new Nimbus 2000. Like others I was impressed by the strong 12 amp motor that sucked up canister after canister of ancient dust as well as cat hair from my animal that died in 2001.

However: 1) the cord is on the wrong side for right-handed people. It is on the right and easily gets fouled up in the machine, your feet, rugs, etc. 2) The cord wrap is at least 12" lower than most machines. This forces deep knee bends and requires 13 revolutions to wrap the monster up. 3) HEPA non reusable filters! The literature said that these were on some models with washable filters on others. Irritatingly, I now have to buy potentially obsolete HEPA filters just to keep this cleaner running properly.

It's the little things that add up to dissatisfaction.

"Great Value!"
I had a Dyson when I lived in London and was heartbroken to have to sell it to my sister-in-law when we moved here. My husband bought me the Bissell for the short term to keep the apartment clean until we moved to a house. I was very pleasantly surprised because at first use the Powertrak filled up with so much fuzz and dirt that (besides almost fainting in shock at how filthy my apt was) it almost reminded me of the first time that I used my Dyson. It has continued to clean for the last three months to a very high standard on both hard floors and the carpet.

The only cons that I can see is that it is not as powerful as maybe some would wish and the attached hose is a little flimsy but as I don't live in a construction site, it is fine for everyday cleaning. It is very easy to maintain and the dirt cup and filters are simple to remove and clean. It is not a Dyson but it is EXCELLENT VALUE for the money.

"Powerful, Light weight, Great Vacuum!!"
What a vacuum! I got this vacuum and love it. When I got it put together (only three screws to put in -- very easy) I took it for a test. We had vacuumed the carpets just a week prior so I didn't think that it would really pick up anything. Boy, was I wrong. After vacuuming two medium sized rooms and a hallway, this vacuum picked up an unbelievable amount of dust, dirt and hair. I couldn't believe it! The power on this thing is just great, especially for the price!

PROS:
- Very powerful
- Great hose and attachments (crevise tool and small brush tool)
- Very easy to empty the BAGLESS canister!
- Lightweight (its not a feather weight like some, but still is light enough)
- Great design, very easy to use
- Lies completely flat and still vacuums to get under tables very easily
- HEPA filter keeps air clean

CONS:
- There are three filters, which can be a pain to clean
- The dust from emptying the canister gets pretty messy (but thats the price to pay for a bagless though)

All in all, this is a GREAT vacuum. I would highly recommend it. At the price its at, its worth a shot. The list of pros could go on, and the list of cons is quite short. The vacuum is a really great performer and you will be happy with it!
