Others say...
"one of my best investments" I used mine for a little more than 4 years, then passed it on to a friend. I too thought this was a waste of money, until the first time my boy screamed when I slapped a cold wipe on his bare little bottom...so off I went to purchase a wipes warmer. Even now I find myself running warm water on the toddler potty wipes before I help him, I certainly wouldn't want something cold there, you know. Also, I find baby wipes just out of the package somewhat dry; this warmer helps keep them very moist and warm, you must maintain it properly. Here's what I've discovered after 4 years; throw about 3/4 cup water once a week in the warmer, unplug it while on vacation, if the pad at the bottom gets "yucky" simply wash it with warm water, a bit of mild soap, squeeze it while washing, it comes pretty clean and takes only a minute once every couple months. At the same time clean out the warmer, just wipe it clean, no big deal. I only used 5 replacement pads in 4 yrs. If your child doesn't mind cold wipes, wonderful! one less thing to buy; I know you could hold wipes in your hand for a few seconds to warm them a bit, but there were messy times when I couldn't get wipes out fast enough to use. Huggies don't fit right, Pampers and most generic brands do. "Warm Wipes in the Winter are a must! " This seemed to be just another baby gear gimick at first but turned out to be great for both of our babies. We originally received this in 2005 for our first daughter. She was a small baby and got cold very easily, especially since she was born in the winter. Number two child was a winter baby too. We used this for both and it made changing diapers easier since the wipes were already warm. We used Kirkland brand wipes from Costco. The Costco pack is a little large for the warmer but you can store in the excess in a leftover pampers or huggies wipes plastic container until you need them. "Worked Great for the First 2 Months..." This warmer warms our pampers wipes perfectly, however after 2.5 months of use the latch to the pop up lid no longer works. "Ignore any complaints - it's a great product" I'm registering for this for my second baby because my first baby recently kicked it off the table and the lid broke off. I love it so much that I'm still using it even though it's broken! I only use Pampers wipes with it since they work the best (they pop up easily). I use other wipes (mostly gifts) in my travel container in the diaper bag. It WILL hold a whole refill pack. My little girl has had no infections from the warm wipes as a couple have complained about. Different brands and types can cause that too. I prefer the Pampers sensitive type. I bought a replacement pad for it, but I'm still on the original pad that it came with (after 16 months)! I just wash it whenever I add new wipes. You also have to add plenty of water (as it states in the instruction booklet) to keep the wipes and pad moist until it runs out. Besides being just the right temperature for babies, it's better than the plain plastic wipes containers because it's weighted, so you can use one hand to grab the wipe while holding baby's legs with the other. Just push the button to open the lid, and grab the next wipe that pops up! My ONLY complaint is that my baby is so used to the nice warm wipes that she doesn't appreciate being changed when we're traveling without the warmer. I didn't register for it with my first baby. I thought it was a frivolous silly thing, but I'm glad I gave it a try when a friend gave it to us as a gift - it's a great product! "My husband sleeps through the night now." This wipe warmer stopped the screaming at night. Now my husband can sleep since he has to go to work at 5:30. The baby really hated the cold wipes in the middle of the night. Works great in the bedroom for this purpose.

What our customer's say! "Everthing works great except for the latch", We bought this product before our baby was born. The idea is wonderful and our little baby boy appreciates the warm wipes that come out of it. My ONLY critisism is that the latch to close the warmer broke after about two months. Now we have to cram the next wipe to come out, in between the latch mechanism. The only reason I gave it a 3 is because it broke so soon - otherwise it works perfectly. "Not warm enough", wipes did not seem to be warm enough.room temp at best.maybe thats is what the temp is suposed to be but i think it could be a little warmer and there is not a temp adjustment control "Great for cloth wipes or washcloths", I got the Munchkin as a gift and when it rusted I took it back then I used the money to buy this on Amazon. I like this warmer it warms from the bottom the pillow replacements eliminate browning but I find that this warms a little too much for disposable wipes. Disposables are thin and can only hold so much moisture, browning happens when they dry out. I love SwaddleBees cloth wipes and they absorb and hold a lot of moisture and never dry out in this warmer. This warmer is perfect for cloth wipes and with three kids (8, 4 and 4 months) who sometimes find creative ways to get messy I find it is great to have a moist pre-warmed cloth wipe ready for cleaning up the baby and her big brothers. When my first son got to old for wipes I used this to warm up cloth wipes for make up removal (cheaper than buying make up removal cloths and no perfume to irrate my skin). This holds about 12 - 14 wet 8x8 SwaddleBees cloth wipes. I make sure the Everfresh pillow is wet and always use distilled water according to the instructions. I soak the cloth wipes in warm distilled water and fold them in half and put them in the warmer. This makes cleaning messy children so easy. "It Does Warm the Wipes, but...", ...yes, it's got flaws. We didn't need a wipe warmer with our daughter. She didn't mind the cold wipes. My son on the other hand was not going to stand for them at all. So at 6 days old, I broke down and ordered this for him. Wipes warmed up quickly and the refreshing pad does do the trick. My issues with this (and the reason I did not give it 5 stars) is that 1) My personal opinion is that it's too wet inside. It practically pours water off of the lid from all of the condensation. And 2) the pop-up lid stopped closing after 3 days of use. Knowing that this product had a history of this, I was determined to close the top gently so it didn't happen to ours. Well it did. I can see that the lip part of the lid isn't big enough to actually catch and keep it closed. Is it worth taking a newborn and a toddler to the post office to return it for another one...no. I stuck some scotch tape on the pop-up top and just open it by the larger part of the lid. Problem solved. "Crazy Squeaky Lid", This wipes warmer is pretty good when it comes to warming wipes, but the major problem is the funky lid. There's a button to open the lid and it pops open and has this squeaky "haunted house" door sound when it opens. The thing won't stay closed, so wipes will dry out. The first time the lid snapped open with that creepy squeaky sound, I was asleep and it just about scared the bejeezus out of me! Hubby also couldn't stand it anymore so we bought a Munchkin warmer instead. The Prince Lionheart does have the antimicrobial inside which is great, but the part where you pull out the wipes is tricky and we ended up having wipes get stuck and they'd rip when we went to pull them out. ![]()
Read this reviews before You buy... "Havent been able to use", I bought this baby wipe warmer in hopes that it was compatible with german housing. Well it wasnt. I should have read more into it. It basically just serves as a very expensive wipes holder. I dont really know how well it warmes up as I haven't been able to use it. "It has held up for 2 years!", I bought this when my son was born 27 months ago and have never had one problem with it. Replacing the moist pad is easy and affordable. They last for a few months if you soak them in water to clean them between wipes refills. I could not have lived with out this wipes warmer the past two years of changing diapers. I highly recommend it! "Horrible Warmer", I received my first Prince Lionheart Wipeswarmer when our first child was born. The button to release the top that reveals the pop-up feature broke almost immediately. We had to lift the lid each time and get water all over the place. The warming pad also dries out much quicker than 1 week so be sure to wet it often or it will dry out and burn. I bought a second Prince Lionheart warmer recently after our second child was born (since the other one had broken and become annoying to use.) I figured the first one's breaking had been a fluke. Low and behold the warmer made it 2 days and the button release broke once again...which shows its a defective part of the product. It will no longer stick down so you find it left open all day and your wipes have all dried out. I don't recommend this warmer to anyone. It's a complete waste of money and very poorly made. "Great warmer!", I bought my sister two of these for her baby (one for upstair one for down) because we loved it so much. You do need to add a bit of water every once in a while to keep wipes moist, rinsing the absorbent pad each time. Works great. "I love this for cloth wipes", I love the wipe warmer and highly recommend to mamas using cloth wipes. They do not fit through the little opening for sposie wipes so you have to open the whole top, but after a little use it opens easily. i actually forgot that it had the alternate opening. This kept our cloth wipes so warm and nice for our son. I couldnt imagine cloth diapering without cloth wipes and the wipe warmer. ![]() |
