"Breadman TR456 is the worst appliance I have ever had" I have been buying on the net for years and have always found the reviews helpful. After extensive investigation I settled on this Breadman. The first time I used it I was thrilled with it's performance and the ease of clean-up--the second time as well. The third time the entire breadman fell apart. Parts from the hinges and screws bounced all over the floor. My husband who is not particularly mechanical worked an hour on it and couldn't get it back together. It will cost me more to pack it and return it than it is worth, but I wanted to warn everyone how poorly made this is so that you do not make the same mistake I did. "Simple Sandwich Maker" The Breadman TR456 Panini Maker is very easy to use and makes great grilled sandwiches. The unit heats quickly, the floating hinge cooks evenly and the grill plates are large enough to handle 2 very large or 4 regular sized sandwiches. Clean up is easy too as the grill plates are non-stick. "Panini Grill for my son" I purchased this Panini Maker (Breadman) for my son around a month ago. I was telling him about how good a panini sandwich is and he sounded interested so I looked online to order him one. He lives in CO and I'm in PA. I talked to him again last night and he loves his panini maker - he says he uses it everyday to make his lunch. "Panini Sandwich Maker" I bought this for my sister for her birthday, it was this month. She calles me and tells me that was the best gift that anybody got her for her on her birthday, she loves it!! "Great Panini Press" After a fair amount of research, I decided to buy this panini maker for our family, as we have all recently gotten hooked on paninis. While I do wish that the grill plates themselves were detachable for easier cleaning, we are very happy with this product so far. Using regular loaf bread, you can make two sandwiches at a time. I also used this on a pita sandwich, and it worked great there too. It seems like a very sturdy product, and we anticipate a lot of use in the future.

Read this reviews before You buy... "Great Value", We have been using this model for a montha now and we love it! It cooks panins perfectly. It seems to be at the perfect temp as it produces a nicely toasted and thoroughly heated panini without burning. The top plate is heavy enough to compress the panini nicely and the grill ridges are very closely spaced that produces a classic panini. I almost gave it four stars because there are minor flaws in the build qualiy (Yea the indicator lights are a little difficult to read) but for 35$ who cares when you just wait five mins for it to heat up and get a perfect panini. "Breadman TR456 Panini Maker - Outstanding", We have been very pleased and impressed with the Breadman TR456 Panini Maker. We have used it for bread and sandwiches, and it performed as expected. We also tried grilling fish in it and were extremely pleased with the results. I really like the simplicity of it! No controls, no settings, just plug and go. The two lights were a bit too refractive in that it was difficult to tell if a light was on, depending on the viewing angle. This specific panini maker was recommended by a friend, with the note that it developed more heat than others (including the George Foreman grill). "Great buy", I love this panini press. I strongly disagree with the comments about hard to clean. If you only making Panini, you should only need to wipe off what leaks out of your sandwich, maybe some melted cheese. This isn't a George Foreman grill, don't put steaks, chicken, fish in it, it wasn't made for those. No need for switches, knobs or dials. You plug it in before you assemble your sandwiches, it's hot when you're done. When you take them out, unplug it. Simple, less bits to break. Because it was so inexpensive compared to the alternatives I was worried about it's longevity. I brought panini fixings to a party last New Years, thinking I'd make a couple batches, wait till they were eaten, then make some more. They were eaten so fast I didn't catch up for 3 hours. Two tables of food and the panini were going as fast as I could make them. Since it's usually on for only 15 mins or so I was getting worried it would be more than it could take, but it's still working. If there's a packing problem Amazon will fix it, it's NOT the fault of the product. It isn't made for anything besides turning bread to toast, and warming the filling so if you have a mess from chicken fingers it's not it's fault. Plug it in, use it, unplug it. I have no clue what the lights mean, I just stick sandwiches in and it makes them hot and toasty which is it's only purpose in life. For less than 1/2 of the price of many others that don't look near as sturdy it's a heck of a bargain. Mine has no problems, but I'm buying a 2nd one so I am sure to never be without one, I use it so often. |
