"Allergn reducer" I am very pleased with this product. We have two in our home. I use one in thr front and one in the back. Reduces our symptoms. I recently purchased one for my grandson who always woke up with a runny nose and coughed all night. He is sleeping much better and no runny nose. I have two cats and this reduces the dander wonderfully. The filters last for about 3 months. "Breathe easier" I bought 2 of these. One for my livingroom and one for my bedroom. I was waking up stuffed up every morning; mind you; i have 3 dogs although only 1 is allowed upstairs. After only 1 night of using TrueAir I woke up completely unstuffed and could breathe for the first time in over a year. I had my vents cleaned professionally after having rehabbed my bathroom. Dust just gets everywhere from rehabbing anythihng in your home. But Duct cleaning is not enough. The TrueAir in the livingroom where the dogs mostly play, helped with the air and also helps with ciggerette smoke too. For the price I would definitely recommend it. "IT WORKS and doesn't cost fortune!!!" Hi all, I recently purchased this Air cleaner, I was sceptical as I thought cheap product won't work, but I give it A+. I had it only for a week but already see the difference it made.. I have a studio apartment,which is very dusty plus I started suffering from alergies.. Since I purchased this air cleaner I never woke up with stuff in my throat any more and I used to on daily bases.. so it solved my problem and I can wake up much fresher and not stuffy.. also works great as white noise.. So I recommend this to all who need something that works and doesnt cost fortune!! GOOD LUCK "Nice little unit" Does a good job especially for a bedroom. I sleep through the night without any coughing and sneezing and wake up congestion free. Good value. "a little noisy at the lowest setting" I bought this mainly to reduce dust in my room. I haven't had it even a week so I cannot determine if it is effective in that regard. It is however, too noisy IMO at the lowest setting. it's louder than a laptop and even a dell computer. it's louder than a regular fan. i found that disappointing. Mine sometimes makes a squeal as well. At medium speed it's horrific. very very loud. I dare not try high speed :)

What our customer's say! "Freedom From Suffocation", Honestly: if you have allergies, this is one review you should take to heart. This, and all the others saying this filter has helped them. I came to a new apartment this year and the first night I got literally zero minutes of sleep because my noses was running full-on, non-stop. Not trying to be graphic, but I do wish to show you what a terrible thing in my life this filter has eliminated; and it HAS eliminated it. It's outrageous how well this thing works. Twice each year, for two weeks in the spring and two more in the fall, allergies make me their b**ch. Moving into this new aforementioned apartment was before allergy season, so it must have been filled with dust and/or mold. But I plopped this filter down and I have had zero problems whatsoever. My nose did not run at all the VERY next night, the second night I stayed at my new apartment, and my allergies never came this fall. Apparently the quality of the air you sleep in plays a powerful enough role to eliminate even daytime allergy problems. This product has changed my life. Buy it, fellow wheezers. "Surprisingly Efficient", I purchased this unit not expecting the performance that it produced. My partner has severe allergies and asthma, so I purchased a RabbitAir unit for the upstairs area where our bedroom is. It covers 600+ sq. feet and works very well if you need extensive protection. But we needed something for the sub-ground floor that would help during waking hours. While my partner was away I decided to make over that area including priming and painting. I put the are purifier in that area and cut a universal charcoal filter and placed it over the regular filter in the TrueAir. It was amazing and made the area much easier for me to work in. ( I did open a window during the day.) I even touched up some paint areas downstairs the day she came home from out of town and you could hardly smell anything. For the most part her sneezing and runny nose attacks are all but gone down in the lower part of the house. If you need something for either severe allergies during daylight hours or light to moderate allergies this really helps. **Tip. Buy some universal carbon filter sheets and cut to size to over lap fit the standard filter the cover will press right on. It not only helps with odors, but will prolong the life of the regular filter. I found the best price on the Universal carbon sheet filters at [...] "Works Great!", I bought one to replace an old one I had which was bigger put amazingly this works great maybe even better. Its small and pretty quiet unless set on the "high" setting. Its easy to clean and judging by how dirty the filter gets... this thing SUCKS everything up. Definitely worth the price. Only downside is that its very light and I feel that if I drop it or if it gets knocked off the dresser... it will shatter. "Great Product!!", This is a great product! My husband and I ordered it because we live in an apartment complex and the lady beneath us smokes. We were having trouble breathing at night, and waking up with stuffy noses and sore throats. I've had this for about 2 weeks now and we sleep BETTER THAN EVER!! This air cleaner gave us clear sinuses and GREAT sleep! Highly recommend this! "Cleans the Air, but Filter Cost Adds Up Fast", This product is not a true HEPA purifier. Its ok though, because it does work. I bought two of these for the storage room of my hosue, where the cat litter box is kept. My cats are too picky. They will only use one brand of litter and even though it is supposed to be dust-free, it is not. This unit captures the cat litter dust well, but the filters turn grey (the litter is grey) very fast. Replacing them adds up, especially when I feel like I am getting less than 120 days of filtration out of them. Overall, this unit works well, but the cost of replacing the filters has caused me to purchase units with permanent HEPA filters. 
Read this reviews before You buy... "No more allergy attacks!", Since I purchased this air filter, I've had far fewer problems with allergies in the morning. I used to wake up and immediately have a sneezing attack, which would last about 20 minutes. Now that I'm running the filter when I sleep, I wake up with clear sinuses and almost no sneezing. I experience less stuffiness and sneezing throughout the day, as well. As far as noise goes, the filter is almost imperceptible on its lowest setting, and on its highest setting it provides mild white noise, which helps drown out other sounds while sleeping. Overall, I'm very pleased with this product. "Made a big difference", I am starting to develop allergies and was waking up every couple hours. I decided to try an air purifier, but didn't want to buy the really expesive ones in case it didn't help. I have slept very well ever since buying this one. It's definitely cleaning the air and making a big difference. "Great Air purifier", It works pretty well. Cons: Highest setting is LOUD! Filter seems to get dirty fast. This could be a good thing or a bad. The filter seems sort of thin/small so maybe that's why it gets dirty fast. But at least its picking dust up? Pros: It works? Nice fan too. "I am new to air purifier", It was the first time I buy an airpurifier. It was super easy to setup/get started. I have been using it in the bedroom and I admit I did feel a change in the quality of air I breath. Is it that drastic, I would say not, but I enjoy that fact. The one good use I put it to - My wife travelled with her clothes and some spices in the bag. when she took out the spices they strongly smelled. I put the hampton in the closet for about 8 hrs and closed the closet. The clothing all smelled fresh and "spice-free". I was pretty happy with that. I give it 4 cuz I wasnt sure what to expect; it didnt change my life to give it 5 but no flows so far :-) "Good for small areas", I purchased the Hamilton Beach TrueAir 04381 because a) the price was reasonable and b) I've had good experience with another TrueAir product at home with my asthmatic daughter. My employer didn't just hire a new finance manager, he hired a more than casual smoker complete with the lingering cigarette smell that goes envelopes him, his clothes, and with pretty much everything he comes into contact. It's somewhat exaggerated, I'm sure, because our office had been virtually smoke free prior to his arrival. After a week of the stale, smoky air, though, I couldn't take it anymore and I started researching air cleaners and came across this one. While it doesn't do much for the common areas (nor is it intended to), it does keep the air in my own office noticeably cleaner and fresher. I thought I was going to have to get an ionizer-type to achieve that result, but I'm thankful that this one is doing the job. Again, it's not doing much for the rest of the office, but for my 120-150 square foot office (which is enclosed other than for the door), it does what I need it to do. |
