"work fine, little cheaper than wal mart" When I ordered it, this product had special option (promotion) 4-for-3 promotion. so I got little cheaper than regular prize and wal mart sell more expensive than amazon. and Amazon I don't need to pay tax. and it work fine. I ordered it two, one was for me and one was for my roommate. we both satisfied quility of filter "Great until refill" Mine sits next to my mother's chair (stroke victim) she smokes about 6-7 cigs a day, its only on when she smokes. Worked great on medium with original filter, but quite stinky with this limited use in about 2 months. Never worked the same when replaced the filter. Doesn't seem to be any front or back on them (both filters I've had are unmarked). Purchased authentic 3M replacement from Amazon for $12+, now I have to have on high all of the time whem my mother smokes (still only time used) and still not as effective as originally. Starting to smell after only a month with less smoking then before. Any suggestions? I really liked it originally for my limited use and felt I was protecting my own health (non-smoker). "got allergies get this filter" if you got the Hamilton Beach TrueAir 04381 Allergen Reducer Air Cleaner this filter is a must have.. get as many as you can.. "It's amazing!" Not much to say, it's a replacement filter. It's easy to replace and it traps a lot of cat hair. "more expensive" I bought 3 of these filters from Amazon for $30.00 but now each fiter has gone up to around $36.00 whih is ridiclous, that is how much the unit itslf cost. The filter itsef works great and last for 3 months, I know if you look around you can get the filters for about $19.99

What our customer's say! "Great product", An old, dark filter proved it was working. Due to cost, it wasn't replaced more often but was vacuumed. I stocked up when it was on sale in the Gold Box and at a 4 for 3 special. "Works well", Works really well. Gathers a lot of dust out of the air and is quieter and cheaper than the big HEPA models. "filter replacement", this was simply a filter replacement - at least it should have been simple - first vendor (who I have used before) took forever and then either they or Amazon cancelled the order - this second vendor shipped it right out - I'm a big believer in these Hamilton Beach HEPA air cleaners - 1 at home, 1 in my wife's office and 1 at my in-laws - really does a great job of cutting down on the symptoms of allergies (runny nose, sniffling, sneezing) immediately after turning it on several years ago I felt a difference and have hardly had any symptoms at all ever since "HAMITON BEACH True Air Filters", the filters are bout 6" x 6" give or take made out of card board and only last 4 months , if you have heavy smokers in the house like i do , i would go as big as you can, i still open my door , just to clean the air yes i would recommend. "Hamilton Beach TrueAir Allergen Reducing Filter", I use the Hamilton Beach TrueAir Filter in the same room I have my cat's litter box and it has helped tremdously with the pet dander and the odors from the litter box. It is a little noisy; however you get use to the sound and surprisingly it doesn't scare the cat. I would recommend it if you are looking for an inexpensive air filter system.

The filter itsef works great and last for 3 months, I know if you look around you can get the filters for about $19.99 "Filter for 04381 Hamilton Beach True Air ", This is an expensive filter at $13 but it should last 90-120 days. I'm banking on that. It is heavy duty and should filter out well. I still have mine in place after 30 days. It has turned dark, so I know it is doing its job. The only thing is the expense. "Filter review", This filter is always full when I change it every 4 months so it's taking things out of the air that we would otherwise be breathing. "Great affordable home air filter system", We really love this filter and are always shocked at how much it takes from our air! It also helps my allergies when they are in full bloom "Inexpensive filter, can be impoved with carbon filter add-on", This filter does not need to be replaced every 120 days. You can get by, by vacuuming it and reuse it a few times. Compared to the price of other filters, this filter is fairly inexpensive. Currently, Amazon has the `Buy 4, Get 1 Free' deal on this. With that noted, I have tried Daniel Sessoms' suggestion (found in TrueAir 04712 filter review) on how to make the "Hamilton Beach TrueAir 04381 Allergen Reducer" purifier more HEPA-like. What I did was add a carbon filter to the TrueAir 04712 Filter by purchasing the "Honeywell 38002 Enviracare Universal Replacement Pre-Filter" (an inexpensive carbon filter). From just one Honeywell 38002 carbon filter, I was able to cut up 12 pieces for the TrueAir 04712 filter (The cut up pieces of carbon filter factor to be only $0.65 a piece based on price I purchased at). Next, I just simply tape one piece of the cut up Honeywell 38002 carbon filter to the front side of the TrueAir 04712 filter with regular masking tape (taped up edges to filter). The carbon filter will now act as an extra layer of filter, to prevent dust & also clean up some odor. Every 120 days (or whenever carbon filter turns `gray' due to dust accumulation), I would just remove & throw away the carbon filter, but keep the actual TrueAir 04712 filter (to reuse again). I vacuum the dust off the TrueAir 04712 filter, and tape a new piece of carbon filter to the same side of TrueAir 04712 filter as before. This is to prevent dust on the filter, in case my vacuum didn't pick them all up, from getting suck back into my room again. And when putting back the filter into the purifier, I would make sure to leave the carbon filter facing outward. After doing this carbon filter add-on to the filter, the Hamilton Beach TrueAir 04381 purifier does seem to work better. At least now, not only does it remove dust & pollen, it can also remove odors. |
