"Nice Scoop!!!" Nice balanced weight,some family members have said its on the heavy side,I think its just right.It cuts through hard ice cream a lot easier than other scoops I've tried and feels secure in my hand... "Great scoop until the finish flakes!" The ergonomics of this scoop are quite good -- very sturdy, easy to grip, makes nice round scoops. After about two years use, however, the aluminum finish in the center of the scoop has started to flake, which doesn't give one a warm fuzzy feeling! "A scoop worth buying" ... Happy I bought this! Love this brand and love this scoop! It makes all my hard ice cream a breeze to scoop PLUS none of my spoons are getting bent! "Good design except CORROSION of scoop" Had two. Current one just like the first one is seriously corroded. Scoop surface appears to be chrome but not. If it is aluminum the anodizing breaks down. A different brand that was aluminum had the same problem. My guess is anodized aluminum not suitable. Generally Zyliss makes quality kitchen tools. This has serious flaw. Wrote them and they offered a new one free if I sent the old one in. Not worth the time and cost. The corrosion is serious over time. Maybe a teflon coating? Fourcents "Very easy to use" We've been through a few ice cream scoops in our house, and this one gets the best ratings from everyone. Even the kids find it easier to scoop out ice cream on their own.

What our customer's say! "The only scoop to use", This ice cream scoop is nothing like any other scoop I have or have used. It has a good amount of weight on the head of the scoop that seems to help with going into the ice cream. The handle fits perfectly in the hand and is made of a solid material that does seem like it will last even with a lot of pushing on it. What I like about it is that the front edge of the scoop cuts into the ice cream very easily and turns nice shaped scoops of ice cream. The way it handles makes it a breeze to serve even hard ice cream. I wish I would have bought this thing a long time ago. "Overrated", Yes, it scoops ice cream. No, it doesn't magically make the ice cream fall out with no effort. "Ice Cream Scoop", This scoop is easy to use and clean. The handle allows for a really firm grip. "Great little scoop!", This is a great little ice cream scoop. It is able to dig into hard ice cream much better than the traditional round scoop. I still have to leave the ice cream out a little while if it really hard before it can be scooped, but this works much better than my old one. "Very Pleased", I wasn't planning on buying an ice scoop because I actually thought what difference could there be between this one and my old aluminum one I had at home? After reading the reviews I bought it since it's not very expensive. I'm so happy I did. First, our aluminum scoop would get these strange white dots on it from the dishwasher so we always had to handwash it. No problem here. It comes out of the dishwasher like new. Also, the edge of the scoop which first makes contact with the ice cream is much finer/sharper than my old one. Thus, it "cuts" the ice cream. It's so easy to use, even my 8 year old who is not particularily strong in her fingers can use it. 
Read this reviews before You buy... "Excellent", Great product. Weighted just right so that you can form a perfect scoop from ice cream that is relatively hard! So glad I purchased this item. It will last a lifetime. "does the job perfectly", I only served icecream in a bowl using this scoop - came out just pretty! "Zyliss ice cream scoop", This ice cream scoop is great. No matter how hard the ice cream gets the scoop goes right through it. The handle does not break. "best scoop ever", We have a range of scoops (pampered chef, oxo and cheaper ones). this one so far is the best. it scoops eveb hard ice cream and cleans up well. "Get the inside scoop", The funny thing is that I bought this two years ago, and I just realized I haven't bought a scoop since. That's very unusual for me, because I'm always on the lookout for a better scoop. Apparently, I've found the better scoop! It is very solid feeling and heavy. No worries about breaking this scoop. The handle is very easy to hold and provides good leverage. The scoop is very thick aluminum. That really helps when running it under hot water because the scoop will stay warm when it hits the frozen ice cream. Thin scoops are hardly worth heating, as they freeze almost instantly when they hit the ice cream. No gimmicks here -- it just works! If this review was helpful, please mark it as such. |
