"Very Impressed"
This was actually a mistake order, originally the Amazon page had a video demo of a different Bissell product with a removable hand vac. At the sale price they had it at, I had to order it - and was upset when the package arrived with this one.

Man, do I take that back. This thing is great! It cleans up everything - we have pets, most importantly 7 ferrets, which leads to a lot of hair and stray pieces of litter all over the place. This thing sucks them up with ease, in a pinch I've used it as a shopvac (though be careful with sawdust, it tends to clog things obviously), and the most important part...how easy it is.

I've had it for 6 months and haven't changed a filter yet. Every few uses, I take the dirt catcher out, and above it is the main "black styrofoam" looking filter. I take it outside, beat it like I'm beating out a carpet, and put it back in. Is it a perfect solution? Of course not, I *should* just buy a new filter...but I haven't replaced one filter yet and it still cleans at full power, so why bother?

My fiancee over-used one of those powder things that you sprinkle on the carpet and then vacuum up - to the point where the room was full of dust while vacuuming it up. I vacuumed it up with this thing and, like sawdust, the abundance of small particles clogged it...but surprisingly, only slightly. I expected it to handle it much worse. But that's not what impressed me.

Without any tools I was able to take apart basically every single piece except the wheel on the foot. I could get into the hose from both ends, pull all filters out, and remove all clogs and buildups of carpet powder in the vacuum itself, the hose, the filters, and the dirt collection bin very, very easily. Using my shopvac I had the entire Bissell clean in 3 minutes (under normal use this will never be necessary, I simply want to illustrate an extreme case I experienced). I then took the foot and wheel off, cleaned the rest of it completely, and put it back on.

Total process time to disassemble the entire vacuum, clean it with the shopvac, wipe it down and reassemble everything (including the foot wheel): MAYBE 10 minutes. 5 once you've done it once. And all you need is a screwdriver (not necessary unless you're working with the foot wheel).

If I had to do it again, I would buy this in a heartbeat. I will never, ever go back to bagged vacuums.

"My First Bagless is Great"
This was my first bagless vacuum and I absolutely love it. It is very sturdy, but lightweight at the same time. It is very easy to empty and the long cord is wonderful. The only thing about the cord is that it should have been attached to the back of the vacuum instead of the side. It seems to always get in my way. But other than that, I have been extremely pleased. It gets up far more dirt that my old bag model and my carpets look cleaner. I would recommend this to anyone.

"Easy to use with no hassle and vacuums great"
I have had it for over a year now and it works great. Noise while vacuuming is not really high, but I hvae not seen many vaccums that are quite either. Suction power is great. If I vacuum using this right after vacuuming with my old vacuum clean it picks up so much more dirt. Carpet does visibly look cleaner and smells fresher. Worth the money if you live in a apartment like me where the carpet has seen all kinds of dirt. I thought the headlight was an unnecessary accessory but it does come in handy. Having said this I would not spend an extra $100 for the bissel's higher end model where in you can pull out part of the vaccum to carry it around. I would recommend this product to anyone who likes to keep their carpet clean.

"Seemed nice in begining"
I only used this vaccum a few times before it became extremely loud. It's so bad I have purchased a new Panasonic to replace it. I will never buy a Bissell vaccum again.

"Very disappointing"
I have always been impressed with Bissell and I have a GoVac and love it, but this was extremely disappointing. We've only had this vacuum 5 months and it's already deceased. The power in the motor has completely gone bust and the lint trap inside has fallen out. It could be that they send the reject models to the military posts at a discounted rate, I'm not sure. It was about $10 off the Amazon list price, but it will also make me rethink about buying Bissell again.

What our customer's say!

"Great vacuum for the money!", I just picked up this vacuum today from Best Buy. My parents have a Dyson animal and I was going save up and buy one but then I came across some reviews for the Bissell CleanView model 35762.

All in all, I think it's great vacuum for the money. I got mine for like $85 (as opposed to spending more than $400 for a new Dyson).

I thought it did a real nice job at cleaning up the carpet. I live in an 800 sq. ft apartment with no pets or roommates. I've only been here for a month, and I didn't think the carpet was all that dirty. But when I was done cleaning, I was amazed at how much dirt and dust was in the collection bin. My old vacuum cleaner was a cheapo unit I got at Wal-mart before I started grad school. It didn't have a HEPA filter, but it was bagless. However, with the HEPA the air that returns to the room(s) is much much cleaner. So this vacuum is certainly a big upgrade over what I used to use.

I used the attachments to clean the couch and it did a good job. The extension cord is plenty long; I could clean the whole place without having to go from outlet to outlet. A few people complained about the noise. This vacuum is no louder than any other vacuum (including my parent's Dyson).

When I was done, I decided to clean the filters and empty the dustbin. If there are any potential drawbacks, it's when you need to empty the bin. I didn't think it was a big deal cleaning it out. Just take it out carefully and stick it in a garbage back and shake the container until most of the junk comes out.

Then I cleaned the filters and dust bin per the instructions. That took all of 5 minutes. Since so much dust and debris was collected on my first use, it's probably a good idea to clean the filters fairly often. I only vacuum once or twice a month, so a monthly cleaning should be OK.

I think for less than a $100 this is very good vacuum for the money. If you need to clean a lot, or have a really big house, this might not be the vacuum for you. But for moderate sized apartments/homes, this is a decent vacuum.

"Great for Pet Owners", We have 3 dogs and 3 cats and one of the cats is a long-haired shed monster, as is one of our dogs. We live in the country and we and the animals track in loads of dirt and dust.

I've worn out 4 vacuum cleaners in the last three years and wind up shampooing alot.

My husband brought this home - and I went into shock at the amount of unseen hair (and dust) it picked up in minutes. This was on recently shampooed rugs!

I don't care how long it lasts - I will never buy a high-priced vacuum again. This has great power - and I'm not worried about having to empty the container frequently (I just throw the dust and hair into a compost pile). Also beats having to buy bags.

"Dependable, hard-working vacuum", I own a residential house-cleaning company and use this vacuum (and a Bissell Butler Revolution - wish they still made those!)to vacuum floors. This is a great vacuum at a great price - have used it to clean at least 6 homes weekly for the last 6 months - including homes with LOTS of cats and dogs. I clean the filters weekly - very easy to pop out, and the main filter inside the clear dust cup just needs to be rinsed and popped back in once it's dry. This vacuum has been a real workhorse. Something got tangled around the front wheel and it came off - called Bissell and they had a replacement to me within a week - no charge, as it was still under warranty. This vacuum does great on all sorts of carpets - like most uprights, it scatters dust and dirt around on hardwood and tiled floors - but that's not what it should be used for anyway. Was going to get an Oreck, but just the price of BAGS for the Orecks is prohibitive - another great feature of this Bissell is that the dust cup comes out easily (but locks in securely with just a flick of a lever)and has quite a bit of room in there to vacuum an entire house before it has to be emptied. Am very pleased with this vacuum.

"More than 5 stars!", With Bissell I've finally found the answer to dreading vacuuming! I see now that this model is no longer available through Amazon, but please read this reveiw anyway because it may apply to other Bissell bagless models too.

A couple of days before this one arrived I threw my Dirt Devil Featherlite out on the curb! I just couldn't take the NOISE anymore. I've kept my old Hoover around because they just don't build 'em like that anymore -- after 25 years it still works. BUT, even Hoover doesn't make a decent vacuum cleaner anymore.

This beautiful Bissell -- NOT loud and abnoxious, not heavy, and easy to assemble, use, and empty. What's really really cool though is that it actually works! It gets up more than any other vacuum I've used. My rugs and carpets look GREAT -- and that's with four cats in the house! And, a real bonus is that the hose is FLEXIBLE -- it's not one of those awful rigid hoses that doesn't seem to want to go the direction you're aiming for!

This item should get a lot more than 5 stars!

"Excellent Vaccum Cleaner ", We purchased this vaccum after a lot of research and reading the reviews from amazon.com. We found this prodcuct is excellent . Highly recommended.

Read this reviews before You buy...

"Excellent Model", There have been a lot of improvements from the previous models. I actually bought this after reading the reviews on amazon and also based on a friend's experience with the cleaner.

(1) I particularly liked the transparent bagless dirt container. It really tells you how much you collected from each room and lets you know how dirty each room is.

(2) The cleaner itself is so light from a previous model and it is effortless to move it around as long as you have the correct setting (in terms of carpet height)

(3) Very easy to assemble, it assembled in less than 10 minutes.

(4) As other reviewers said, I did not get a single sneeze because of its airtight design. It does not seem to create any dust while vaccuming.

(5) It not only cleans the carpets well, also the bare floor. The floor of my kitchen was done in a few seconds!

I would say that this is a wonderful vaccum and must have for every home!

"good little vacuum", I read the reviews on this vacuum before I purchased it and it is everything everyone said it was. It is very light weight and easy to move around. I am still getting used to emptying the dirt and trying to keep from spilling it when I do. I am not used to a bagless so I just have to get coordinated. I really like being able to feel like I have a new bag each time. I find the attachments to be very versatile and user friendly also. I would highly recommend this purchase for someone not wanting to have to spend an arm and a leg!

"Best vacuum", My old vacuum, a bag type, blew its motor and I dreaded buying a new one. I decided to try this one, and what a difference! I had no idea what I had been settling for with my old one. This vacuum cleaned my carpet very well in one pass, and it's great on my tile and wood floors as well. The canister, filters, etc. are easily accessed. The light is bright, I didn't even need to turn on the overhead walk-in closet light to vacuum in there. My old bag-type vacuum left an odor (from dog hair)--with this one, I just empty the canister, no odor. It's great!

"The Perfect Vacuum", I never thought I would be so enthused about a vacuum! All the other reviews on this vacuum are right.. It is easy to put together (I did it myself which is quite an accomplishment), has three filters one of which is a HEPA (very important to me since I have a baby crawling around my home), cleans better than any vacuum I have ever seen (first time I used it I was amazed at all the stuff it picked up), the bagless feature makes it extremely easy to clean (took me about 15 seconds to empty and rinse), and to top it off it has a price that really fits my budget. If you are trying to find a great vacuum, look no further this one is PERFECT!

"Oh yeah, changing the canister!", Another thing I'd like to note is that in comparing the Bissell Cleanview model to both Hoover and Eureka models, GETTING THE CANISTER ON AND OFF WAS SUCH A BREEZE COMPARED TO THE OTHERS (one of my major deciding factors)!

Additionally, it's worthy to note that ALL THREE filters one the Bissell Cleanview are VERY EASILY ACCESSIBLE and CHANGEABLE.
