"Electric Skillet Is Great " Presto 06841 Professional Electric Skillet and Server: This Electric Skillet is perfect especially if you live in a casita that has no kitchen...you can throw in a pot roast with all kinds of vegetables and you have cooked the entire meal in the skillet. It is great. There are so many things you can do with this skillet...such as cooking breakfast, lunch and dinner in it. "Even heat on a slick surface" PRESTO's description of this electric skillet as "professional" is a little overstated perhaps but this is a good skillet for the price. The weakneeses involve keeping the legs and lid handle screws tight without stripping the aluminum threads but this is a problem with all the electric skillets I have had. The stregths are the long oval shape so that bacon gets little chance to curl, the non stick surface which, so far, is one of the best we have ever had, the glass lid is thick and unlikely to break and it is attractive enough to sit on the table when the food is cooked. I had purchased another, less expensive, model shortly prior to purchasing this one and I had to take it back because one side of the cooking surface was much cooler than the other. "So far So good" I have owned my new Presto Skillet for a little over a month, and I love it, I believe that this is what non stick should be like, food never stick to the surface, its easy to clean, most of the time I just use a paper towel to clean it, depending on what I cook in it. I recommend it. "Great Skillet" The finish on this skillet is the best I've ever worked with. Cleaning is a breeze. It is a little large for two people but I can now cook almost the entire meal in one pot. It arrived well within the delivery estimate. I would deal with this company again in the future. "An Outstanding Electric Skillet" My Presto electric skillet is a wonderful addition to my kitchen, replacing my old "Harvest Gold" electric skillet purchased many, many years ago. I had looked in many local stores for a new skillet but found those in the moderate price range to be of poor quality-- especially in regards to the "nonstick" surfaces. I turned to Amazon.con and after reading many helpful reviews concluded that the Presto 06841 was the one for me. The finishes (interior and exterior) are highly durable. Although it, on first take, seemed too large; it is actually a great size. Clean-up is easy and the thermostat seems quite accurate. In addition to be serviceable, it also has an attractive design that is suitable for a buffet table. I strongly recomment this product.

What our customer's say! "Great product.", I purchased this product over a year ago and it still looks like new (after much use). It is easy to clean and heats evenly and quickly. The non-stick surface is very durable. I have been very pleased with this product and would recommend it to anyone. Hope it lasts a long time "Good Item, But Look For Better", Have been using this for several months now. From a cooking standpoint, it is excellent: even heat, heats rapidly, truly non-stick surface and roomy enough for four eggs or two big pancakes. Easy to clean and am still looking for a spot large enough to store it. Why 4 stars and not 5? As other reviewers have pointed out, you have to constantly screw the legs back in. Amazing: you'd think the knuckleheads at Presto would have corrected that problem before making any more. In two months, I've had to do this three times - the screws keep coming loose. Don't think you can just over-tighten them - in time, that would break the plastic legs. "One Fine Skillet!", It has been so many years since I cooked with an electric skillet and didn't realize how much I missed having one until I received and used the Presto Electric Skillet and Server. After using it several times, I have no complaints other than I do wish it had a steam vent in the lid. It is a great skillet-large enough to produce family meals, easy clean-up, and a very attractive item if you choose to serve from it. Other reviewers mentioned having problems with the handles which, so far, I have not. Presto includes a small paper quick guide without recipes. However, they do give you their web address where you can download an instruction manual and buy their electric skillet cookbook, parts/accessories and other Presto products. "Perfect size", I was concerned that this Presto electric skillet would be too large and hard to clean. I was worried for nothing. It seems to be the perfect size, no matter what I'm cooking. After dinner I load it in the dishwasher and it comes out looking brand new. I've never been happier with a small appliance. Highly recommended. 
Read this reviews before You buy... "Great skillet", We replaced our last two skillets because the non-stick surface scratched off rather quickly. I checked the reviews and gave this one a try. We are very happy with it. We were a little concerned at first thinking it would be too small to cook breakfast for our family of four, but it does the job just fine. It is very durable so far, my only problem with it is that the glass lid has no vent, so it steams up and you can't see the food well without lifting the lid. Over all, it is the best skillet we have tried so far. "Great", This skillet is the best. Its shape and size are great. Its quality is remarkable and the non-stick coating is revolutionary. I have never seen non stick coating like this before. I highly recommend this skillet! "Best for the price", Can't beat this skillet for the price. It's a no-frills skillet that does the job well. I bought it based on my shopping around and reading the opinions here. It's heavier and I think better quality than the other Presto electric skillets that you can buy in all the department stores. Heats up quickly, cooks evenly, cleans up easily. A pleasure to use! I have fried fish, fried chicken, cooked omelets, done tempeh-veggie stir fry, etc. and all have turned out well. "Presto 06841 Professional Electric Skillet and Server", To tell you the truth I have never had this brand of Electric skillet nor have I had a professional brand, even though I have just purchased this electric skillet and have not really had a chance to see it's performance over the long haul but so far the few times I have used it, I have had no problems and I can say it is fast and heats up almost instantly. Does not burn or scorch the food and is a breeze to clean even easier than my Westbend electric skillet with a teflon interior, this Presto brand seems quite sturdy, handles are strong has a nice big handle on top of lid which is nice to hold. Skillet is heavy for heavy duty aluminum which is a very good feature and don't find that kind of quality in electric skillets nowadays, at this point I can tell you I am very happy with the purchase of this skillet and it far outweighed my expectations of the Presto brand. Even though I did not price this skillet anywhere else I believe I paid a lower price than I would have paid in the brick and mortar stores, Sure Source which was the seller of this skillet I might add was fast and my Skillet arrived in tact and working. If you want to purchase a brand that meets the sturdiness and versatility that this brand seems to offer then I would recommend this Professional style Skillet which also doubles as a server. "Presto's Electric Skillet tops the others!", Presto's Electric Skillet and Server is one of the best! I use electric skillets quite frequently in cooking I find that Presto's electric skillet cooks evenly, washes easily and resists scratches better than the other brands. Reasonably priced, it is a good deal for everyday cooking needs. |
