"My kitchen Timer"
The timer works well. The digital numbers are small and somewhat hard to see unless you place the timer near you while working in the kitchen. I have to use it laying flat because it is difficult to read at the angle it assumes when propped up.

It effectively time multiple items on the four programable timers.

"Great little timer"
I bought this timer for my kids. I home school them, so I needed a timer to time total time per subject as well as time addition/subtraction facts. I was looking for a timer that would count down seconds and minutes. I love the four preset buttons. That was a bonus. I highly recommend.

"A great little timer"
I purchased the CDN PT1A Digital Timer/Clock 4 Event Programmable as a replacement for a virtually identical Pyrex 4 event timer now discountinued. I also own two triple event timers from other manufacturers; this one is easier to use an more reliable. I am a personal chef so I have a CDN PT1A Digital Timer/Clock 4 Event Programmable in my kitchen at home and one in my cook day kit for use in my clients' homes. What a handy little timer. You won't regret your purchase.

"Broke first week"
I got this timer to replace my Westbend 3 event timer which I have have for years and love. Too bad they don't make that model anymore. But, the button contacts are wearing lose. I had this timer for a week, it has a lot of functionality but the slider used to change between Count Down, Count Up, Program Timer and Clock seems flimsy and cheap. Well, true to form, when I slide it back to Count Down, which is the function I use most often, it would only give me Count Up.... Try after Try, no luck. It seems like it would be a great timer with lots of functions, but reliability does not seem to be one of them.

"Digital Timer/Clock 4 Event Programmable"
This is an excellent timer for the money. It can do more than time 4 items going on. It can count up on all 4 timers also and it goes beyond 24 hours if you need for some reason. It is amazing timer which should not be removed from the market.

The only thing bad that may bother people is the size of the buttons and the display.

What our customer's say!

"Best timer ever", I have owned a lot of timers in my time and I have settled on this one, since it appears to be a clear notch above all others I have tried (about 5 or 6, at least). I now own four: one at work, two for my and my wife's meditation and one for the kitchen.
It is not necessary to need to time 4 things simulaneously to find this timer handy. I usually time my cooking for 5 min, 10 min, 15 min or 30 min, so it is simple to switch between. If I need to time for 7 min, then I just hit the preset for 5 and add 2 minutes to it without losing the preset. It is that easy.
It is intuitive and easy to set the times or instantly change them on all four timers.
As for switching between modes, it is unecessary to switch away from the program mode, if you primarily do countdown timing for cooking, etc.
The only change I would request would be to have it powered by the easy to find AA or AAA batteries, but so far I have been always able to track down a compatible disc battery.

"Awesome assistant for any project", I had one of these for years when something in the battery compartment didn't fit snug anymore. After finding it again online at Kitchen Kaboodle for 19.95 including shipping, I am back on track!

"Excellent for multi-tasking", This digital timer is an excellent tool for busy multi-taskers. You can have up to 4 different alarms going at once. I've used it in the kitchen, setting different timers for different dishes. (Now I no longer burn my food while watching TV or reading a book!) I've used it at my desk, tracking how long it takes me to do something (the "count up" feature), or giving myself a "time to stop" reminder (the "count down" feature). And I've used it at writer critique meetings to time each person's share of brainstorming time.

An excellent tool with many uses!

"A very useful tool", This timer provides a way to time as many as four events at once. It is easy to use and the display is large enough to read easily. It has a couple of features I most likely will not often use, if ever, but it most certainly fulfills the purpose for which it was purchased, which was to help me keep up with multiple cook times. Furthermore, it can stand on a counter, its magnet allows you to stick it onto a metal surface, or you can use the clip on the back to attach it, say, to your shirt pocket for portability. I'm pleased with my purchase, and I consider it worth what I paid for it, so I highly recommend it.

"Multi-function timer", This timer has many usefull functions. It tells time, counts up and down, and offers 4 programable timing options. Unfortunately, the buttons are difficult to push, and sometimes get stuck, making it difficult to program. Also, the slide bar function selector doesn't always work, making it difficult to tell if you have succeeded in programming your timer.

It's still more useful than an egg timer, but not as much as a previous timer, which had the problem with the button edges getting stuck on the edges of the holes they are in when you try to push them, but not the slide bar issue.

Try a different brand, but the same style of timer.

"waiting for previous edition to quit , to buy this one !", i have an old one that looks just like this, 2"x2.25
called 'BIG time DIGITAL TIMER', but i'm sure it's the same company
i've have it for many year now, and it won't die !!
only problem was it can easily start beeping in pocket if pushed
against something, so i put a plastic cover over it, easily taken off
plenty loud, we use it as an alarm clock when on the road
the battery 1 AAA is easily removed
it doesn't have a clock, and only one timer, but it has been a god-send
for many years now, but will certainly buy the product shown above, when this one dies i rate my old one 10* !!!

"Excellent timer--used on Space Shuttle!", This is one of the best timers I've ever used, in the kitchen and out-- I'm a pilot and use it in airplanes as well--it's that convenient. In fact, a buddy of mine at NASA told me that this exact timer has been used for years on the Space Shuttle flight deck by the astronauts! Just look at pictures of the Shuttle decks--exact same timer! Interesting factoid, for sure. I've also dropped mine countless times and it keeps on ticking. That seems to be a rarity these days with electronics.

"Exceptional timer", This timer has several custom presets that can be used simultaneously, so you can time four separate things at once. It is easy to use and well priced. I have 2- one for work and one for home. The only problem is that the battery sometimes moves around and breaks contact (this doesn't happen often). I will buy this timer again if it gets lost.

.... N O T E:

Sadly, the PYREX PROFESSIONAL TIMER, which looks EXACTLY like the CDN timer....except for a different logo, in a different colour, (red, not black like the CDN), and which is SLIGHTLY, (VERY slightly), easier to slide between the various controls, and which I had mentiond was, (due to this easier sliding between the controls), even better than the CDN, seems no longer available. The difference, though slight, is greatly missed, (ROBINSON KNIFE COMPANY -- producer of the Pyrex Professional timer...please take note.) However, the CDN timer, described below, is 98% as good....and, as of this re-writing of my intro to my review, is the best timer on the market that I know of, anyway. If and whe the Pyrex Professional Timer ever comes back, I really recomnend it. But don't hold your breath, (sigh!) If you need a timer, NOW...the CDN timer, reviewed below, is definitely the one to buy. As I said, it is 98% identical to the Pyrex Professional. The BEST timer, in my opinion, on the market today.........

..... ORIGINAL REVIEW
THIS IS THE ONLY TIMER I've ever come across which need
not always start at 0. For instance, if you are timing
how long you want to spend reading, and want to break the
time up into two periods, you can start at 3 hours, time
yourself down to 1 hour and 35 minutes, stop, then contin-
ue on later, for the remaining time.

I use this timer for everything.... As it's sometimes
hard for me to walk for a long time, I simply use this
timer in place of a pedometer, counting how long I stand
up and walk around my apartment! It allows me to stop, keep the amount of time I've used, then sit down, and start counting again, after I have rested, without any re-setting! I also use the 4 separate timers as an alarm clock, setting each of them 1 1/2 minutes apart! (Hmmm...anyone know
why the "1/2..1/4" key that used to be on all typewriters is
nowhere to be found on any computers?)

Anyway...this timer is small enough to be carried in
in your pocket or purse. I got one years ago, and found
it hard, then, to place and remove the battery. I'm glad
this has now been corrected. Like another reviewer, I,
too, have trouble setting the clock. My answer is to wait
until 12:00....then quickly remove and replace the battery.
(The clock starts at 12:00)

99% perfect! That's a difficult rating for any product
to attain -- but in my estimation, this little timer
has achieved it!

"Best little timer", This timer is fantastic. It can time four events. It has a separate clock which is always accessible. Each of the 4 events can be counted up or down. The timer can be used as an alarm clock, by counting up from the present time to the time to wake up. No need to think about time zones. This type of timer is visible in the background of one of the space shuttles.
