"SONY Wireless Headphones Solve Problem", The MDR-IF240RK Wireless Headphone System has made it possible for me to enjoy DVDs and our DVR with a normal sound setting while the mute button is pushed to keep the house quiet for sleeping family members. For years I have had to regulate the sounds to avoid disturbing others. What a difference! It was worth the expense and easy to install by myself. Great product.

"Not worth it-buy something else...", These headphones had a lot of static and the range was ridiculously low. I had a set of Philips before these where the headphones were top-notch, minimal static, very sturdy and stayed on my head. I'm a smaller woman and I can't get these Sony things to stay on my head at all. They slide all over the place and fall of constantly. They are very lightweight, but it doesn't matter because you can only sit in one place and not move your head at all or they fall right off. I'm going to return them as soon as I find a good replacement. They do keep their charge a long time though. As a side note don't buy Best Buy's product Rocketfish. They shorted out and broke in 2 weeks. They didn't have much less static then these Sony headphones. I think I am going to have to spend a lot of money to buy a decent pair. I wish I could find those Philips headphones again. One good feature is that they have the volume control on the headset. This is essential I think when buying wireless headphones.

"Sony MDR-IF240RK wireless headset", I have found that the head phone works very well within my room, but it will not penetrate walls, but that is something that I overlooked when I was getting ready to buy the headset,So I have only myself to blame for that, So I am giving the headset a very good rating for sound and quality for the price that I paid for it.

"owner", Do not use this product with a plasma TV due to the (very loud) static you will hear when any bright image appears on the TV.

"Nice Solution", This rechargeable headset from Sony is a great solution to the dilema of having a spouse watch TV while you are trying to sleep. No need to be inconsiderate or start a new and unnecessary argument, just set the TV on mute and turn on your headset. This allows couples to not "let the sun go down on your wrath."

"Life altering!", I purchased these wireless headphones for my mother's television so that I could sleep at night. They work perfectly. The only complaint I have is that this is the second set I bought in slightly less than three years.

"Disappointed", I purchased these headphones to use while I am on the treadmill. However, there is so much static that they are unusable and I returned the item.

The headphones are small and sleak which is a +. Very comfortable too. But they don't cover your ears well enough to cancel outside noise. The biggest problem is that the range is TOO SHORT. If you are not standing directly in front of the base, you lose reception and you can't hear. I ended up purchasing some from Radio Shack. Now I can walk to the other end of the house and STILL HEAR! DEFINITELY DON'T BUY THESE!!!!! You'll be sorry if you do.

"Very nice for TV", Absolutely no complaints. They may not be good enough for music but they are certainly adequate for TV. Very comfortable. Good fit. Charge lasts quite awhile.
If you are looking for an good quality head phones that you can listen to the TV while people sleep in the next room these will fit the bill.

"Now Hear This!", I always get a little excited when something works as well as it's advertised, especially when purchased, sight unseen.

So it is with my Sony MDR-IF240RK Wireless Headphone System. Being a retired military person, I have a small hearing problem. (Actually, the problem lies with THOSE who don't speak clearly!)

In any case, I can now watch NASCAR and other sporting events, with the volume as high as I like. If there are others in the room, they are able to listen to the speakers at any level that THEY like.

The headset "masks" the speaker output, so the sound level that I hear is whatever volume I've set.

After everyone else has retired, I don't have to turn on the amplifier to enjoy my "privacy", as the headset works independently. They are light, comfortable and have a wide enough range to work in most any room.

Let the rest enjoy the silence...'cause I'm rockin' on baby...
