"Horrible Vacuum!!!"
This vacuum cleaner overheats and shuts down after 5 minutes of use. It takes me hours to complete vacuuming my apartment ( I can't even imagine having to vacuum a whole house with this useless contraption ). I dread having to use it and have to plan times when I can vacuum a few feet (or until it overheats) and then go back to it later. The belt just broke and now I'm having a hard time finding replacement belts to buy...they don't sell them on their website. I will NEVER buy a Shark product again. I'm surprised these people are still in business!!!

"DON'T BUY THIS JUNK"
I've had the vacuum 6 months, three of which is worked and three of which I've been waiting for a replacement of the spinning brush. It's currently on backorder which means that a lot of people are having the same problem. The website is impossible to find and if you call them they are absolutely helpless! We finally broke down and bought another vacuum. Try Eureka, they're excellent.

"I found a belt at sears"
My belt broke also and i bought a sears brand replacement belt for a kenmore vac. It is belt number 5287 for upright vacs. You will have to pull a little to fit it on but it works just like new. You get two belts for $4 and some change. You can buy it from sears.com also.

"belt broke"
I bought this crappy vac two months ago and the belt broke last week. I can not find a replacement one and the website is trash and customer service is lost in this topic of helping customers. Stay away from this piece of junk.

"You Can Do Better..."
My husband bought this vacuum for me over a year ago. It worked perfectly for the first two months or so. Since then, I only use it once a month for fear that it will explode. There is a horrible low-pitched noise coming from it whenever we turn it on. Customer service suggested that we buy a new one. I would NOT recommend that you buy this thing.

What our customer's say!

"Shark Lightweight Bagless Upright Vac", Horrible Machine! Let me count the ways:
1.The motor noise is deafening
2.The hose system always falls away from its support holders so
before you know it there is loose hose everywhere not to
mention that the hand held part of the hose comes out of its
tube all during the vacuuming process
3.The filter canister is too small & messy to empty
4.The suction is not very good and clogs most of the time
5.The electric cord system is difficult to wind up and won't
stay secured to it's clip

"i dont know what everyone is talkin about. its a good vacuum", i looked up my vacuum cleaner because i've had it for a year and the filter is starting to smell, so i thought i would buy a new filter. i didnt know where to buy one so i thought they probably sell it on Amazon. its surprisingly more expensive on Amazon, than it is on Shark Website! anyways....i was surprised to see how many bad reviews it got. i just have to say i ABSOLUTELY LOVE MY VACUUM...i got it for a christmas gift and was disappointed because it was a vacuum hehe....BUT now that i have it i LOVE IT. i have never had any problems with it. it never overheats. the belt has never broken.....and on top of everything is CLEANS GREAT. it sucks everything up on my WHITE carpet and the carpet always looks clean and new when i use it. We have two vacuums in this house because my roomate had a vacuum too, and we ONLY use mine because it works soooo good. but the most surprising thing is that we have a HUUUGE weimareiner dog and a small dog and a long haired cat and the vacuum cleaner picks up all their hair with no problem and never gets clogged. so i think maybe the others just got a bad vacuum because mine works great. it is the Shark EP710 bagless. i would reccomend it over any hoover my mom has had in the past and its great for any college student or adult with a big or small house because it will not let you down.

"Shark sucks, but not like a vacuum is supposed to", PROs: well it is cheap, though you are definitely only getting what you paid for (i.e. cheap)

CONs: Very little suction, filter must be cleaned constantly (at least once for every level of my 3 story townhouse), once it over-heats, you have to wait 45 minutes before it will turn on again, emptying and cleaning the filter is complicated (and returns much of the dust to your house!?).

Okay, I admit it I did NOT do my homework before I bought this, and I have lived to regret it. Frankly it takes twice as long to finish a room, because I am going back and forth, back and forth trying to pick up the fuzzies and bits, which the thing is seemingly refusing to pick up.

I bought it because it was a bargain, but how much of a bargain is it now that I have had enough (after 3 weeks, three vacuumings of my house) and will be going to get another machine? To echo another reviewer, I feel embarressed that I bought this thing!

"This thing is junk", Don't buy this. It is constantly breaking. I am on a budget, but will have to get a new one, I think. Next time I'm researching the product better before I buy! I'm actually embarrased to have purchased this. Why is this thing still being sold?

"DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT", First of all, if I could have given it no stars I would have.
Second, it overheats and shuts down CONSTANTLY.
Third, if you have pets, it is always clogged.
Fourth, The customer service is non-existant.

I will never buy a Euro-pro product again. To echo another review, I don't know how they are still in business.

Read this reviews before You buy...

"Customer Service is horrible", Do not buy a Euro Pro product!!!! We bought ours a year ago and up until a week ago I was relatively happy with it. Then the belt broke on our suppossed "motorized spin brush". My husband took the belt to several stores looking for a replacement, but no one carries Euro-Pro replacements, you have to buy them online and this thing is the biggest belt you've ever seen and doesn't match other products. Good look finding the website though or a customer service number if you have misplaced your manual. I had to email the wonderful people at HSN and ask them if they had a number. They gave me the number and website. We picked our belt on the website and put in for overnight delivery. The package was 4 belts and 4 bulbs and they wanted to charge us $35.00 to ship it overnight in 4-6 weeks! 2 day shipping was an additional $20.00 for a $15 dollar, 2-3lb item! So we called. We got through easily enough but were then told that they would not lower shipping rates and wouldn't direct us to something comparable to our belt. Then my husband told the lady that this was rediculous and she hung up on him. If you can go 2 months without vaccuuming when this beast eventually breaks down and you have to order a spare part, this is the vaccuum for you. As for me, I have a 1 1/2 yr old and have to vaccuum every morning. I am going out to get a good old Hoover with replacement parts in most major stores!

"This was a bad choice for me", I loved this vacuum the first time I used it, it was quiet and powerful. But I quickly learned that if I did not take the whole vacuum apart after every use, it would clog and over heat, and turn itself off. I vacuum everyday and this vacuum was not up to the task. I tried to get the problem resolved through shark online, but hit a dead end there. I tossed it after three annoying months.

"A mistake", Yes, I Agree 100% with Erica Miller's review. We, however, own a cleaning service and had much the same responce from our clients when we picked up a canister of fur out of their carpet.
Much to our suprise was the customer support. We bought 2 Vacuums and both have had the belts go and the belts are on back order now for 6 weeks, and we have waited 2 hours on the phone to reach a live person and E-mailed with absolutely no results. I would strongly recommend that you make a purchase other than this one. Especially if you are much like myself and value a company more on the service that you receive and then the products. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!!!!

"Awesome!!!!!....but there is always a dark side!!!!!", I ordered this product from a mail order catalog when it was first released in May. I would have preferred to get it from Amazon since it is MY favorite online store but my old vacuum bit the dust and I couldn't wait any longer. When it finally arrived I was eager to try it out although I had just borrowed my neighbor's brand name vacuum the day before. Talk about impressive! There was still so much dirt left in my carpets. The dust cup looked like it was filled with sand...yes sand! We did my drapes, under the furniture cushions, the lamp shades, the mini blinds. I'm telling you this vacuum is awesome. My boys, ages 9 & 13, started ARGUING over who was going to have the chore of vacuuming the carpets for now on. Yeah, that REALLY impressed me! I read the manual thoroughly so that I would know how to change the filters, belt and headlight bulbs when needed. I was going to take care of this baby, so it could last forever, forever, forever.

Funny thing about forever, you never know when it is going to end and my forever with my brand new Shark Bagless Spectra Model EP710 ended three hours later the day it arrived in my life. My son was vacuuming his bedroom when he started screaming for me. When I reached him, the vacuum was blowing out smoke. I quickly turned it off and unplugged it. The whole place smelled like burning rubber the rest of the day. Later that day, I referred to the instructions again on how to open it up. I discovered that the belt had partially disintegrated. I decided to call Euro-Pro's customer service to get a new belt. I figured it would be less of a hassel to pack it back up to return it and cheaper since most companies don't pay for postage to return items.

Well there is yet another dark side...Where is the customer service??? I tried reaching Euro-Pro for TWO weeks...yes TWO weeks via phone and e-mail. The numbers provided were constantly busy during their business hours. I called all hours of the day and could NEVER get through. I was always greeted with an INSTANT busy signal. I left messages everyday for two weeks on the voicemail when I called before and after business hours. I sent e-mails everyday via their website. I even tried to get some local vacuum repair shops to fix it but they wouldn't even touch it because they said the motor was probably shot also.

I finally gave up and sent it back for a full refund. I was to afraid to get it exchanged and I'm very upset that until this day Euro-Pro never contacted me. I haven't purchased another vacuum yet. Even now I am still borrowing the neighbor's vacuum. I'm still mourning my Shark Bagless Spectra.
