"LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT" Best d@mn waffle iron ever! Instead of the measuring cup, I use a soup ladle-works much better for pouring the batter. "Worked great . . .the stopped!" Made great waffles for 1 year, then beeper wouldn't work and it stopped heating! We had a house full of hungy people . . on the fifth waffle .. nothing! We probably only used this waffle maker 8 times in the year we had it . .so it didn't malfunction due to overuse or abuse. Very dissappointed. "will not last long" thermal fuse will blow after 15 or so uses. replacement part 526-nte8242 available from mouser electronics $1.50 plus shipping. fuse is in fixed plate inside plastic tube. easy repair cut out old fuse clamp in new one with plyers. do not soider fuse comes with 2 new crush clamps "Mine died too!!" I got this for Christmas 2 yrs ago. I loved the waffles it produced. They were fabulous. That's until it died in August. We took it on vacation, plugged it in and it sparked and popped. Never worked again. Not sure if it was a defect in the electrical at the cabin or the maker itself. But after reading the reviews I'm leaning more towards the waffle maker itself. I used it less than once a month maybe a dozen times before it died. I noticed Sam's Club has them for less than $50 and they look more cheaply made. Hmm maybe they have a different manufacturer? Not going to buy this brand again. "Holly Cr@p!!!" This waffler is perfection. I don't know why Alton Brown didn't recommend this one. He had it on his show with like 8 others and said something bad about the other 6 and just passed over this one for another one which he sighted as his favorite. I have never in my life had a waffle as good as the ones that come from the included recipe book. The best one uses yeast to leaven the dough then you fold in whipped egg whites. This makes the lightest, fluffiest, crunchy outside moist warm inside ever, and it fills your home with the aroma only baker's yeast can produce. Felix Mendoza came to my house for a waffle party and ate like four g0d dammn waffles! Oh, put fresh whipped cream on top! If you buy any other waffler as a gift for a friend you are not a friend at all. I would punch you in the face if you gave me any other waffler. Then I would show you the door.

What our customer's say! "Great.... until it stopped working", Ordered this waffle maker on [....] for around $50 a few years ago. We used the waffle iron about once every other month for the last 4-5 years. Just recently the iron stopped working just as a lot of people have noted where the iron turns on but never warms up. Seeing how some people only got a few uses before their irons failed, seem lucky that we got several years of use out of it. Although this would seem that these units will end up failing at some point. Due to the unreliability of the product, we won't be rebuying this iron. "Very Good but broke within 30 days", Loved the waffles but on 3rd use stopped getting hot. We were very disappointed however, Amazon did accept the return. Thank you Amazon. "Waring will not back up this product", Yes, this was great until it stopped working. Took it into the local Waring repair shop and they still have it because Waring will not send them the part and the shop says they won't pay their bills anyway. So now I have to pick it up and send it back to Waring. It was under warranty, but if you can't get it fixed, what's the point? I loved this until it died, which is a very common problem. I tried to post this problem on QVC, and they denied my submission. And good luck trying to contact Waring directly. Hopefully if you already have this product you aren't one of the people with the burned out thermostat. "Great waffles... while it lasts", My wife and I received this as a wedding gift last year (we had registered for it). We soon were in the habit of making Belgian waffles every weekend. This product turned out very good Belgian waffles, and we would make an average of 3 waffles each weekend. When we had house guests, they too were treated to hot, fluffy Belgian waffles. Then the honeymoon ended (for the waffle maker, not our marriage). Just over 1 year later, the unit inexplicably died. It turned on (as evidenced by the light), and you could here an internal "click" as though something was engaging (the heating element?), but it just wouldn't heat up any more. Because we enjoyed it so much, we took it to an appliance repair shop and they pronounced it DOA. The heating element had "burned out", or so they told us. We're at a loss to explain this. We literally never moved this unit from its place on our counter. We never dropped it, got it wet, or otherwise caused it any trauma. Over the course of 1 year we had maybe used this product a grand total of 40 times, and yet the heating element "burned out" on an appliance that is *designed* to get hot?!? I find that truly inexcusable. So, if you don't mind spending about $2 per use for a Belgian waffle maker that will eventually die on you one morning out of the blue, then be my guest. Otherwise, you might try another brand that's more reliable than this one. As for us, we're going to give the Krups model a try next. "GE Waffle Baker", We bought a GE Waffle Baker for 19.95, and some Krusteaz Belgian Waffle mix, and made 6 delicious waffles this morning. I'm glad I didn't spend big bucks on waffle makers. The appliance makes a great product, and, depending on how crisp you like your waffle, you bake them for just 3,4, or 5 minutes. Don't waste your money on the super expensive waffle makers. This little baby is perfect. 
Read this reviews before You buy... "waffle magic", We love it.It lives on our counter and we have waffles daily.It might not be as sturdy as you might hope, but with care, I expect this iron to last & last! Makes perfect waffles everytime! "Stops working, waste of money", I brought the Waring Pro WMK300 in February 2008. I have only used it about 4 times. Attempting to use it a 5th time - we are in the middle of making waffles and after the 2nd one, it stopped working - heat completly failed. With so many problems consisting of the same thing - I would hope that the problem would be corrected or the unit taken off the market. Now, i'll have to do research and purchase another brand. "Great Belium Waffles", This waffle Iron is great. Does a good job, alerts when ready for use and when waffle is done. Also has a dial for setting the how dark you like your waffle. "works great", works great very easy to clean makes a waffle in jus a few minutes very pleased. "It WAS great, until it died competely. ", Bought this just over a year ago and didn't open and start using it until summertime. It was wonderful. We loved it. Then suddenly, when making our second waffle of the day last Saturday it just died. Lights off, no heat, etc. Just after we'd poured the batter in. What a mess!!! And of course, the warranty expired a bit ago. I love these products when they work, but they do consistently seem to suffer the affects of age. (and this was a young one!) |
