Others say...
"Great way to save energy and have hot water on demand" This little pot heats up 3 liters of water in a flash and holds temperature with little power consumption compared to repeatedly heating a teapot on the stove. You can select the hold temperature, reboil or use 7 hour delay heating... Gets rid of chlorine and degases the water, hence water tastes better. The unit is teflon coated and so it doesn't rust like some cheaper models. To descale (get rid of calcium build-up) you can use 1/8 cup of vingear in the water, close top, boil and pump to dispense the acidified water; rinse and use all neat and clean. High quality kitchen device - Small foot pad - Looks great on counter top! "Perfect for tea lovers" I used the hot pot while visiting my relatives in Japan, knowing how well theY pay attention to energy saving products, I decided to purchase one myself. I find the product to be the perfect fit for tea drinkers and coffee press users. Not bad for the occasional Ramen noodles in a cup! "Excellent product" I didn't even really need one of these damn things but bought it anyway and love it. It's solidly built, well engineered, and in general, just the sort of well-thought-out product that the Japanese are famous for. It ain't cheap, but IMHO, if it lasts five years, I would consider it a very reasonable price/value tradeoff. The only minor complaint is that the time to boil the full load (3 liters) from room temperature is a little excessive -- 27 minutes. I think they should have Tim Allened it ("More Power") to speed up the "boil" mode. Have fun with it. Keep the cat away from the steam vent. :) "Convenience and energy efficiency" I've had a Zojirushi water heater for 3 years now and I love it. While it seemed expensive when I bought it, I find it is well worth the price. Near boiling water is always ready to make tea, and I've saved countless minutes of what used to be a process of filling the kettle, turning on the heat, waiting, coming back, and then making tea. Instant oatmeal, soup and other products of course are similarly made faster, but also many "real cooking" tasks. Adding boiling water to a pot of fresh green beans for instance gets you cooking faster, and on a number of occasions I've emptied the entire water heater into a pot to make pasta without waiting. I've also found other uses. If I only have one or two dishes to wash, I don't want to waste tap water waiting for it to warm up, so I dispense a little hot water into the dish I want to wash, then rinse with cold water, saving both water and energy. "Great gadget for the impatient tea/coffee drinker" For quickly getting a cup of black tea or French-Press coffee (195°), green tea (175°) and Yerba Mate, Rooibos or fruit/herbal tea (208°), this machine can't be beat, especially as it exists for 3, 4, and 5 liters of water. (Being single, I have the smallest version, but in a Tea Shop that I frequent they use the 5 liter with good effect). It is, however, only for cups, or french presses that fit underneath the spout. It keeps the water at three temperature levels depending on what you set, and has a Reboil-button, when you add water without emptying the pot first, it reboils automatically. Its normal position is 195°F which lessens the danger of bad burns (if you use it as directed that danger is nonexistent, but the preset temperature level - that you can change to 208° or 175° - is an additional safety device). If you want to brew a whole pot of tea or coffee, however, you need a traditional water heater, as you cannot pour water out of this, only use the spout. So five stars for a nifty device for grabbing cups of tea or coffee in a hurry and through the whole day (and night).

What our customer's say! "Typical Zojirushi quality", A well-made, well-functioning device. It heats water quickly, and keeps it as hot as you want it. Dispenses easily. Simple! "fast and fun", Faster then my gas range top for the same volume of water plus the ability to hold at various temps all-day-long and to add more water as needed is great. Wonderful for filling my French Press or for making cups of tea. Loved my Zojirushi rice maker so much I had to give this product a try and I haven't regretted it. "Another great Zojirushi Product. Well worth every dollar spent", Zojirushi CD-LCC30 Micom 3.0-Liter Electric Dispensing Pot I have several Zojirushi Water Pots. But this one is my favorite. I received it as a Gift from my Aunt who loves Zojirushi Products. Between her house and ours we buy alot of Zojirushi Items and none of them have ever disappointed us... They are of very high Quality and as far as anything else: they last along long time... Buy this Water Pot and you wont be disappointed... Ours stays on during the day and its great because the Water is always hot and ready for a Cup of Tea. "Interior coating coming off", After two years' of continuous use, interior coating is coming off. A few rusty spots have developed in the past 6 months. The company's website does not provide a replace container. I liked the Zojirushi brand but this one seems a disappointment. "Indispensible", This type of hot water dispenser is standard for most traditional Asian households, and unless you never drink hot beverages, I wonder how other families do without it. The product does what it advertises, and is way more convenient than a kettle. I still use the kettle if I need a large quantity of hot water for other purposes. For individual cups of tea, coffee, hot chocolate, etc. and for cooking, this dispenser makes it much easier. This and a rice cooker make an Asian kitchen complete. ![]()
Read this reviews before You buy... "Excellent product", This is an excellent machine which boils water and keeps it at a high temperature. However, like anything else, once you pour water into a cup, it cools in five minutes. I also bought small a Bunn canister hot plate, not a mug warmer, which keeps the coffee or tea at a really hot temperature. In fact, one could get by with a small microwave, in the office, then the Bunn hot plate. The Zojibushi is good if multiple people are needing a quick hot water supply. "Great Hot Pot", I bought this hot pot on someone's strong recommendation to replace a hot water dispenser on the sink in my kitchen. I use it many times a day for tea, boiled water for cooking, oatmeal, etc. It has three temperature choices and a 7 hour sleep option- all of which I use. When I bought it I was a bit tentative as to whether I would use it all that much, and the pot very quickly became indispensible in my kitchen. It is easy to operate, the instructions are well written, and I highly recommend it. "Makes hot water", I use this water heater, every day. I am happy with the product. I wish it had a whistle to let me know that the water is done boiling. The size is the right amount for the amount of tea my husband and I drink. "My 3rd Zojirushi product", I have this one at home and a smaller Panasonic unit at work. Zojirushi unit cost me twice as much but for me it's worth it. I use hot water at work for green tea and occasional Ramen lunch. Panasonic makes a lot more noise while it's boiling and when it dispenses water. But for the price, it's doing the job. At home, I use hot water from Zojirushi for tea, cooking and more. It's convenient to have hot water whenever I need it. When I buy Zojirushi products, I know I am paying more for the quality. I would buy them from Amazon because I can trust the seller. "Perfect for White Tea Drinkers", I saw this in a tea shop and knew I had to have it. (Of course, I found it cheaper on Amazon!) The large capacity is wonderful, but best of all is the ability to keep the water at 175 degrees all day long. If you drink white tea, this is a must-have appliance. My kettle is now a thing of the past. I drank tea regularly before, but now it is SO convenient. No more waiting for the water to boil, then cooling it down with ice to lower the temperature. If you own/purchase this appliance, be sure to experiment with white teas. They brew in 60 seconds, and with the lower temperature, you never burn your mouth on the first sip! ![]() |
