"Need more product info" Hi Moderator, I was trying to send email to customer service directly but gave up. Will you please suggest to Amazon to add a "contact customer service" button for each product page so customer can ask product specific question. My question about this product: 1. Please check if this product made in Japan or made in China 2. If I order today using super saver shipping, is it possible that I may get it in a week? I will have a week long vacation in Dec. I am deciding if I should buy it now or later. Thanks. "Great Electric Airpot with reasonable price!!!" It is a friendly user device. It works great with reasonable price. "Great Hot Water Pot" I purchased this for my wife, who has allergy and asthma problems, and needs frequent access to hot drinks. The Pot works very well. There almost no noticeable heat loss from the AirPot. And there is very little loss of water, so it is a very efficient system. "Fabulous little hot water pot!" We love this pot, and keep hot water available 24 hours--nice to grab that lunchtime soup or late-night cup of camomile tea. It is easy to use (pour in water & plug in) and pour (push down on circle which depresses on top of lid). Great value! This was a surprise appliance in the best possible way--never expeccted to like it so much or use it so constantly on the kitchen counter--good looking too! Jill "air pump wears out" We own one for over 6 years now. Love it. Only problem is that because it's mechanical (air pump), that eventually wears out. I think the seal in the pump need replacing. It used to to fill a cup with just one pump, but now takes 10 or more pumps. Other than that, I love it. I am looking at purchasing a new one, the kind that uses electric pump.

What our customer's say! "30 minutes to boil water!!!!!!!!!", I researched extensively and although those around me thought I was crazy to spend $100.00 to boil water, I wanted the best for my new French Press. Imagine my dismay, when I opened my Electric Air Pot today, and read that it takes 30 minutes to boil water!!!!!!! Why not 60 minutes or 2 hours? This "inexpensive" model (almost $100.00) doesn't even have a timer so I can't set it to be ready when I wake. I hate returning things but I can't keep this on principal alone. I'm sure this is a great product once you get the water up to temperature, although the top is very loose and wobbly at the hinges which concerned me but is it really too much to ask that they warn you in the specs that this takes forever to heat up water? Gonna go with a cheap plastic electric teapot and take my chances with water that tastes like plastic and leaches toxic chemicals. It's better than waiting a half hour to prepare my coffee in the morning. Update: Like I said, I'm not one to return things, so I spent 20 bucks for a timer and I'm keeping it. As expected, it's basically a pretty decent device. I do wish there wasn't so much water left over at the bottom as pouring it out is a hassle due too its size and I'm not about to remove the top to do it each time, so I'll be careful. Only gets 3 stars for not being up front about how long it takes to boil and lack of proper instructions about whether or not this model can be filled partially instead of all 3 liters. When contacted, the company says it must be filled to the max line as there's no sensor in this model to distinguish quantity but the boil mode leads me to believe it's not really necessary. If I have the guts to try it half full I'll let you know the results. "I had some concerns and now I love this thing", I bought the electric air pot to address a number of issues that needed attention: I wanted to minimize the use of the microwave as much as possible, and I wanted to replace a diet soda pop habit with more healthful drinks. I had an electric kettle, but it was plastic and could not keep water warm throughout the day. I used to have a regular kettle, but I have lupus with some cognitive issues, and that kind of forgetfulness just doesn't mix too well with stove top cooking. I trashed two regular kettles before I got that one through my head. After getting this product, I am wondering what I ever did without it. I no longer worry about carcinogen exposure from heating water in plastic. The air pot has a nonstick interior, but all of the research I looked at indicated that if there is any risk from unscratched nonstick surfaces, it happens only at temperatures over 350 degrees. Water boils at 212 degrees. Additionally, the interior of the air pot is well-constructed, and there doesn't seem to be any way I could possibly scratch it unless I used a fork or steel wool on it. It keeps the water a good temperature for most teas, for soups, for getting a head start on pasta or rice, and for making coffee with a french press. The water tastes much better than it tasted after boiling in my plastic kettle. I have added an appliance timer to turn on the airpot before I wake up in the morning so that I do not have to wait for my first caffeine of the day. Zojirushi makes more expensive models that take care of the timer aspect, but I didn't want to spend the extra money. What I did spend was not too much more than I would have for a non-plastic electric kettle (which, if you look at the reviews, might very well turn out to have plastic parts that have contact with the heated water) that was safer than a regular electric kettle, that was more convenient than a regular electric kettle, and that is already saving me money. I don't drink diet soda anymore, and I don't waste old, cold coffee or tea. I can make what I need as I need it, because the hot water is always readily available. "Fantastic device/invention", I ordered this product for work when one of our employees informed me that in the Asian culture (he is from Taiwan), tea pots such as this one are commonplace. Before we bought this pot, our employees used to heat water using a hotpot, which did not hold much water. Now, they fill the pot with 3 liters of water, and anytime they want a cup of tea, they simply press the top and dispense the water. The liquid stays hot all day. I find this device an incredible invention (although I now know people have been using it for years). For anyone who drinks tea (or needs hot water for soups, rice, etc) and does not feel like boiling water each time, this is a fantastic device. "Great product, highly recommended", I highly recommend this water pot. I had mine over 12 years and it is still going strong. One pump will give me a full cup of water. I only thing I have to replace is the rubber sealing ring around the inner lid (about $15 including s/h). Other than that, this product out performed my expectations in every way. I highly recommend it. "Excellent pot!", We are very happy with our new pot. It is easy to use and holds plenty of water for at least a whole day's use for a family of five. In addition, it is attractive to look at! ![]()
Read this reviews before You buy... "So useful!", I bought this as a college student tired of having to steal everyone else's hot water. Works great - just fill it, plug it in and forget it! It's virtually silent, and it's great for tea when you're writing essays all night long. ![]() |
