"Sleek and shiny, but not leak-proof" The thermos is stylish and definitely keeps my coffee hot for a four or five hours. My problem? The top! I have so many problems getting the primary top to screw into the thermos properly. Invariably, it goes in crookedly and allows coffee to spill. I try and try...what's the trick?!?! Eventually, I give up and screw on the cup. Liquid won't leak out with both tops on, but when I arrive at work and take off the cup, coffee dribbles down the side from the improperly tightened lid. Definitely disappointed. "I got a defective one " I wish I got the perfect one! I ordered it for my husband as his birthday gift. It arrived in time. Unfortunately, the top didn't close tight. So I had to return it. It was truly disappointing! "FYI, you can buy this for cheaper...." I just bought a 17 ounce by Thermos for $9.97 at Walmart. It looks exacly like this one except, it doesn't say Nissan, and it doesn't come in a box. There is an annoying Thermos Breifcase sticker stuck on it that is a pain to get off. It's stainless inside and out, and it's really cute. I could not believe that I found it at Walmart because I have purchased 2 other larger Thermos from Amazon. "Nice slim Thermos" Really like the thermos. It's slim, esp. good for smaller hands. Looks nice, too. "Traveler's Friend" I purchased this thermos to take on the airplane with me as I do a lot of International travel. Just pack the themos empty in your briefcase --clear security and fill at your favorite coffee emporium. It works great and your favorite brew is still hot (or cold) after a full day of travel.

What our customer's say! "17 oz. Thermocafe not as good?", Like reviewer mommyofchristopher, I too bought the 17 oz. "Thermocafe" Thermos at Walmart. I have the Thermos/Nissan 34 oz. bottle, and it keeps things hot for the long periods other reviewers have found. The 17 oz. Thermocafe branded model is good for only 3 to 4 hours hot, then it gets noticeably cooler. A case of you get what you pay for? "Lives up to the Thermos reputation", I have broken the last two that I've owned, as their "pour tops" were designed with moving / removable parts. The pour top on this thermos is solid; hooray, no more breakage!! My coffee stays hot and it's easy to clean after using. I am thrilled with this thermos! "Excellent carry-around thermos.", This small thermos has turned out to be very handy. It is very sturdy and despite the problems that others have had with the screw top, I have had no problems. I use the thermos to carry de-carbonated soft drinks around with me to places such as the gym or while working on garden projects away from the home. I have had ice in the thermos last about 24 hours. The screw top seal is very good and has never leaked. It is said in the information on this product to not put carbonated drinks in it. However, I will open a can of a carbonated soft drink earlier in the day and pour it in a glass to allow most of the carbonation to leave it, before pouring it in the thermos. Sometimes I will hear gas escape from the thermos when unscrewing the top, but never had had the screw top pop off as warned. It is very much like my very sturdy Stanley all-steal thermos only smaller and much more easily carried around during the day. "I wish I knew about this product several years ago.", I absolutely love this product.It looks good and keeps my coffe tasty for many hours.....about 6 hrs.Is the larger model better? "Great for taking coffee to work", lightweight for tossing into my bag and carrying coffee through a metro trip to the office. coffee is still hot when i get to the office. just be sure to close tightly to prevent leaks! 
Read this reviews before You buy... "Very good overall", The bottle is a great alternative to plastic bottles, and has kept both cold and hot liquids at the same temperature for several hours. The only thing to watch out for is that using the bottle without the black plastic stopper spout (i.e. using only the bottle itself and the metal lid) will leak if turned sideways or upside down. Other than that, an excellent product. "Very good product. ", Very good product. But Walgreens has a similiar model for much cheaper. I just realized that I paid 7 dollars more just for a box. This one from Amazon is almost the same as that from Walgreens. Both are by Thermos. "Recommended for Arctic Explorers", I took this little thermos with me on a two month trip to the Arctic where days consisted of sitting on the cold rock on a windy point for 7 hours a day. This little thermos kept my tea hot all day, every day. Amazing! "I love this thing", This thermos is awesome...yesterday i put orange juice in it @ 11am and it was still cold by 6pm, I didn't even fill it with cold water prior to pouring the OJ. I must admit the stopper is a little funky, i must check it twice to make sure that it is not crooked. otherwise she is beautiful and does a great job. If i had 3 hands i would give it 3 thumbs up. "Nissan Compact Travel Bottle 16-oz.", Gave this as a gift for Christmas. My mother-in-law can't stop raving about it. It does exactly what it's supposed to ... and looks pretty nifty too! |
