Others say...
"Works great" I was able to grab one when they were in stock again, luckily, because I see they are out of stock again, the black chrome colored ones. Very nice, toasts nicely, look sharp. "Great Simple Design--Toasts Evenly--Top of Line Toast Machine" After reading everyones reviews I have to say that this toaster has been nothing but a dream. Honestly I don't toast daily , but when I do the bread is very evenly toasted, the browning dial seems to be very accurate. I would say a 3 or a 4 is a perfect pitch. I have not stuck a bagel or god forbid a pop tart in this thing, but I am happy with what I got. When I was shopping around for a toaster I decided on this one for 1. Aesthetics, which I don't think there is a better more simple looking toaster around. This thing doesn't take up that much room on the counter and though it does get dirty easily, when you polish it, boy does it look regal. Besides, one should always polish their cherished appliances. Number 2. The quality name Cuisnart. Some people might argue that fact but I have been nothing but happy. You won't find a better looking, easy functioning toaster. Its worth the money. As mentioned it toasts fine and dandy. This thing has some power. Don't turn it up too high! "Had this item for two years and still works great." I got this item off my wedding registry two years ago and it works and looks great. It is right by my Grind and Brew coffee maker and the pair look really nice together. What can I say...it makes toast. So, in my opinion it works great! I agree that it might be a little pricey, so try to find it on special. "Brave little toaster" This toaster caught my eye because of the Cuisinart name, and because it looks like a basic toaster, with just the teeniest bit of retro-ness. I chose it over the white plastic version of this same toaster because the brushed metal goes with my appliances and because the buttons and knob look a little sturdier. The plastic toaster's buttons looked flimsy. We've had this toaster for one week. We used it almost daily. It toasts both slices of bread evenly. It does exactly what I want it to do: toast bread. It looks good sitting on the counter, a nice bonus. Minus one star because the body is not as sturdy as it could be. Nothing has happened to it so far, it's still in out-of-the-box condition, but I imagine it might easily get banged up and scratched. Planned obsolescence, and all that. But like I said, it does a good job toasting bread. "cuisinart 2 slice toaster" great product, would recommend it to anyone. first time I purchased a cuisinart -- I would buy another Cuisinart product when the time comes I need to replace. thanks

What our customer's say! "Great toaster", I read some mixed reviews of the Cuisinart CPT-160 so I had some apprehension about buying it. I'm been quite pleased with it's performance. Mine toasts regular bread well at the 3 setting and does a good job with thicker bagels. The stainless steel look compliments my other kitchen appliances. A good buy. "Cuisinart CPT160 Metal 2 Slice Toaster", Exactly as promised and we are delighted with the new toaster's performance. Toasts evenly and settings are on the mark. Highly recommended appliance. "Terrible Toaster for the money", I purchased this toaster (not on amazon) after I returned another brand name toaster that quit working after a few weeks of use. This one stinks also, it is still working if you can call it that, first of all toasts one side of the bread much more that the other (and no it is not set on the bagel setting). Totally inconsistant brownage with the numbered dial, for example if you set it on 3 sometimes it doesn't even get it brown and other times set on three it burns one side. Too much time has past to return it but i am so upset that i spent so much on this piece of junk. In this day and age it would seem like some company could make a decent toaster for a decent price. The only good thing about is that it looks good in my kitchen!!! "Shoddy product, terrible company", My toaster lasted about three years before it started to burn everything which was long enough to forget who spent so much money for it (Crate and Barrel) for our wedding. When you do not have a receipt, the company counts the warranty (which is for three years) start date from the date of manufacture. When I gave them my serial number, they told me my toaster was five years old. Buy the cheapest toaster you can find. It will probably last 20 years. Buy this $60 one and expect it to last three years. "Extremely inconsistent toaster", I received this toaster as a gift as it matches my kitchen. It looks GREAT in there. But as we know, looks aren't everything. For some reason, anytime I make toast, it comes out completely different, even though I never change the dial. The first batch is usually pretty good, with nice even toasting. But any other batches are a gamble. Just this morning, I made the perfect toast, then put in a couple more slices. These came out completely white, although toasted to the touch. I put them in again at the same setting, thinking "If they're white now, they'll be perfectly toasted the second time at this setting." Wrong - burned black. Maybe that was my own fault. Once, I hosted a breakfast at my house and every set of toast I made got less and less toasted. I tried barely moving the dial (It's usually at 1), but it just burned it. I don't understand why it's doing this, but it's very frustrating. If you want a toaster that looks fabulous and expensive, with a couple of fancy buttons, this is it! If you want a toaster that makes consistently browned toast, I'd look elsewhere. My college cheap $8 toaster made better toast than this. ![]()
Read this reviews before You buy... "Excellent!", It's an excellent product. This toaster is beautiful and matches all your stainless steel appliances. It is not too big and is good for a smaller kitchen. I had a cheaper toaster before. This one is worth the money, since the bread comes out of it much tastier. I am not sure how, but it toasts the bread better. It also has a "reheat" button, which means you don't have to through away left overs. You just reheat them later and they will be as good and fresh as should be. I love this thing. "Bad Choice", I bought this toaster a little more than a year ago and today it goes to the trash having been replaced by a Braun. It made terrible toast slowly and unevenly. The slots are too small for many slices of bread (I should have figured that out before buying). But it's the quality of the toast that gives it a thumbs down. Shame on Cuisinart for turning out such a lousy product. "Cuisinart CPT - 160 Toaster", This item cost 3 times the toaster it replaced and has functioned much more poorly. The faces of the bread facing the inner heating elements cook much more rapidly the those facing out (which are barely heated, let alone toasted). "This Toaster Is Crumby", By crumby I mean it leaves tons of crumbs everytime I use it. It toasts just fine but in this day in age where we can take pictures with our phones then email them from the same device, can't someone engineer a crumbless toaster? "No more burnt toast", I kept burning the toast in my old toaster, so on a recent vacation some relatives had one like this except it was a 4- slice one. We liked it and thought it was pretty so we ordered a 2- slice one for ourselves. We've been very satisfied with it. I like that it easily does bagels and frozen waffles. And it really does look nice and modern! ![]() |
