"My egg exploded"
So far not so good.. I tried getting medium hard eggs this morning and the result was one exploded egg, which was so hard i could use it to fix plumbing, and the other one was kinda okay, but too hard for my liking. I'm going to give this little tool a chance and adjust the water next time, but I did follow the instructions, pierced the egg, and was not impressed by the result so far.

"Leaks!"
At first I enjoyed the product for its ability to produce hard boiled eggs. After a year it started leaking onto the counter. When I turned it on, all the water would leak out through the on-off switch.

"GREAT Egg Cooker!"
This egg cooker is so wonderful, for those who have crazy busy lifestyles like I do. I can put the eggs in with the right amount of water, and it tells me when it is all done. I love this new toy! It is so easy and takes up such a small space on the counter.

"Poor Quality"
I purchased this because of the Cuisinart name. Big mistake.

The very first time I used it the egg tray warped and is now cup shaped.
It did a good job of cooking the eggs but now they are difficult to balance on the tray.

"Egg Cooker"
This is a GREAT product! Does eggs perfect, and easy to use and egg shells come off the eggs so easy................GREAT product......If you are thinking of buying this but not sure, buy it! You want be sorry.

What our customer's say!

"Perfect Eggs Every Time", This egg cooker is my favorite kitchen helper! Eggs turn out perfect every time and the shells are easily peeled away. I've given several of these as gifts and received tons of thanks.

"Don't buy", This cooker started leaking water all over my counter a few months after I bought it. I had to resort to putting it on a cookie sheet when I used it. I eventually got tired of that and threw it away. I would not ever buy this egg cooker again!

"Designer's Dream : Cook's Nightmare", The snazzy egg shape design looks great on the shelf in the store, but don't be fooled. This egg cooker is to look at, not to use. Once the plastic egg holder warps (after using it a couple of times), it no longer seals against the base, and you will end up with a pool of water each time you make eggs. The little measuring cup with the egg pricker on the bottom was invented by Snow White's evil grandmother -- expect to sometimes prick your finger when rinsing. Finally, the warning beep that tells you the eggs are done has to be turned off manually. Find something better, that is, unless you want an nifty egg-shaped, stainless ornament.

"Cuisinart Egg Cooker", I recently purchased this egg cooker and I must say I think it is great. I have had two other brands in the past and this one is the best so far. I have made both soft and hard cooked and was very happy with both. I used the reviews here to help with my selection and it didn't disappoint. I also wanted to thank the person who mentioned using white vinagar to clean it, I had never heard about this and it works great too.

"Great cooker", Looked all over for an egg cooker that would remind me when the eggs were done...I hate using a pan and boiling the things. This is quick simple and fast. Since getting this never boiled out the water or undercooked an egg. It tends to drip water out the sides if you put too much water in it, but overall I really do Love it.

Read this reviews before You buy...

"worthless junk", As a busy person I don't usually come back to review a product but I have to make an exception in this case. Since my kitchen is torn out for renovation, I am living in the basement. I bought this because I want to cook eggs. Today I went through 4 eggs trying to get a good one.

1st egg: Tried to make "poached medium". Result: hard enough to use as a softball.
2nd egg: Tried for "poached soft". Result: cooked hard on top and completely raw on bottom, since it uses steam to cook the eggs. I have to hand it Cuisinart; they have invented a whole new way to screw up an egg.
3rd egg: Gave up on poached, went for "boiled soft". Followed directions to pierce end of egg with enclosed piercer. Piercer too dull, resulted in crushing raw egg.
4th egg: Tried again for "boiled soft", using safety pin to pierce egg. Result: HARD HARD HARD boiled egg.

Conclusion: It can make HARD boiled eggs, but probably not as well as a hot pot that just boils water.

Future plans: Number one, throw it out. Number two, I will never buy another Cuisinart product unless I read a LOT of rave reviews about it. I don't know how this one ever made it out of their design workshops and onto the retail shelves. If I could give it a score of zero, i would.

"So easy", I did not buy this item from Amazon b/c I had a coupon for a local store. But this little machine is awesome. I used it the first day I had it. It cooked my hardboiled eggs pefectly. I used brand new eggs that were Egglands best brand (sometimes harder to peel...maybe due to the lower fat content). All of my eggs peeled very easily even when not completely cool. I have not yet tried the poaching feature, but I intend to soon. I also found this very easy to clean, everything but the base goes in the dishwasher and for the base you just wipe a little vinegar on it.

"i purchased 2", I purchased 2 cookers because i thought I was getting a great deal. Within 30 days the heating unit in one has broken.

"Work saver, perfect eggs.", We received this as a gift and have a lot of fun with it. It could be made of higher quality materials, but otherwise it's makes perfect soft, medium and hard cooked eggs in a about 7-8 minutes and clean up is a snap.

"Junk", Piece of junk, doesnt do anything right except hard boiled eggs, how hard is that to mess up??? Threw it away and found my previous cooker brand new on Ebay, a toastmaster, which is heaven for eggs! If no stars was an option I would give it that!
