"Good product"
I love it, it is quiet and the right size for me. I spent $70 on the HZ-515 and don't know if I would want to spend much more. I use about $5 dollars a day in electric powering 2 of these guys along with everything else in my apartment (cost per kilowatt hour is $0.165). Once they get a room up to temp it keeps it warm and toasty. I have one heating 250 sq ft room and I leave to doors open, so I heat about 600 sq ft with both HZ-515's. The average temp is about 45F I think if it gets much colder the HZ-515's will not be able to heat the area well and I will have to get an added heat source.

"Burned but not warm"
Not worth a lot of words. This heater just does not generate a lot of heat. The only time the room this heater is in gets warm is when spring comes.Expensive but useless.

"Quiet But a Bit Slow "

Pros:
- No carbon monoxide emission (compared to heaters than use kerosene and profane fuel)
- Very quiet. Even oil-filled heaters produces noises when it heats up (like somebody is frying inside).
- Has a screen to prevent burns when you touch the surface
- Adjustable thermostat

Cons:
- Very slow to heat the room
- Unless the air circulates in the room, the heat tend to concentrate on the side of the room where the heater is placed.
- Huge footprint

"Great source of supplement heat!"
I love the heaters! They are quiet, lightweight and I seldom have them on the high setting. Nothing could make me happier, except to receive my next electric bill and find they have not raised the cost exhorbitantly!

"Worked good for the 2 months I used it last year, now it don't work."
I bought this in January and it worked good for the two months we used it. I plugged it in this year and it worked three weeks then quit working.

I thought that it was a little cumbersome when I got it, but the price was right and so was the consumer reports review. I swore by it all year long after the performance during the cold months. I just wish it would last longer than three months of use.

It wasn't like it was beat while in storage. I kept the original box and put it back in it when we werent using it. I got it back out this winter and it worked for three weeks, now it wont work.

now is the time of year that they mark these things up, so don't wast your money on buying a heater that doesn't last.

What our customer's say!

"OVERRATED ! DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE", This is a copy of the original HZ515 made ( 2 ) years ago by another manufacture. This is a poor copy of the original; The heater cord on the newest version is ribbon thin compared to the originals 14 Gauge cord which was heavy duty thick and round. There is only one seting for power on this newest version, the original had two setting one for 700 watts and another for 1500 watts. The new version requires that you crank it all the way to the right before you notice any real heat. I could go on and on about this heater. Once again corporate America has screwed the consumer with a bad made in China copy of an original heater.

"would buy a second", Easy and effective to use. Bought it because consumer reports gave it a high rating. It does a great job in a smaller room; seems safe. Nice heater

"The heater that can.", This heater measures up to its name. Attactive-quiet-easy to use and economical. Best used with a small fan to improve air circulation.

"Heater", I've been using this in an unheated sunroom. It works well and keeps the room warm. It does not have a setting dial so its 'hit & miss' by turning the dial. That is annoying because you need to keep checking the room temps and turning the dial up or down. Also, there are two lights which should go on and off when the heater turns on. They do not work. I didn't want to go through the trouble of returning it because of the lights.

Otherwise, it keeps the room warm, and is slim and attractive.

"Quiet warmth", We bought this heater to take the chill off the den for a couple of hours when we watch TV on cold nights. Even at a low setting it spreads warmth throughout the room. We like the fact that there is no noise other than the occasional click when the heater cycles on. While we had a good spot for the appliance I can imagine that its size might be a problem in a very small room. However for our 13' x 11' space we found a great spot. I think in this coming Northeast winter, when our thermostats are set extra low to save oil, our heater will be a real boon.

Read this reviews before You buy...

"Good while it lasts", These work great and heat a one bedroom apartment quite well. We had ours near a wall with no worries. It was quiet and after the first couple hours it would keep the place very warm. Then after a year it would stop working. All three of them I've seen used died after a year. The thermostat part would still work but the heater wouldn't engage. They're sealed in a way conventional tools won't open so we couldn't fix it. So if you don't mind getting a new one every year I would highly recommend this one.

"Very Good but Very Bad at the Same Time", Very efficient heater and works amazingly well, but absolutely NOT for families with kids. I have three kids. I purchased two of these after reading Consumer Reports' great reviews. I wound up selling them to my senior citizen parents who have no kids at home. The grill gets dangerously hot. If a child fell into it or even touched it, they'd be in the hospital. So if you have no kids, by all means, buy these. They heat so good, you don't need to use your house furnace. But if you have kids, sorry, not for you.

"Good space heater", The have used this in a medium size bedroom and does a good job. It's not a fast heater. Quiet.

"Electric Baseboard Heater", I already own the same model Honeywell baseboard heater and have been very pleased with it and wanted two more to augment my oil burner this next winter. The operation is quiet, it can be thermostatically set, and it is easily portable. I expect to be satisfied with this purchase.

"heats well just be careful", We bought 2 of these for our basement the heat comes out well, it feels like real heat not like a lot of those heaters that seem to just blow hot air. Only problem I see with this one is it might be a bit dangerous if a kid or someone accidently left clothes on top of it, but with almost any heater there are risks. Also I rather have a digital temperature on it but there is still a temp dial on it where it turns off when it reaches certain degrees. I say for the money this is a very realiable heater that heats even better than that overpriced Amish/China heater we bought in an newspaper ad. (I still like to support Amish but umm that product is not the best heater)
