"Very Good Product"
I bought this and love it. I have used it on carrots and have had no trouble with it at all. The slivers are very uniform, small, and it is very easy to use. My only negative is that sometimes I have to pick up the piece and seperate the Julienne pieces by hand after I make the cut.

"Broke the first time I used it!"
I bought the Good Grips julienne peeler because it was a few dollars cheaper than Kuhn Rikon's. I tried it on potatoes, cheese, and cucumbers. By the time I was done, it had twisted some of its teeth. Also, it's really easy to nick your skin with this. I'm wondering if the Kuhn Rikon julienne peeler would be better -- if there's some added quality that comes with the higher price.

What our customer's say!

"Not very durable", I had used two of this tool. I found out after about 20 carrots, the teeth on the tools starts to become "soft", it is still sharp, but they can't hold up the up-straight position any longer.

"Saves me time", As a Chinese chef, I often julienne carrots for stir fry. This tool makes it so easy - in less than 15 seconds, i can julienne a large carrot.

Here's how you use:
Place peeled carrot flat on cutting board. Use a fork to stab one end of the carrot, hold to anchor carrot down. Now use the Oxo tool to cut long strips.

"Use with care", Very handy for creating even strips, but have to press a little hard some times to cut into firmer vegetables, such as carrot. Always leaves behind a final strip or chunk that cannot cut through safely. Blades are sharp, so need to take care not to julienne your finger (like I did).

"I haven't managed to make it work.", I just seem to be scraping it. I'm not getting any strips at all.

"So far so good", I love to julienne a lot of my vegetables but it can be a pain. This makes it a LOT easier and my fingers don't hurt after I'm done (when I used the knife). It's a nifty little tool and it's affordable.
