"Careful with your Sizing..." So happy to find this...now I can use my tea press again..excellent quality...but be mindful when you order...Carefully measure your press! "Excellent OEM Replacement" I broke mine and this was an excellent replacement. The fit was snug and just right. "glass replacements" These are so handy.....we break alot of them because we use them in our restaurant. They are pretty sturdy for home use...... "Perfect" Nothing else makes a couple of cups of coffee as perfectly as this mini press. Actually, it's perfect for my single large mug. I have one for coffee and one reserved for tea. Perfect in both places. Regrettably, as careful as I am, the beaker is glass and will break. Fortunately, replacements are readily available, and far less costly than what I used to pay for a replacement carafe on my old coffee maker. "It works" It's a little bigger in diameter than the original and a very tight fit for the holder. But it does seem to be a thicker glass than the original and will hopefully hold up better.

What our customer's say! "Bodum 12-Ounce Coffee Press Replacement Beaker, Glass", I am fussy about my coffee and choose to prepare it in a french press every morning. In-spite of careful daily handling, accidents still happen and replacement beakers were needed for both of my Bodum french presses. None were available in the stores in my area, so I placed an order with Amazon and four days later, I was enjoying my coffee again. This beaker is identical to the original in my Bodum french press. Thank you for saving my day! "Excellent Company", Yes, the beaker breaks if you slam it into other dishes while loading the dishwasher (ok, so I'm a klutz). However, it's still worth the $10. We used ours 3 times a day, 7 days a week, and it lasted close to a year. We have other size Bodum French presses, plus some of their pots and pans (with the cool see thru lids) - love this company, their style and their commitment to produce excellence. "Good basic glass replacement", So happy to be able to replace my original broken beaker. I wish there was an unbreakable replacement, as this is the second time that I have broken one. Still, can't live without my Bodums! "Glass Breaks Too Easily", If you are thinking of buying this product-- you already know the Glass Breaks. You may think you did something wrong, but the problem is that the special BoroSilicate glass Bodum uses is much too fragile, and apparently breaks for no reason at all. Or perhaps the reason is that unlike normal glass which is one of the hardest substances known, this glass scratches easily if it comes in contact with any metal or other hard surface, and then subsequently shatters. So Instead of buying this replacement beaker, which I assure you will only be the first of many, get a new press made of unbreakable plastic LEXAN or one made of a different and less fragile type of glass. "came promptly, very pleased", My glass french press beaker broke after a good fall onto a metal doorway, and I was pleased to find replacements in stock for a reasonable price. Also I was pleasantly surprised to find that shipping was free and the product came within a business week. Overall great service and perfect replacement. 
Read this reviews before You buy... "I love the Coffee Press but not the Beaker", My new Coffee Press Beaker has broken twice in the past few months. Sigh. Be careful with them! I was happy to know I could order replacements off Amazon. Could they be made a bit stronger? "handle while you are awake!", The glass beaker does its job well, and stands up to the dishwasher great. What it doesn't tolerate is any kind of accidental "crash" by knocking it against a sink or faucet. Before you can blink an eye, it's broken. Anytime it is in your hands, BE CAREFUL!! "watch out - the sizes are confusing!", I really like my Bodum coffee presses - I have two sizes, and was delighted to see I could replace the beaker separately. But watch out if you order a replacement beaker. My small one holds 3 of what I think are ordinary cups, so I ordered the 3 cup replacement beaker by mistake. Looks like my small one is actually an 8 cup unit, and my big one (which hold 5 of my cups) is a 12 cup unit. There is no info on the Bodum itself of how big it is, so if you don't remember, it takes some guesswork to figure out whether you have a "3", "8", or "12" cup Bodum. Study the measurements carefully and get the closest match. The oz's held are the easiest way to tell, but of course if the beaker is broken you have a problem. |
