"This saucepan is great!" I absolutely love this pan! The straining feature is fantastic! The pan is heavy so I rest it against the side of the sink to help hold it steady. The handles stay cool so you don't need a potholder but you might want to use one to protect against the heat from the steam. I recently acquired the 10-pc. set of Anolon Advanced cookware and am very happy with it. The thing that bothers me most about the cookware is it takes a little longer to cook things because you can't use high heat. Boiling water takes a long time. The cookware is very sturdy and is a breeze to clean. So easy that it's not a big deal that it isn't dishwasher safe. "Anolon Advanced 3-1/2 Quart Covered Straining Saucepan " I bought this pot with the straining lid, some people say it is too heavy but I have found it is perhaps heavier than my other pots but I prefer using this pot over my old ones due to the features this pot has to offer with the strainer it makes for easier clean up & I can see the contents as it is cooking while the lid is on it and the nonstick makes for even faster cleanup! I've had this pot for about four months & I absolutely like cooking with it. I'm slowly building up my collection of this really good cookware and so far have been quite happy with it. "Nice pot, loose lid" I really like this pot, except for the fact that the lid does not fit tightly. The straining feature is nice both for straining and for letting steam escape when needed. The only negative thing is that the pan is rather heavy when full, but that is to be expected with quality cookware. "Great pan! Just wish it had a lock in place mechanism!" This is an awesome pan. I wish I could get one a bit larger, but do wish it had a lid lock on it. It would make straining much easier. Other then that, it's great and I would purchase again.

"How could I cook without it", I consider this one of the most helpful items that I've purchase in a long while. I've found a dozen uses for this pot and it is so esy to keep clean and so useful. Read this reviews before You buy... "Perfect size and function!", We initially bought an 8-piece Analon Advanced cookware set and have been selectively adding pieces (griddle, wok, etc.). This latest addition (the 3.5 quart sauce pan) has rapidly become a favorite. As a two person retired couple, the size is perfect for the amounts we cook (soups, pastas). The lid has two drain sizes (small and medium holes) which are perfect for blanching vegetables, boiling shrimp etc. After cooking, I merely pour off the hot water, fill the pot with ice water and thus eliminate washing a colander. Highly recommended for size and function! "Anolon Cookware", Anolon Advanced cookware exceeded my expectations. For years I resisted spending that little extra money for quality. My mistake. It truly makes a difference. "Highly recommend this saucepan", I have found this saucepan to be of high quailty. It is a strong,firm,solid pan. It feels good in your hand. You know you are not going to drop it. The cooking and cleaning are a breeze. I highly recommend this pan to anyone and everyone. "Nice idea, A bit heavy", These straining holes are a great idea. They warn you like crazy about burns but I have not had a problem with that. The pan is a bit tall, slightly bigger than I need, and I'm finding the weight of the pan a disadvantage. My old Wearever set was heavy but I think Anolon Advanced is a bit heavier. That being said, I like the strain idea enough to keep the pan. And it is definitely top-of-the-line cookware. Very well made and nice nonstick finish. "Good size and easy to clean", I would have given this 5 stars if it were a bit lighter in weight. The 1st time I used this pot, I forgot the time and I ended up with burnt sauce stuck to the pan. Normally I would have ruined a pot or would have been left with black burnt pan markings after cleaning. This pot was easy/fast to clean and looked brand new afterwards. Very pleased with the pot and the discounted price. |
