"Top of the line Bagless for under $60 - Can't go wrong!!!"
For what this is, it is a great machine. Sure you could pay over three times as much for a Dyson and get bascially the same thing, but who wants to do that?!?! It's built extremely well for it's price-point, strong suction, great filtration, great warranty. For those that are worried about bagless canisters being dirty... empty them outside or in the garage. ALL bagless canisters empty the same, so don't waste your money on the pricier ones. The tools on this one also work great for my flowbee!!!

"Loving the suction!"
I was supposed to be doing homework, but the vacuum had arrived that day ... so I took it out of the box and put it together. Once it was all set, I wanted to see how well it worked. Ohmigoodness! It was great! This vac has some serious suction, which is wonderful for my needs (4 inside cats leave a lot of hair).

Yes, it is heavy. That's a good tradoff for finally being able to suck up all the hair on the carpet in 2 passes. Yes, it must be emptied outdoors, straight into the garbage can. OK, I can do that, if it means that I get to see how many dead cats' worth of hair I just sucked up. The DirtFinder thing works (I tested it with black pepper and it found my flakes).

To combat the quality issue, I must confess to being a little OCD about the filters. Yes, I count the dead cats of hair, but I also take out the filter each time and knock it against my fingers to get out all the dirt and dust. However, since my mother also has a Hoover Windtunnel Bagless, she is the one who taught this technique to me (she has long-haired dogs). It works.

All I can say is that if you have some major cleaning issues, don't want to vacuum every day, and can adjust your own expectations (weight and emptying the canister), this vacuum is perfect. The suction is out of this world ... and I had no idea I had so many dead cats in my house!

"Just Nasty!!!"
I had this vacuum for about a month. The suction was so bad that after EVERY room I had to empty what little dirt was in the canister just to get back some suction. I hated it! Not only that but the bagless was a pain! I had to go outside everytime to empty the dang thing because it was so messy! Not to mention that trying to get the canister out and back in was the hardest thing ever. It made even more of a mess trying to get it out and in! I did not want that in my house! I absolutely hated this vacuum!

"Good product!"
I do not know about other reviewers, but I am happy with my purchase. The suction power is great and cleaning the bag is just as filthy as other bagless vacuum I have owned. It is just something you have to live with when you own a bagless vacuum.

"Could be better"
Started out GREAT, picked up everything - a couple of months later, and with DAILY cleanings of filters, the self propelling stopped, and the suction faded. Also, the vacuum burned my large throw rug in 3 places -I'm guessing it got to hot. But that's what happens when you have to continually vacuum until all the dog hair gets picked up. Replaced filter soon after - worked well again for 2 weeks - again with DAILY filter cleanings (after each use) & suction is going again. I wrote the company to complain since it's under warranty over 6 months ago - and NO ONE has ever answered. I will NEVER giver HOOVER my money again.

What our customer's say!

"Hoover WindTunnel Vacuum", Nice vacuum for the price. The filter has to be cleaned regularly to maintain the strong pick-up power but as long as you clean it after every use the vacuum works great. I have 4 Golden Retrievers and a ceramic tile floor and it's great for picking up all the hair on the floor. The attached hose is very easy to use also. It stores in one of the vertical suction tubes so you can easily grab it with one hand and use it to pick up hard-to-reach spots.

"Vaccum", This Vaccumm is great, It equals up to the Dyson that is twice the cost.

"works well", no problems with it yet (i have only had it for two months)... picks up all the dirt pretty well. is a safe bet.

"Hoover U5752-900 Bagless WindTunnel Upright Vacuum", Vacuum works great, easy to use and store. The no bag feature is wonderful.

"Great Vacuum!", I bought this vacuum after reading the negative reviews and discovered its a wonderful vacuum! The negative reviews look to me like from people who dont empty like they should or who arent used to bagless vacuums. I have 4 cats and this vacuum is WONDERFUL! I would recommend this to anyone who are USED to bagless vacuums!

"Boooo!", I always had high regards for Hoover, but this vac has been a complete disappointment. As most others have said, it's a mess. You spend valuable time sucking up dirt only to relocate it to the floor, your clothes, the walls.... anything within a ten foot radius of your garbage can. Suction has been all but completely lost.. especially in the hose. The has maybe 5% of it's suction power and is for all intents and purposes, USELESS! The vac is thick and you can't get under furniture unless it has higher than avg legs. 2 thumbs down on this one.

"A Vacuum to Sneeze At...", Good Gravy...I'm with LittleVTwinMama...this vacuum is Filthy!

I was never impressed with it's suction, it is a filthy chore to clean the canister, and as previously mentioned, you have to bang the entire canister against the garbage can to get it cleaned out. (I end up sneezing several times and wondering how much dust and dirt I just sucked into my lungs.) Even after all of the banging...the Filter Panel maintains a thin layer of dust and residue that cuts down on the overall performance (suction).

There are far better choices out there, whether bagless or bagged, that are in the same price range as this one. I would certainly pass on this one if I could 'do it all over again'.

"Absolutely hate this vacuum!", What's the point of vacuuming stuff out of the carpet, only to spew it into the air when you empty the chamber?!?! I will never, ever, ever buy a bagless vacuum ever again.
There is a fine, heavy residue in the filter chamber, even after a "tune-up." You're supposed to rotate the filter, which rubs on some fins, which is supposed to loosen this heavy, fine powder so it can be discarded. It was too hard to do while holding the cannister as far away from my body as possible, and turning my face away. I ended up wacking it on the garbage can (usually in a fit of rage). Even the absolute minimum amount of agitation to empty the chamber is accompanied by a mushroom cloud of grossness.
The vacuum is very heavy, doesn't fit under furniture, and doesn't roll well. I replaced a frayed cord (I think it gets cut by the post that turns and releases the wound up cord so you don't have to unwind the whole length) only to find it cut up again a week after I fixed it. Suction is greatly diminished if there's anything in the chamber.
There is only one thing I like about it, and that's the powered hand tool. I found it better at removing cat hair from the furniture than my plain old "upholstery" attachment. But it loses all potency if there's anything in the chamber.
I have a newly mobile baby and new flooring and have become obsessed with floor care. I bought an Oreck XL21 and love it. It's light, quiet and effective, and I can vacuum while carrying my baby. And most importantly, I don't ever have to see or smell the dirt/dust/dander EVER AGAIN.

"Made off shore by Maytag", My model was a Hoover U6616-900 WindTunnel Self Propelled Bagless Upright

This thing was great for two months while it lasted. The first 800 sq foot of carpet looks great compared to the rest of the house. However the Hoover went up in smoke. The manual says it has an over heat cut-off, but it over heated and all I could see was smoke. I had to air the house out. Taking the machine to the only authorized repair in the area 30 miles away, they laughed when they saw me coming in with the vacuumed. The said don't tell us it over heated. Yep and the motor fried $$$$$.

I admitted that the house was extra dirty but that was no excuse. Their official stand is that the final filter was too dirty and it was my fault. I should not have relied on the heat cutoff and not let my filter get dirty. WHAT! Not let the filter get dirty. Yep if it gets dirty all warranties are off.

The dealer said any fool that would buy a Hover that is now made by Maytag off shore deserves what I got.

So much for the Warranty.

"Best Ive ever used next to the old Kirbys", This vaccum is amazing. Its got great suction & power. It's great for people with animals becuase its weight holds it firm to the carpet unlike cheaper models that barely brush the carpet. I like it so much I'm buying one for my mom. The cord is long, the attacments are easily accessible, and they make a nice long hose when you use them all so you don't have to do alot of bending when your getting baseboards and no standing on chairs to get the ceiling. The container is easily emptied and cleaned. LOVE IT!
