"vibration and loss of suction", This blast gate is part of ductwork system provided by grizzly.
In use I found that those blast gate tend to vibrate it they are not lock in place with the screw provided. The problem with using the screw is that it is 1/ time consuming 2/ cause a little opening at the back causing a loss of suction. I have updated my sytem to use 6" blast gate right of the main pipe and have much better results

"Grizzly specific", This is a well made gate, but must be used with the specialty type fittings. It will not connect with off the shelf pipe and requires a band to connect it with pipe or fittings. Make sure you have matching pipe and fittings.

When I addressed my concerns to Grizzly, they were very professional and responsive, but would not pay any of the shipping costs for returns.

The four stars is because neither Grizzly nor Amazon indicate the need to use specialty pipe and fittings.
