"BIG and HEAVY like it should be!", It's what you want a tamper to be: BIG and HEAVY. As you can see in the picture it has a nice long handle and a large heavy head. If you want a light pocket sized tamper, don't buy this one.

"This thing sucks", It's supposed to have a 2" diam, but is way narrow for my Gaggia.

"Tamper Head Diameter", OK - Since I'm an engineer, I'll do the arithmetic.....

since there is 25.4 millimeters in an inch....

1.75 inches is equal to 44.45 millimeters

"Of course it's big and heavy", The tamper dimensions are in the description and it also mentions that the tamper is HEAVY.

"not a good choice", This tamper is big, and heavy too.
This is not a good choice for an ordinary espresso machine.
