"Excellent Storage and Cooking Wear" I am very satifisfied with the 3 peice Bormioli Rocco Frigoverre set. I use them for cooking in the microwave and storage in the frigerator. I really like the lids that come with them to seal in the food. Excellent product. "Loved these bowls" These bowls are the perfect assortment of sizes. They're easy to store as they are nested. The lids fit very tight. A great housewarming, shower or wedding gift! "From obscure to online" I purchased a set of these storage bowls 15 years ago, along with a set of drinking glasses made by Bormioli. I believe these are the only surviving glass items I have from this time. Dropped many times but never broken. Excellent long-lasting material. So pleased to have found this company again. "Glass Storage is Best" I have noticed a difference in my stored, refrigerated food since I began to use glass containers. It retains its flavor and freshness much longer, and does not take on other flavors, such as you might get from plastic ware. Bormioli Frigoverre is my favorite brand because of its sturdiness, variety of sizes, and shape (most efficient use of space). I plan to buy more soon. "Best Storage Containers" The Bormioli Frigoverre Square Glass Storage containers are absolutely fantastic. We have the square and circle sets, and use them on a daily basis for food storage. We love the products so much that we've gifted them to friends and family members. The heavy-duty glass is very durable. We've gone from freezer to microwave without a problem. The plastic lids make a great seal, and pasta sauce has not caused permanent stains like it does to other storage medium. Due to the different sizes, we can store them in a tight space in the cabinet when they are not being used. Excellent design. Excellent product!

"Disappointing", Bormioli Rocco Frigoverre Round 4 Piece Storage Set with Frosted Lids These storage containers are attractive and glass is the current recommendation for use in a microwave, which is why I purchased them. A major drawback is that the lids are NOT microwavable. I would not have purchased them had I been aware of that fact. Unfortunately, you have to read the fine print to discover this particular inconvenience. They are heavy to carry to work for lunch and you have to push the center of the lid down carefully and firmly or the contents will spill. "Love these bowls - second set in 25+ yrs", Purchased my first set of these about 25 years ago. Finally the last one broke when I dropped it on my foot (owww). So glad to replace them. Sturdy and safe food storage. Clear, clean, no surfaces to absorb odors or emit chemicals. But heed the instructions - don't microwave the lids. I didn't,but I've done it to other plastic lids before, with very bad results. "Nice Bowls BUT", Like the bowls BUT the largest bowl lid does not fit tight. And all the lids have deep grooves around the edges (inside and outside edges) that hold water. "Great Glass Option", If you are looking for something to replace your plastic containers - this is a great option. Mine came very quickly and the quality of the product is excellent. This set is well designed and they can sit within each other to take up very little space. The pictures don't show it but all three are resonably sized - I am happy with my purchase and unlike the other review amazon packed mine very well. "Would have been great but . . .", Amazon did a lousy job packing these for shipment. The three dishes were nestled inside each other with absolutely NO cushioning inbetween -- no paper, no bubble wrap, nothing . . . hence the middle dish was smashed to smithereens. I don't have the time or money to be mailing broken glass back to them (nor do I think it is fair or safe to the post office or Amazon personnel who would have to deal with the shards). This is not the first time I've gotten poorly packed, broken merchandise from Amazon, but I can guarantee you it is going to be the last. I'm sticking to purchasing just books from now on. Hard to break those.
