"It does as it says." This gadget does what it says it does and does it fairly well. The suction base is somewhat weak and I have to re-suction it frequently when processing large amounts of produce. I do wish it had additional threaded shafts that would allow it to slice different thicknesses (I used to have one that did) but I can't hold that against it. It sure beats processing things by manually performing thees tasks. "saves time" Sure beats hand peeling when you have a lot of apples to get through. We had a good apple year and definitely needed this peeler. The only problem is if the apples get too soft, they break instead of going through. "Back to basic apple potato peeler" It's a great product and comes in very handy for anyone who needs to peel potatoes or has lots of apples or pears. It is versitile and can either peel - core - slice, or just peel them. Saves time and is easy to clean. KMJ "easy!" This made canning apple pie filling a snap with my smallish sized apples. Don't know how well it would do with large apples, but using it I made 12 quarts of pie filling in just over an hour! It doesn't quite remove the peel all the way at both ends, and if the apple is mis-shapen at all it misses spots, but hey, I'm not that picky for pie filling. Definitely a must buy if you have apple trees. "apple peeler" Handy item to have when you have an orchard. I can peel apples fast.

What our customer's say! "Easiest apple peeler", Makes quick work of denser apples like granny smith. If the apples are overripe or soft you will have problems with this. The tension causes the peeler to dig into soft spots and they wont peel right. Makes uniform slices for pie. "I eat lots of apples now!", I love my apple peeler for so many reasons. No one has one of these things its so cool when everyone comes over fascinated by this thing. Not only that, but I hate the skin more than anything in the world and I can peel it off really easy and make a cool twist out of the inside of the apple. The best part would be how it takes out the core, it's twisted and ready to eat, really it's a way cool invention. I wish I would have thought of this, its so fun and I've gotta say it's great to have. This is a every entertaining gift and I'm sure anyone would love it you're just not to sure of what to get them. "great!", It worked perfect 90% of the time. The only problem was if I had an odd shaped or too large of an apple; then it didn't work very well. But it warns you of that in the instructions. All in all, it's a great little tool! Well made and fun to use. My grandaughters had a ball using it. "Not bad not great", Does a nice job of slicing, peeling and coring apples that are fairly evenly shaped all the way around. Not so good at all three operations when the apple is not evenly shaped. Had to remove them from the peeler and do them by hand....which were quite a few. Also need to continually check the alignment of the slicer/corer to make sure they were in line with the feed arm otherwise it can be easily bent out of shape. Haven't tried it yet with potatoes. "Great for big jobs", I bought this peeler to prepare apples for dehydration. In a matter of two days I peeled/cored/and sliced about 200 apples. This tool stayed put on the counter and never jammed. It worked like a charm, and made the task much much easier! 
Read this reviews before You buy... "Not quite as "perfect" as I wanted it to be", Like the product a lot, but a couple of things would make it a little better. Wish the peeler unit was more adjustable {get it closer of farther away from the bar that holds the item beeing peeled} Another thing, wish I could take the peeler unit from the base for a little easier cleaning "This apple peeler is awesome!", Seriously, this is the best kitchen gadget ever! I used it to peel,slice, and core over 40 pounds of apples for apple butter and it made the job easy and fun!!! It is sturdy and the suction cup sticks great! "Very Happy", This worked great and made me much more productive. I used it to prepare apples for drying. "Apple peeler", The clamp on version is better than the suction cup model....more sturdy. If you have a lot of apples to peel, this is the way to go. "It works great, but...", IT works great. However, it cut too much apples and make the apple smaller than I expected. Overall, if you don't mind to get a smaller apple, it is very good tool. It is fast to peel the skins and cut it into smaller pieces. My wife likes it very much since it make her easy to chew the apple. |
