"Waaaay too small", Realize that you can't put a spoon in this to stir anything, and it's basically the size of a large cup. I realize that it's my mistake that I don't know what 1.25 qts is, but when I got this it was so skinny that I couldn't believe it was real. Also, you can't even put your fingers between the handle and the pitcher, they're too tight. I gave mine away.

"the lid works fine", These pitchers are outstanding. The handle on the lid needs to be turned when put on and creates an air tight seal.

"Save Your Money", I recently purchased 3 of these containers. I gave it two stars only because I know that glass is much better for
storing food and drink than plastic. However, I purchased these because of the air tight lids but the lids were junk. Two fell apart right away. One I managed to put back together but the lids would not hold their seal. Save your money. The time and effort it would take to send these back is not worth it.

"Love this pitcher", I have several of these pitchers. I use them to brew tea. Tea tastes better when brewed in glass! Great for juices and milk. I like to be able to see through the pitcher for content. I love that I can pour hot water in them. The tight fitting lids are the best. I can't way enough about these great pitchers.

I ordered 6 of these and so made the shipping problem described in another review not applicable. The vendor does charge a lot for shipping and handling, but if you order multiple items, it works out great, because most of the shipping is probably handling---in other words, if you ordered 6 pitchers, the shipping and handling is only $9.99! Also the pitchers are very sturdy and heavy, which I wanted.

These pitchers fit beautifully on the inside door of my refrigerator. They don't leach chemicals into my beverages, either. They take up very little space (they are squared not rounded so they fit well all lined up) and are attractive. If you are looking for a healthy option to plastic, this is it. They also have a nice snug lid to keep things fresh. The lid can be turned to an "open" position like many pitchers so that the lid doesn't have to be removed to pour.

The pitchers are attractive and not chinsy-looking like plastic pitchers. Buy more than one not only to save on shipping and handling, but because you'll want more for sure!
