Others say...
"Pyrex 4-cup " This is a handy size cup. I can fit two in my micro-wave for heating liquids. Great batter bowl. The 4 for 3 promo beats local retail on similar product. "4-cup measuring cup" Excellent quality, fair price, fast shipping, reasonable shipping cost, good packaging, What else could be asked for? "Dribbles like crazy!" If it didn't cost more to ship it than it's actually worth, I'd send it back and get the regular 1 cup measuring cup. This thing dribbles like crazy. They should try and renovate the spout with the larger capacity cup. It's so small in relation to the enormity of the cup, and I couldn't stop it from dribbling while I was pouring. I loved the 1 cup pyrex. This would be great too if it didn't pour all over the counter. "Great measuring cup for large quanities." This measuring cup is really useful as most baking recipes require several cups of flour and often sugar. "Pyrex Name it say all, best brand name" This product is great for kitchen. Easy to Measured and Big letter display so easy to read. Safe for Microwave. Name brand with reasonable price on amazon best thing is quick delivery. Highly recommended. http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/01XC7Z5RB5L.jpg

Pyrex Prepware 4-Cup Measuring Cup, Clear with Blue Measurements
Why I buy this one ? - Pyrex 4-cup measuring cup with metric and standard graphics - Clear non-porous glass won't absorb odors or food stains - Open style handle makes nesting easier - No markings below 1 cup; increments in 1/3 and 2/3 cup - Safe for oven, microwave, and dishwasher; made in the USA It's better to buy this one too...
What our customer's say! "Exactly what I wanted", I have not had these Pyrex Prepware measuring cups long but they (I bought 3) are perfect for what I ordered them for. I am single and I make alot of soup dinners for myself and I hate the SALTY commercial dried/canned soups or beans. 3 cups of fresh soup seems to be a good evening meal for me and a 4 cup measuring/cooking/eating bowl is the perfect size to prepare/cook/eat it (did I mention that I'm a lazy old rascal?). Low sodium/low fat broth in boxes makes an excellent base (which I usually modify with seasalt to about 25-30% the salt commercial soups provide) with fresh or frozen veggies, fresh sliced meat or a small frozen bag of some meat prepared periodically by me for the freezer with my Foodsaver vacuum sealer when good grades and cuts of meat are cheap (chicken or shrimp is excellent but I find brisket is ideal and some places will slice it for you if you buy a moderately large piece), some spices, some pasta or Asian varieties of noodles, 20 minutes plus or minus in the MWave and an appetite, and you got a great fresh dish that cleans up in an eyeblink. I don't cook much anymore but trust me, I don't like junk food and some of these quick efforts taste as good as what you get in most restaurants. Some have complained about breakage and the uncomfortable handles but though I suspect that they are indeed, NOT bulletproof, I find that they do bounce admirably and I don't have any issue with the handles since the whole point of my cooking style is to reduce handling. If I was baking, perhaps I would feel different but there are lots of lighter, reasonably safe plastic cups that work great for dry ingredients. The inert qualities of the Pyrex glass preclude vile compounds from heating in the MWave. Apres dining, some 30 seconds of hot water and soap bring you back to square one with a clean dish and spoon. Ain't minimalism great? BTW- these cups will also cook oatmeal or grits very well too and if you use the versions from old time cartons or sacks instead of the little envelopes full of Soylent Green, those starches will taste better, cook almost as quickly AND be good for you too (but watch how much cheese you put in the grits). Also, they are somewhat lower and broader than your typical measuring making them more dining friendly. "Gotta have this in the kitchen!", I could not live without my Pyrex glass measuring cups. I use them for everything, but sometimes the 2-cup ones just don't hold enough and that's when I go to this size. These are so useful around the holidays when you find yourself doubling-up on recipes and as always, the quality you've come to expect from Pyrex will not disappoint. "We bought four: all four had chips or cracks", We bought four of these measuring cups and are really disappointed that all four had chips or cracks. In the past, we have always loved Pyrex cups, but the ones we bought from Amazon all have defects: a crack in the middle or small, dark chips at the base. So we can use them, but cannot give them as gifts. "Love Pyrex.", My parents had this when I was growing up & I used it constantly. Had to get one for myself. I have the 2 cup one as well. Very useful! "Durable Glass Measuring Cup", I love my 4 cup glass measuring cup. I use in the microwave all the time. It's perfect to measure out your ingredients in and then just pop in the microwave and cook. One bowl cooking and measuring. This is the way I cook my instant potatoes when I make them. The glass is really thick and heavy duty. Nice quality. ![]()
Read this reviews before You buy... "My daughter loves it", This is one of my daughter's Christmas gifts. She complained she didn't have one after her husband pitched the one she had when something got burned on. I have Pyrex too and really don't know what I'd do with out the ones I have. Can't go wrong with Pyrex; they really cook(sorry about the pun). "Perfect 4 cup glass measuring cup", Very happy with my new 4 cup measuring cup. Easy to read measurements. I like that it does not have the solid opaque areas like the red version. I would definitely recommend! "The ever reliable pyrex!", The 5-stars is for the product, the typically wonderful pyrex that allows for oven/microwave heating and easy cleanup. In this case, I'm also enjoying the lower profile design of this 4-cup (the one I already had is taller, more pitcher-like). I ordered this to complete a 3-piece (1-cup, 2-cup, 8-cup) value package I found on Amazon that is an outstanding value. (And, in addition, I have a 2-cup and 4-cup measure because I use them so much.) Each of the sizes has its own function in my kitchen, the smaller more for measuring, the larger for food preparation and actual cooking of foods in microwave. They work well for storing the food as well, but then they're not available for the next measuring/mixing/cooking project! "Pyrex", It seems that Pyrex is just like everything else in the world today, same name but different quality. Seems to be alittle thinner and have some air pockets so quality control is not as strict as in years past. For some reason it is not as resilient as the old one I had. "Great Product", Easy to read numbers. When I first saw it, it seemed unusual because it was wider than previous Pyrex that I have owned. I adapted quickly and now love it. I also use as a bowl when I make jello and pudding. ![]() |
