"Perfect buy and perfect gift!", It's the best thing in bakeware. Much better than Pyrex for sure! It looks classy and elegant on the table and in the cabinet. It does a great job baking, serving, microwaving and storing. I ordered it to make lasagna for some guests over the weekend and it was just perfect. Though I was a bit concerned about putting the glass lid in the oven for the first 10 minutes to allow for the cheese to melt, it was no problem and the lid goes in the oven safely. The plastic covers also fit perfectly and are great for storing or freezing the smaller ones. I had also ordered the 17 piece set (with ramekins) for my mother and MIL and they loved it. You cannot go wrong with this buy!

"Argh!", The dang lids don't fit! Not only do they rattle like all get out when I carry them from one place to another, but when they're in the fridge at eye level, I can peek right in at my food thanks to the fairly large gaps between the dish and the lid. Otherwise perfectly nice, but seeing as how both the lids and the dishes are made by the same company you'd like they could coordinate to make the pieces fit together.

"Classic and Classy", I am recently married and received this set as a wedding gift.
The French White style is classic (and classy at the same time), and all the pieces hold up very well in the oven.
My only complaint would be that the lid on one of my smaller pieces cracked after being washed in the dishwasher. I don't know if anyone else has ever had this problem, or if my set was the only one with the defect.
Overall, though, I highly recommend this bakeware.

"Broke on first use by clutzy cook", I may be judging these too harshly, but the large oval dish broke in the sink the first time I tried to wash it. Put the small round inside the large round, and then both into the oval. Once the rounds were washed, I discovered the oval underneath was done for. Apparently the weight of putting the outer edge of the large round through the water onto the inner edge of the oval was too much for it (the large oval and large round don't nest, so they were at an angle). When I was a child, my mother severed a tendon by breaking a glass in the sink, so I practically have a phobia about being rough with dishes while washing. The other casseroles are fine, but I was disappointed with the fragility. You may have a better experience, but I'll be leery of Corning products in the future. Love those ramekins though - couldn't imagine what use they'd be, but absolutely perfect for dipping bread in garlic and olive oil.

"Great Set", I've had Corning Ware for years and it's very reliable. I got this set for our summer home and it's a great looking set. I do miss the handles that the older pieces have (from the 1970s). I use these a lot in the microwave and then pop on the rubber lid to store the leftovers in the refrigerator.
I haven't yet figured out a use for the two small pieces. They may prove useful for dips or sauces. The set looks good enough to go straight from the stove to the table.

"12 piece Corning Ware Set", I am very pleased with this product. It is just what I needed, varying sizes of cookware with lids.

"Great product - but be watchful for shipping damage!", We purchased 4 sets of these fabulous sets (one to keep, three to gift). all the pieces in the set are just the right size for our family of 4.

One thing to look out for is shipping damage. Out of the 4 sets, 2 had broken pieces. Amazon replaced those sets, with two new sets - both of the new sets had broken pieces - but between the 4 damaged sets, I was able to put together 2 whole, good sets.

This was not a packing deficiency on Amazon's part - the sets are just not packed well inside the sealed boxes.

The plastic "refrigerator" covers are a little difficult to get on, but seal well once you do manage to get them covered. I wish all 4 of the big containers had the covers, but only two of them do.
