Others say...
"Great griddle!" I've been procrastinating the replacement of my 15-year-old GE stove that had both a grill/griddle side and a burners side. But the old stove finally died, and GE no longer makes a stove with a buit-in griddle. Thank goodness I found this stove-top griddle, which will work on the glass-top (or ceramic) stove I bought to replace the old one! It works even better than the old built-in griddle I was so worried about losing. Less smoke, smoother surface, easier to clean. I'm a completely satisfied customer! I spent a fair amount of time researching what would work for me online. I'm glad I found this product, to which I can give an unqualified positive recommendation. "works just fine" Had to buy a new griddle because our new ceramic cook top requires stainless steel, not aluminum cookware. This is a bit heavier, and smaller than our previous aluminum griddle, but it cooks just fine. Seems sturdy enough. "Wonderfull!!!" I did alot of research before I bought a double griddle. I chose this one because of the information on the innova website on all of their cooking products (they make cookware for some of the most expensive company labels) This product works much better than the more expensive ones and you can use metal utensils and it heats even and works well on just low heat It fits better on the stovetop than the expensive ones that have their handles flat instead of raised. love it!! "Perfect for ceramic-glass top stoves" This griddle is perfect for any stove, INCLUDING ceramic-glass top stoves. While most griddles say they can be used on all stoves, most do not have a truely flat bottom that is needed for ceramic cooktops. The bottom of this griddle is totally flat, thick and smooth. I do not have joined burners, but the griddle absorbs and radiates heat so well, I can cook on the middle section that is not directly above a burner. "Eat with the family!" This double-burner griddle is just what I was looking for. The aluminum disk bottom encapsulated in stainless steel makes for easy cleaning and even heat distribution. There are no hot spots or cold spots! The coating is so nice, easy to clean, and you don't have to grease it before using it! I can finally sit down and eat a hot breakfast with my big family! I couldn't have asked for any better! And the price is right!

What our customer's say! "Perfect for my ceramic-top stove", I searched far and wide for a bridge-spanning griddle before choosing this one. The price was right -- it's a good value. My out-of-state relatives visit often, and all seem to enjoy occaisional breakfasts of pancakes or french toast. This griddle makes serving these dishes to guests very easy. "Works well when new. POOR reliability...", I've used this for 8 months or so on my glass-top stove. When it was new, and for many months, it was great. Then it started to go bad. The cooking surface has 'bubbled up' (best word I can come up with) in several places, and it is no longer smooth. It is not food collected, it is the coating coming up. I never cook above 2 on my cooktop (out of 10), so it is not due to overheating. All my other cookware is much older and handles those settings without issue. I wish I could still find the "Cooks Club" brand. It's been the best I've owned so far, but the store that sold it went out of business. "Quality and instructions clear warning about product", I received this griddle today. Upon first inspection I was dismayed by the exposed welds on the stainless steel bottom. Not only are they unbecoming but it was clear that the heat conduction material welded on to the griddle was poorly matched--a gap was visible between the griddle and the heat conducting base. Then as I read the owner's manual I found their instructions made cooking impossible. For seasoning they say to heat the griddle up for no more than one minute and then dump some oil on it. Anyone who has seasoned a piece of cookware knows it takes heat and time to allow the oil or grease to permeate the unseasoned surface. Then the instructions go on to warn against heating the griddle for more than "one minute" without food on it. How exactly do they expect someone to make pancakes? Bottom line. I did not trust the manufacturing of this griddle from the visual cues right from the get go, and then I became very wary of the possibility that this griddle would damage my cooktop should it be left over heat for more than one minute due to the repeated warnings in the owner's manual. I could visulalize the welds giving way and the bottom falling off the griddle thereby destroying my smoothtop cooktop. NO THANKS! I just requested an RMA number and will return this griddle ASAP. I don't know if it matters, but it is made in China. FYI "false induction advertising", I bought this 6 months ago in preparation for using it on a newly installed induction cooktop. I believed the advertising and did not check magnetic test when it arrived Well got the cooktop, tried the griddle and when it did not work, found out why, it is not made for induction as advertised. Totally rediculious to have it promoted and advertised on outside of box that it is usable for induction, so now have a lovely griddle, totally unusable, wasted money. "MISREPRESENTATION OF ITEM", The innova griddle states that it is INDUCTION compatible, yet it will not accept a magnet. This is false advertising. Induction cooking will not work if the metal is not ferrous and from the iron/steel family. Prior to purchase, I sent Amazon.com an e-mail specifically asking if the INNOVA griddle would work on Induction cooktops. I requested that someone take a magnet and place it on the bottom, and let me know if it adheres. Well, they said it was good for all cooking surfaces and will work on Induction. The box says it will work on Induction. That is NOT TRUE. It will not accept a magnet, and when I tried it on my cooktop hob, I received the signal of NO CONTACT which means that it will not work and no cooking can possible take place. Do I blame amazon.com or Innova for this major error? To add insult to injurt, Amazon.com sent me an e-mail that after returning it, I had to pay for the shipping. No way! I pay for my mistakes, not for yours. I am a very dissatisfied customer. Robert P. Horton ![]() |
