"Great glasses!" Love these glasses! We have them all: white, red, tall, short. So easy for everyone to keep track of their drink! "Style at a great price." The Cheers set by Mikasa make great bar and drinking glasses. They have style, feel great in your hand all at at great price. The customer that stated they handles are too thin is incorrect, that is what adds to the style of elegant glassware. "Beautiful, but delicate" I know--of course wine goblets are delicate! But, because of the etching in these, one false move and they are dust. However, they are lovely, you can catch the color and movement of the wine well, and I still consider them a good purchase. I had purchased them on a department store website because the store itself was out of them. Then, I found they were backordered. Why I didn't start at Amazon is beyond me. Of course, Amazon had them and got them here right on time. In one piece! (Or rather, four, since there are four glasses.) "Huge!!!" If you are looking for large wine glasses, you're gonna want these wine glasses. They consume a good part of the chatting during the wine "drinking." "Junk glasses, pretty to look at, break far too easily" I bought 12 glasses each of most of this set of Mikasa a couple years ago when it was on sale from Macy's thru Amazon. Forget washing in the dishwasher, you so much as look the wrong way at these and they break. The wine ballons are especially fragile, I have just a couple left. This with once a month use. They are not durable enough to be everyday use and not nice enough to justify taking up storage space as special occasion glasses. I am VERY disappointed in Mikasa, I would never buy from them again.

I have to say both sets are my favorites - almost make cheap wine taste better. As others have commented the size is amazing on these - so you can easily do the restaurant trick of pouring just half way, letting the wine "breathe" with plenty of room to swirl and still not be stingy with your pouring. On top of that, because each of them come with their own engraved style, while still elegantly matching each other - there's no more worrying if you're drinking out of someone else's glass "Great set of wine glasses", These are great wine glasses. The first order I got arrived broken. One of the stems was completely broken off and the other three glasses were cracked or chipped. Amazon to the rescue!! I got a whole new set and they are great!! They are a bit on the larger side, so they work well for my tastes. I recently used them during a dinner party and they were a big hit.
