"I felt some burning smell still now. I bought some weeks ago.." looking good,like durable. but fan noise can't accept. I couldn't sleep well at night with this. So I always don't use fan. Most problem is some burning smell occured. That gives me headache, eye problem, nose problem. I waited that smells gone several weeks. but still. I don't know where that bad smell come from, whY.. So, Finally I deceided return.. I used marvin 5000 8years. low noise fan -good. Quartz style. I was very stisfied. So, I'd like to buy same one, but unfournately, no further product. I don't know why no more.. They are stupid I think. Why they stop making good one. they made new one, but so loud fan noise. I returened immediately.. "Small Dinomo" Delonghi's Convection Heater has been a quiet, safe and reliable room heater for me for years. I also owned for years the previous model of this version. I own a cat. I really needed a room heater without exposed heating coils. This model fits the bill! "not so kid friendly" We bought this product for my son's room which can get cold in winter. It turns out that the heater casing gets really hot - dangerous for young children. Also the "silent" fan isn't so silent. We decided to return this product. We settled for a Black and Decker BDCV200T - which is a similar product. The B & D's case was a lot cooler to the touch - the top still gets hot, but no where near as bad as the delonghi. The fan is also a little better - doesn't sound as cheap.

What our customer's say! "Great heater...until it died...", Other than cycling on and off when using any setting other than the max, the heater really worked well. After one cold season (only used it at nighttime, 60 days tops) it just died. Called Delonghi, no help (of course). I'm on here today looking for another heater, and not even considering this one. You've been warned. "Disappointing poor quality", I used this heater probably a total of no more than 12 hours. The last time I plugged it in the heater stopped working. Apparently a fuse was blown within the unit and because of the design it can not be easily repaired. A big disappointment. "Affordable heater, and it works great!", My old heater was on it's last leg. It couldn't make it through this winter, which brought me to researching a heater. I wanted a heater with a thermostat(Dial or electronic), and a timer. Most of them were a tower, which I didn't want. I checked Home Depot, Lowe's, Sears, Target, and Walmart. I wanted a heater that wasn't a tower type. Baseboard type heater. I also wanted a heater with a fan. Radiated heaters works great, but you have to have a fan to help it out. I don't have any room to accomidate a fan with my heater. I saw this heater on Lowe's website, and cheked my local stores. One of them had them in stock. I went ahead and bought it, as well as a timer. I brought it home, and it heated my place up quickly! And, it's on a timer, in which I wanted. The fan is very quiet! You can hardly hear it. Also, there is a switch in which you can turn it off or on. The sides do get warm. Almost to the point of it's too hot to touch. This heater is a keeper!! "I wouldn't recommend it.", The product actually arrived defective from the moment I tried it. The fan didn't operate. I called the vendor who said that for the first 30 days I'd need to return it to where I purchased it for service. I tried to explain that it was an on-line purchase and there wasn't a vendor who would service it per-se, but DeLonghi wouldn't help. As I'd have to pay for the return shipping and somehow extract a refund out of Amazon, this would make the unit suddenly rather EXPENSIVE, and it's not worth it. I can use it without the fan I suppose... "I own 3 of these heaters; no complaints", I own 3 of these heaters, one of which I use at night in my bedroom. Noise is minimal with the fan on and you have the option to shut it off (which I've never done). No strange odors, no problems whatsoever. I would buy these heaters again. The room heats up quickly and quietly. I also like the safety switch which automatically shuts off the heater if it even tilts let alone falls over. The quality is great and they are dependable, I've had mine over a year, lots of use and never a problem. The outside of the heater is hot but you can touch it and not be burned. The hot air coming from the vent is hotter than the case. I have 5 kids of varying ages and I feel completely safe using these heaters around them.  |
