"borner food safety holder" its listed as an add on item for the borner mandolin which i also purchased, ahem------IT COMES WITH THE MANDOLIN !!! should be listed as a replacement part. "Should have been included" The only problem with this safety holder is that it should have been included with the wave/waffle slicer and the V-slicer. These tools are DANGEROUS to use without the holder, so why charge money for it separately? Makes me feel like I'm being manipulated, so no 5 stars... "A Versatile Essential for any Grater!" I needed this item because I'd misplaced my original one. You can not only use this for the Borner V-Slicer, but with other hand held graters too! It will certainly save your fingers!

What our customer's say! "Tricked by another review", An earlier review warned that the V-Slicer did not come with a safety holder and it had to be ordered separately, so I did. The V-Slicer did in fact come with the safety holder, so I have 2. It's not a lot of money, but it is a waste. "Best Safety Holder I've Tried", I have several single-use mandolines (bought at Thrift Stores). This safety holder works with all of them, and is much more comfortable in the hand than others I've tried. It also holds food fairly securely. "Great item! ", It is a little hard to get the small pieces of something into the slicer, but besides that, I really enjoy it. You should know that the slicer comes with one of these, so you don't need to buy it unless you lost your! I wish I had known that...I have 2... "Safty - first, this holder is very handy", I love this holder because now I can grate smaller size veggies on by box grater. Before I was afraid to scrape my fingers and hardly used the grater but now - I have no fear, use it on a regular basis. "Selling separately is a great idea.", Looks like the item has been improved since my previous one, which finally broke recently. Was glad I was able to replace just the piece that broke since the rest of the slicer is still in good condition.
