"You'll never get it" Don't bother ordering this item. Amazon has canceled so may orders for this it is slowly becoming a running joke. My order was on back order for MONTHS. And then they just gave up and canceled. Yet somehow it came back into stock several times in the interim. Order it if you want but Amazon will not ship it to you. "Beautiful Votive" This is a beautiful piece. Looks great hanging over jacuzzi tub. Would recommend. "Beautiful piece of art!" I bought one of these for myself at $14.99 and when I got it, I found it to be heavyweight, durable, very elegant looking, and fairly large. I liked it so much, that I ordered two more for wedding gifts at $14.99, and later another one for a birthday gift for my sister at $19.99. Currently it is listed at $34.99 and I think it would be worth it at that price also. It seems most of the very low ratings are from folks who ordered this from the Target amazon store at the price of $3.99. So I am thinking it may not be all Amazon's fault that they are not being shipped timely. All 4 that I have ordered directly from Amazon were either here or at my recipients homes within 4 days of ordering, using the super saver shipping. Also, I saw one person who rated lower because of no hardware. Mine came with two wood screws and the thing the screw goes into (not sure what that is called). Perhaps they overlooked it as it was packaged in a tiny envelope in with the votive holders? It took me maybe 5-8 minutes to level it and drill the two holes and hang it up. "THIS IS A 5 ***** STAR ITEM!!!! " This item has always been rated with 5 perfect stars & for a good reason. It's a BEAUTIFUL, VERY FUNCTIONAL piece. The only reason people lately have given it 1 or 2 stars is because Amazon or Target, not sure who to blame, retailed it mistakenly for $3.99 when it should have been $39.99. Well guess what. Everyone & their grandmother ordered one & it sold out & went on back order. So I say to these people who gave it a poor rating because of a dispute with the retailer not being able to keep up with the sudden demand, please review an item based on THE ITEM,& not based on a dispute that you may have with the retailer selling it. This is a fabulous item. Gorgeous finish. I have mine in my master bathroom over the jacuzzi tub. Compliments the chrome faucets beautifully. Perfect for when you need a nice candlelit soaking after the kids are in bed. Order & enjoy! "HOW LONG IS IT GOING TO TAKE , ORDERED IN SEPT 2006" IT LOOKS LIKE A GREAT PRODUCT , THERES ONLY 1 BIG PROBLEM !!! I ORDERED THIS FOR A GIFT FOR CHRISTMAS AND IT IS NOW FEBRUARY 2007 AND I ORDERED IT IN SEPTEMBER 2006 AND THEY ARE NOW SAYING IT WILL NOT BE SHIPPED TO ME UNTIL MID-MARCH 2007 ... THIS IS THE FOURTH TIME THAT IT HAS BEEN BACK ORDERED. IF YOU PLAN ON GETTING ONE BEFORE YOU DIE, DON'T GET ONE.

Why I buy this one ? - silverplate with laqured finish, care free. What our customer's say! "Super pretty!", This is so pretty! Be aware that it is a very shiny silver color, not a brushed nickel (like I had hoped for to begin with), but it still looks great and seems well made. "Just beautiful", Exactly how it was pictured and even nicer than expected. Great quality and a beautiful wall hanging. "votive fixture", I bought two of these, one for me and one for a gift. I think my gift will be the hit of the year. It is stunning when lit. Excellent value and beautiful purchase for my home. "Target won't uphold their deal", If I recall, when I placed my order for this, it was via Target @ Amazon so I fault Target for the delay and ultimately the cancellation of many orders. A better job needs to be done of keeping track of inventory levels, even on clearance items. This situation was dragged on for months. It was so long in fact, I had originally ordered these as Christmas presents, with ample time to spare. Normally, I'm not an advocate of companies offering up some kind of payment to customers for slight inconveniences, but this was simply crazy and Target/Amazon should do something. "Bargain", We picked up this wall mounted candle decoration when it was for sale on Amazon. It was a total steal! We had previously seen the same item at some fancy stores, selling for over $100. It looked beautiful hanging on display, but we couldn't justify their price. It now makes a great impression hanging over the fireplace in our living room. With the exception of some very small flaws in the silver finish (which are not seen once mounted), the item is in excellent condition. It was shipped safely in a huge box. This could make a great wedding or house warming present. 
Read this reviews before You buy... "Great value!", Very similar pieces run over $100. I was lucky enough to get in on this when it was $14.99. Excellent deal from Amazon. One reviewer gave me an idea that I could always paint it if I wanted it to match better. A very good idea. "Amazon came through for me", After ordering this in September 2006, and getting 'delayed' emails over and over again, Amazon finally came through and shipped me the item for the same price I had originally ordered it. I have not yet received it, but wanted to say THANKS to Amazon for their excellent customer service. For $3.99 I know I will love it! "Absolutely Dazzling!", I have quite a bit of wall art, mostly canvas paintings and iron wall art, with some of it being candle holders. I was hesitant to buy this as I don't have a lot of silver in the house, but when this went on sale I just had to get it. It really is about 2 feet in diameter and has a gorgeous finish. I found even though I don't have any silver on the walls, it looked wonderful, as good as any $100 piece would. The only negative is that I don't see small hooks on the back for hanging. All of my other metal wall art has hooks, so I will have to figure out how to hang this without the nails being so obvious. I would buy this again as a gift, as it is very well made, worth far more than it's being sold for, and looks stunning! "Review of SERVICE, not Product/edit of product review", As reviewed below, item ordered in September (apparently via Target at price "mistake"). Following suggestion noted below, I called Customer Service (India,I believe), only to be told it could not be corrected at the original order price. After 20 minutes of requesting to speak to "team leaders" and referring the CSR to the reviews which have been written, I finally was told that Amazon would correct the problem and send the item at the original price. I'm with Amazon prime and should receive it 1/18/2007. Will edit review for product satisfaction at that time. Keep after them----they will eventually make good on the order. I still have faith in Amazon (Lord knows they have a lot of my money....). Edit 1/18/07: Product arrived as promised. Wife loves this "belated" Christmas gift. Depending on what color wall she hangs it, her only comment was that it might look better with a black finish on some walls. I might have to do the same paint trick an earlier reviewer mentioned. Otherwise, quality/appearance are very good. A recommended rating for the price/value. "have not received ", I ordered this item in September and still have not received it. |
