"Holds knives and more!", Working in a kitchen reinstated the fact that I needed a knife holder at home. The usual ones in a kitchen are wood with a magnetic strip. When I found this stainless steel one, I was thrilled. It is much more attractive to the eye and works just the same. Not only do I use it for my knives, I have my scissors, spatulas, and knife steel on it too. If you do not own one of these, you should!!!!

"Love it!", The MIU Stainless-Steel Magnetic Knife Holder secures tightly to the wall and holds all my knives and scissors. I am grateful for the previous reviews that alerted me to the fact that I needed to pop off the plastic end pieces for easy installation.

"great functionality, installation hardware could be better", I decided to forego a knife block and go with a magnetic strip when my knife collection outgrew my block. Most blocks will hold only 1 chef's knife or santoku, or two at the most. Putting them in a drawer and having the blades bump around each other would make them dull and inconvenient to access. A magnetic strip is ideal, and I love this one. The magnet is strong and the knives don't slip around in any way. You do need to be careful removing them, pivoting on the dull edge as you take the knife away from the strip to avoid having the cutting edge touch the holder. 3 knives with chef-size wide blades and 7 smaller width knives comfortably fit on the bar.

There were no installation instructions whatsoever in the box, but the bar included two walls anchors and screws. I figured out that the black plastic ends push out to access the screws. However, the anchors included with the bar were junk and didn't seem to work with drywall. After trying them unsuccessfully, I substituted my own metal Molly anchors and screws and it's now very secure. It doesn't wobble at all on the wall.

The extra bit of counterspace I have from being able to remove the bulky knife block is a bonus.

I'd definitely buy this again, but the installation hardware problem was really annoying.


"Easy to install too", Excellent quality. I bought two so I could get rid of the large knife block that was taking up valuable counter space.

Very easy to install. At each end are black plastic half-moon-shaped inserts. They slide out easily to reveal a bracket underneath. Two screws & plastic wallboard inserts are included. All I needed to install was a Phillips screwdriver, a nail, and a hammer. Was too lazy to get the drill out so I just hammered a nail into the wall. Nail was slightly smaller than the diameter of the plastic insert. Pull out the nail, push the insert in, screw in the holder, then slide the black plastic half-moons back in to cover up the brackets/screws and the little mess I made of the wallpaper there. Easy, strong, and secure.

And it looks cool. Shiny stainless, very contemporary design.

"convenient, space-saving, effective", good-looking, strong, magnetic strip mounts on vertical surface (e.g., wall under kitchen cabinets) to hold a dozen or more knives, without using drawer or countertop space

"cutting clutter", This is one of my all time favorite purchases. I invested in a stellar group of knives by Cutco and did not want them to get mingled in the drawer with my old kitchen items so I purchased the magnetic knife holder from MIU. A great look on the wall and easy on and off of knife placement. I have it by my stove and it is great to have all my knives out where I can see what to use and safely put up and away from my granchildren.



"Perfect size, no slipping", A reasonable price for a quality product. My heaviest knife is 10oz and I don't have any slipping or sliding. Looks very attractive as well.
