"PIZZA PERFECTION"
...for at home baking use a stone to make awesome pizzas and breads !
You will be glad you did :) If your stone breaks DO NOT trash it - stick it in the oven and continue to use it in pieces set next to each other... just like the old world oven stones/tiles. This stone was on special "4 for 3" and some lucky bakers received one as a holiday gift. The pizza peel is a great addition to this item. Happy Baking ~

"Pizza Stone Review"
The stone arrived much, much earlier than expected (within 3 days) and was packaged very well (the stone was in perfect shape). It is big enough to make two small or one large pizza on and is thick enough to retain the heat very well. Makes nice foccacia also.

"Don't Wait"
Mrs. loves to cook and pizza is one of her specialties but she'd been reluctant to get a stone for her pizza creations. The pizza had been good, but now it's great - thanks to this stone. It's a heavy, well-constructed stone and the crust comes out better than anything we have ever had at a restaurant - and I've sampled many. If you're wondering "does a stone really make that much difference?" the answer is a resounding "yes, it does." Don't wait.

"Great for grilling pizza!"
The only thing I've used this stone for is making pizza, which is does beautifully on the BBQ grill. Place the stone in the grill, heat on high to 450-500 deg slide the pizza onto the hot stone (via a paddle with corn meal) and close the top. The bottom of the pizza will be nice and crisp after about 10 minutes!

"Great tool for pizza, breads"
I purchased mine at Wal Mart for $15. It came with a nice pizza peel and a pizza cutter. It makes the pizza crust much better. If you want to go even cheaper you can always go to Home Depot and buy a couple of pieces of travertine tile (non glazed). That will do the exact same thing and cost even less.

What our customer's say!

"Good value, does the job", This is a really solid product for anyone looking to bake pizza or bread in the oven. I purchased this after buying the book Artisan Bread in Five Minutes a Day: The Discovery That Revolutionizes Home Baking. This stone works great for baking the few types of bread that I've made, and I've also cooked pizza on it.

"1st one arrived broken...exchange was EASY and stone is great, buy one!", Several people have left poor reviews because the stone arrived broken. I have had good experiences with Amazon and decided to risk it. Sure enough, my first stone arrived in 2 pieces, split down the middle. I filled out an exchange request online that evening and had my new stone within a few days - it's been living in my oven for a week now, made pizza twice, focaccia once and is as good as the happy reviewers indicate. Manufacturer says stone will harden with use - don't let concern about breakage sway you, this is a fine stone and it is trivial to exchange if it arrives broken.

"Arrived broken, as with many other reviewers", I do my best to purchase everything through Amazon.com (I get points back from my Amazon Visa :)

I had seen that some people complained that their pizza stone arrived broken. I rolled the dice and lost. It arrived cracked in half, quite useless.

I'm curious what percentage of this item actually arrives at the customer in one piece. It looks good, and those who receive it seem to like it. I just suggest anyone purchasing it be comfortable with the idea of returning the item as well.

"Very disappointed!", Before buying this product I read other reviews and some of them wrote that it was broken when delivered.I thought that it wont happen with me.But I was very disappointed .I received the product in two pieces. It was so hard to manage that i had to throw it away the same day I received .When I received the packet ,I was surprised at the lousy packaging ,and immediately thought no wonder why the stone broke into two pieces.I would not suggest anyone to buy this stone.

"Yes", I was so tired of my crusts ssticking, and finding the right timeing on when to take pizza's out. This ston e works great everything cooks even, looks better than delivery, and once the stone is hot cooks real fast. My only complaint is that the stone's radius is about an inch to small, however if it was an inch greater I'd probably just make bigger pizzas.

"Better than Bialetti", I purchased this to replace a Bialetti-brand stone from Bed Bath & Beyond. The Bialetti stone was satisfactory until it broke apart while I was gently cleaning it. While the 16-inch stone is more expensive than the Bialetti, it's worth it. For one thing, the diameter is larger. The 16-inch stone has a higher density and is heavier, which lets it store more heat, contributing to a crispier crust.

"I own two of these", I received one of these about 7 years ago and have used it many, many times with great success. I make pizza often and frequently do so for a fair-sized crowd, so when I decided to purchase a second stone to double my capacity, I made sure to get the same brand.
I use the stones exclusively for pizzas, calzones and the like. This is a great brand that has given me excellent results.

"I love my pizza stone!", This is a great stone! Nice and big, it almost completely fills my oven. I heat my oven to 500 for about a half-hour, while my dough is rising.

I've used this stone by both placing the pizza directly on the stone with some cornmeal to keep the dough from sticking, to putting my dough on a small pizza pan and then onto the stone. Either way, the results have been amazing!

I use the following recipe for dough: 2 C flour, 1 packet quick-rise yeast, 1 tsp sugar, 1 tsp salt, 1 Tbsp oil, 3/4 C very warm water. Throw it all in my food processor and pulse until it comes together in a ball. Let rise for 30-40 minutes and then make pizza!

I pat my crust out very thin or leave it a little thicker depending on what I feel like. The pizza stone will give you a nice crisp thin crust. The smaller the pizzas, the less time they need to cook. With the aove recipe, I can make four 6-inch personal pizzas which only need to bake 5-7 minutes. Using half the dough to make larger pizzas, I cook for about 10-12 minutes.

What to put on pizza? After I pat out the crust, I usually put some sort of oil and then minced garlic, thyme, basil- whatever spices turn you on. I've made Hawaiian pizza using a little tomato paste, garlic, spices, canadian bacon and canned pineapple. I also buy carmelized onions from William-Sonoma- BEST pizza topping ever! Throw on some artichoke hearts, sun-dried tomatoes, hot cherry peppers or pepperocini or both, a little parmigiano reggiano, thin slices of fresh zucchini and those sweet grape tomatoes... Get creative, you can't go wrong! Try wrapping the dough all the way around your toppings and make a little calzone. Yum!

This stone really holds the heat, so expect to have to wait several hours for it to cool down completely. You do not want to try and wash it while it is hot or you may crack it.

Definately a great investment for us! We make pizza several times a week, sometimes even for lunch it is that easy!!

"Wonderful Product and Service", This pizza stone arrived much earlier than promised, which was a surprise since there was free shipping. The product is amazing, and well worth the price. It's my first pizza stone, and I am repeatedly amazed at much better our pizzas turn out now that we're using it. Overall, this purchase was among the best online shopping experiences I've ever had.

"IMHO", I am not a stone expert but this one appears to be of excellent quality. It preforms as advertised and we make great bread and pizza using this stone.
