"Convenient and cute"
Although I'm not old, I have mild arthritis, so it's great to find something that is convenient and cute in the kitchen.

I love it because it's lightweight, I can skip reaching down to get the strainer out of the cabinet or reaching up to get the liquid measuring cup, and the handle is easy to hold onto.

The extra height seems to make it easier to keep pasta boiling without it going over, too. Or maybe it's because of the good heat conductivity.

I'm not sure if it might get hard to clean inside the lid in the crevice where the glass meets the metal band with the straining holes. We've had ours about a month, and used it at least a dozen times, and it doesn't seem to be a problem, but we mostly cook pasta, rice and vegetables in it.

I didn't realize that I would really appreciate the glass lid, since I've never had one before and my cooking experience is limited. It's great for seeing how much moisture is left in the rice and to see if things are still simmering or about to boil over.

Still a 5-star product in my book! There is no hint of accumulation of yuck in any cracks or crevices. The lid is crystal clear and not scratched or chipped. Both the lid and pot handles are still firmly attached, nothing is loosening or going wobbly.

My grandma has been using the same pans for 50 years and they still look brand new. I think I'll be following in her footsteps with my Krona pots and pans! Very cool!

"so far, so good"
I've had the pot for about a month or so. I've used it about 4 or 5 times. It's very classy looking...a nice brushed metal and stands firm and the lid is secure. I make sure to wash it after every use. I wonder if I let it air dry if it would begin to spot. I've been using it to make family sized mac and cheese and other pasta dishes...The cup level indicators on the side are a nice touch. The holes on the side of the lid are effective to use as a strainer, however, if cooking pasta, you'll need to use another regular old strainer as well, b/c it doesn't get all the water out....it just can't, unless you sat there for like 20 minutes...I highly recommend this product b/c it doesn't take up alot of space, holds 8 cups of water, looks great, and is inexpensive...

"krona 9-cup multi pot with strainging lid"
i bought a similar pot without the straining lid and loved it. i had so many compliments on the pot i just had to order some for friends and family. i was so pleased that they were so thrilled that i thought of them. however, i am disappointed that i did not order one with the lid for me.

"So Great!"
This little multi-pot is so handy. I use it every day. The measurements on the inside are so helpful and I am so tempted to buy another one!

"How very very nice"
You know those packets of premixed noodles/pasta/rice that say measure two cups water add 1/2 cup milk etc? This pot allows you to measure while pouring the ingredients in as it has measure markings on the inside. It is bigger than it looks. It can easily hold two to three of those Lipton noodle packets.

"$35? for Measures that are faintly painted on the inside; Handle that is soldered not welded on", Just received today. Wanted to post this for others considerations before buying.

This is a cute little 2-qt. pot. Nice idea, the style being tall rather than typically wide, and little additions of measuring indicator and glass, strainer lid. However...

1. The measures are painted in black on the pan interior. So faint, they look more dark grey than black. Many little paint splatters between the 1 & 2-cup levels, and around the 8-cup. (Maybe their stencil needs repair?) Wonder if the measures will come off with use.

2. The handle is soldered on!!! It is not welded! I put up to the light and can see the 2 spots on each handle side where the solders were placed. Will it just break off when holding hot boiled liquids???
3. Also, you can see indents inside the pan where the handle is soldered to the exterior. Looks and feels cheap.

4. Lid rim is not smoothly sealed; I can feel the edge of the metal where it meets, on both the inside and outside.

5. Construction of pot seems solid. *Crosses fingers.*

And to let Norpro know about the quality of this Krona product. I hope they do better quality assurance at their factory in China. This pot cost me $35.00. On the high side for a 2-quart pot. It should have a secure handle on it. And it would be nice if the measurements were boldly printed, perhaps the metal indented, therefore easy to read. Mine is on the faint side.

Other than these concerns, it is a cute little pot that I hope will be handy and sturdy for every day use. It's so cute, for the time being, I have it displayed on my stove. I'd like it to last for a lifetime -- at least for the rest of this second half of mine. ;)

"Great concept, but check the diameter", I love the concept of this pot - an easy-to-hold handle, glass top, ability to strain and vent, and inside markings. However, I failed to take into account that the small diameter of this pot - 5 inches - makes it unusable on the largest, most powerful burner of my gas range. That burner cover is 4 inches in diameter, and the flame diameter is roughly five inches. As a result, the flame goes up the sides of the pot - bad for the pot and a waste of gas. So, I have to use it on a smaller back burner which puts out fewer BTUs of heat, and it slows down the time it takes to get water to boil.

"Awesome little Krona pot", I bought this pot to use in my RV. I like it so well, I ordered another one for my home! Perfect size, perfect shape for lots of things.

"StoveTop Wonder", I love this little pot! The strainer lid makes it so convenient when I'm throwing together quick meals. It also boils very evenly and stands up to daily wear and tear. I keep it on the stovetop at all times, and use it everyday - from oatmeal to rice to frozen peas - it's my little favorite.

"Soooo Useful!!!", I am giving this product 5 stars even though the quality of the pot and lid isn't the best. But I am willing to ignore the sharp bit of metal sticking out on the lid handle and the slight discoloring of the metal inside the pot because it is soooooo useful. The measuring lines are useful but I particularly like the narrow and tall cylindrical form since it is perfect for heating veges on my 4-burner gas range while I have 2 other wide pans on at the same time taking up lots of space. I love the fact that there are two strainer areas on the lid. You cannot see it well in the photo but the lid rim extends down an inch inside the pot. On one side are two rows of relatively large holes and on the opposing side are three rows of much smaller holes. On the pot rim itself is an indented pourer. So you can align one set or the other of the strainer to the indentation and easily drain the contents. The metal handle on the lid gets hot so you must be careful. I also use this pot to pop popcorn in canola oil. Loosely cover the bottom with one layer of corns in just enough oil and that will give you a full pot without overflowing. I looked for an appropriate stovetop pot to do so but couldn't find any on Amazon. Then I tried to improvise with what I already owned and found this pot was perfect although a bit small. I don't let the heat go too high but the oil easily boils and I pop pot after pot without ever burning the popcorns despite the tallness of the pot and smallness of the base. The strainer on the lid allows heat pressure to escape while also keeping the popping corns confined. 2 pots full of popcorn fill a very large bowl. I am amazed that more companies aren't making this configuration of pot with lid. I wish it also came in a bigger size.

"Best Little Pot You Could Buy", I had been looking everywhere for a pot like this. My son lives in Germany and has one almost like it (without lid). It is used every day. I tried to find one in Germany, and so far have brought 2 home. Neither have been exactly what I wanted. I have also looked for this in many department and kitchen stores - no luck. I found the same Multi-Pot on another web site without the lid and at twice the price before I found this one. (I ordered 2 from that site because I was so excited). When I found this one on the Amazon site, I ordered 2 more, then I ordered another 2 for wedding presents. This is a stainless steel pot with a bottom that distributes the heat evenly so you don't get the hot-spotting that can occur with just stainless steel. The pot is a good weight and the handle is sturdy and does not wobble when the pot is filled with water - a problem I encountered with one of my German pots. I use the pot to heat up water, make sauces, hard or soft cook eggs, cook vegetables, and for many other things. The more I use this pot, the better I like it. The straining lid was an added bonus. I do clean the pot and lid by hand, and do notice that water sometimes stands under the hardware of the handle, taking a while for the lid to dry. Aside from that, this is really a neat little pot and, I keep finding new uses for it every day. Measuring lines are etched on the inside of the pot. Try it - you really can't lose at this price.
