Others say...

"Not so good."
This vacuum doesn't have good power or suction. I bought it just to keep my workshop clean and am pretty disappointed. Charge runs out quickly and suction is weak.

"This is a GREAT product if you buy it for what it is for..."
This is a wonderful machine if you buy it for what it was made for. This machine it not made to be your sole vacuum it is to use as an in between or a hand vac. It works GREAT for this! I have a three year old and we have a Kirby vacuum which we love very much. But we have a three story house and it is very heavy. So we just got this a couple days ago and I love it. I can use it on every floor to clean up in between deep vacuumings. Again I researched these on consumer reports and all cordless vacs don't run very long in between chargings and don't pick up like a tradiational vac but this one was rated the best. And I agree!

"Great for a few months, but not longer..."
We bought this about six months ago as the primary vacuum in our very small 1 bedroom apartment with wall-to-wall carpeting. It was wonderful for the first few months, the cordless option was great and it worked fairly well on the carpet (it's no dyson, but it picked up most of the visible stuff). However, it hasn't held up very well. Even after cleaning the filter and pulling all the hair out of the beater bar, it has almost no suction. It tends to collect crap inside the mouth, and then either spit it back out behind, or drop it out as soon as you turn it off. It is also made out of cheap plastic, and part of it keeps falling off and has to be snapped back on almost every time we use it. It's probably fine as a secondary vacuum that dosen't get a lot of heavy use, but if you're looking for a primary vaccum, even for a small apartment, this one won't last long.

"Great Cordless Vac for quick spot cleaning"
Have now owned for about a year. Unit was a replacement for a previous B & D 9.6 volt unit in which batteries had died. Planned obsolesence, and battery replacement costs again dictated replacement versus repair. Time and use has since indicated that replacement was an extremely good value, better than old 9.6V, because the 12 volt has much more power, and lasts longer off charger. Wife just loves it!

"totally displeased"
This cordless vacuum was absolutely useless. It has no suction whatever and doesn't even pick up the smallest amount of cat hair, dust, or paper. I am truly diappointed as Black & Decker products have always been quite reliable.I have since returned it and am trying to find an alternative.

What our customer's say!

"Mixed feelings", I've had two units. The great part about this unit is the smaller dust buster for little jobs. The other review is that two of the four tiny wheels have come off because the pins came loose. I almost fixed the problem with a nail cut to same size and a flat faucet washer. Now the unit is not even but still performs. After five years of service I'm not complaining, but it just will not die so I can buy a third.
B&D has the only vac in a vac.
Mr. Mom

"My kids love it!", I ordered this after using something similar at a friend's house. It's handy to have a dust buster around again, but the upright vacuum feature is GREAT for my children to vacuum the area rugs in their bedrooms. Also, they get excited to vacuum the carpet stairs now! Totally worth my money just to have my kids able to assist more with housework.

"Great for light duty", I love this vacuum but it is definitely made for light duty and requires emptying very often.
It is light weight and I absolutely love the cordless aspect since I have broken things around the house due to the vacuum cord getting tangled in things.

"wonderful!", I love this vacuum! It is easy to use and clean out. The only draw back is that it is cheaper to buy a new vacuum when the battery runs out than to buy a new battery. Fortunately the battery lasts for a long time. It does an amazing job cleaning and goes really well between the tile, carpet and rugs.

"love this product", I had a dustbuster that had finally died after 10 years of recharging the battery that came with it. I wanted a new one for floors this 3 in 1 is great it has so much power to it. I have vaccummed the whole house, and it is still charged for the next time. I give it five stars.

"Nice but underpowered", I've had this vacuum for couple of years, and I bought it online because it was rated as the "most powerful cordless on the market". That's a definite overstatement. The vacuum will pick up cramps, and that's what we use it for. It doesn't have power to do any serious carpet cleanup, but it does look nice, it stays in the corner of my kitchen as a nice piece of small equipment. When we use it we always take it out from the base, because the base with the brush doesn't have enough suction power. I know people who have more powerful cordless vacuums of the same size, but I don't want to mention the names - not to look biased toward other brands.

"Decent, not awesome.", We bought it to clean our boat. It does an OK job. I would've liked a bit more power, I suppose. But for the price, it's not a bad vacuum.

"Best cordless vacuum", We have tried every corless vacuum available, and this is the best. We had the 9 Volt unit for 5 years till it broke. Bought the 12 Volt unit and it is even better. Would reccomend it to anyone.

"G, Thompson ", This product is actually fabulous, however the "Dust Buster" that is inserted into the coordless vac does not stay "clicked" in. I am not sure if this is how the item is designed or if this is a flaw. This is my 2nd one I have purchased, one for myself and one for my sister. My sisters is doing the samething. Don't get me wrong, the Dust Buster does not fall out while using it, but it seems to all of us, it should snap in and be tight. This product works great. I do not pull my big vacuum out any longer. This Cordless Vac can do it all, tile and carpet, small enough to get in tight area's and has tremendous sucking power. I love it.

"Cordless vacuum", The main problem with this vacuum is the weak suction and old-type of battery. It still uses the old Ni-Cad battery which not only holds less charge but has a memory and does not last as long as the newer batteries.

To maintain any decent suction you have to empty the canister frequently. I got this for picking up scattered litter from the cat-litter boxes and it's just marginal at that. The main plus is the light weight, but don't expect it to do the job a plug-in vacuum cleaner.
