"corelle dishes" These dishes arrived with 2 glasses and one plate brocken, but at the price it was still worth it. "Great Price" I still have the plates and bowls in the set but the glasses have slowly broken over the years. It is a great basic set. Though if I hade to do again I would get the plates and bowls and then get the glasses from Libbey, 12 set of glasses for 9.99 at bed bath and beyond. Oddly, only found at store, wasn't shown online. "The Perfect Plate" I bought a set of these Corelle plates when I was in college. They were 75% off at the supermarket and I figured I would just get service for four so I would have some normal dishes for the apartment. Ten years later, I have service for 12+ in the very same pattern. They last and are just perfect and simple. They've been dropped on tile and don't even chip. I love my "real" china, but when husband drops my gorgeous discontinued dinner plate, it's a $40 replacement. I display my pretty china and live on the timeless, tough as nails, classic Corelle. "Classic, sturdy and well worth it!" I debated between getting this plain white Corelle set and a printed one but opted later on to get this. I'm glad I did as the white is a classic and can be used in any occasion. Amazon has one of the best prices for this specially when they offered the $25.00 off two sets of Corelle dinnerware. "bad buy" this is a bad buy. don't waste your money. the product came broken. amazon was great about replacing it. read through some good reviews and thought that i should try them. man, every time i'm washing the glass, if it slips, forget it. it's broken or crack. on the other hand, the dishes and bowls are not bad. thin, but good enough. so unless you don't mind buying other glasses to drink with, i wouldn't waste my money with this set.

What our customer's say! "Basic and Functional", These dishes, while not impressive, are exactly what they are meant to be, functional, attractive (enough), and cheap. As a single guy in a small apt they ended u being exactly what I needed, no more, no less. "recommend it", I am very satisfied with my purchase, it was cheap, it's not plastic, the bowls have the right size for me and the design is very simple and modern. I received everything in a good shape (even the glasses!). I think I put them once or twice in the dishwasher and I had no problem but I'm usually washing everything by hand so don't take my word on that. That's very pleasant to have non plastic dish. So far so good! ( It's been 5 or 6 weeks now I've been using them) "Just better . . .", Several things were irritating us about our stoneware . . . - The kids couldn't lift our dishes very easily - The dishes filled our cupboards very quickly, even when stacked - A dropped dish was always a cracked or chipped dish, and a risk to little toes These dishes, on the other hand . . . - We can stack 8 plates where 3 stoneware dishes used to sit - The bowls nest perfectly and all 8 that we bought take up one small cupboard spot - Our kids can very easily grab a dish or bowl out of the cupboard - They even slide against each other more easily - You can reach into the dishwasher and pull out 4 or 5 of these at a time - These seem to be darn near unbreakable - These seem to get cleaner, maybe because our dishwasher has more room? - These haven't changed in 25 years and are sold everywhere as single pieces One piece of advice - the glasses that came with this set are nice, unsurprising glasses. The mugs that came with our other set, on the other hand, didn't match (they were kind of off whitish) and weren't even very well made. "Classic dishes - never out of style!", I grew up on Corelle, and was happy to find it so reasonably priced at AZ. Ordered 4 boxes, and only one arrived with the dreaded "crunching" sound ... turns out the only casualty was a single drinking glass, which I wasn't planning to use anyway. The dishes themselves are superb! I went round and round on pattern, but decided on plain white as classic and clean. I plan to use these for a LONG time, and didn't want to get bored with dots or flowers. The white set also has the most economical additional pieces - frequently available at local "big box" retailers for a lot less than online. Bottom line, these are durable, classic dishes that will hold up to years and years of use. Well proportioned, and easy to maintain - Corelle is a winner! "good value", I read the reviews before I bought the sets so I knew that the glasses were cheap and should be thrown away when I got them. All 4 sets came in when promised and in perfect condition. I paid more for the shipping than the item and that was wierd but still the best price around that I had seen in the past 4 months. I bought 4 sets and love them. Now for the rest of the pieces of the set.... 
Read this reviews before You buy... "I love my Corelle plates so much!!! ", I'm so happy with my Corelle Livingware 16-Piece set Service for 4, Winter Frost White. I bought 4 boxes to make a set of 16. I read that some people got their glasses broken. All mine (16) where fine. Not one got broken. I really didn't need them, I just wanted the dishes. I also bought 4 boxes of the pasta bowls that came with one large bowl each. They're so easy to wash off, they stack so neat and they're so strong. I've always wanted a set of Corelle plates and now I finally have them. I would tell anyone and everyone to buy them. I hope I have them for the next 20 years. "Corian - All I had hoped for!", This china is awesome. Very tough material, almost unbreakable, but it's obviously glass and not a plastic. Washes easily, hasn't stained yet! I wish I'd bought this stuff 3 sets of dishes ago! "Corelle dinnerware is great.", Corelle dinner ware is lightweight and thin. Stacks well due to thinness. Great for everyday use. Does not look cheap and really never chips. They can break if thrown on the ground but are very sturdy. Good buy. "Great dishes, crumby glasses, risky shipping", Great dishes. Lightweight. Easy to wash. Stacks low. The glass tumblers that come in the set are made of such thin glass that it makes shipping very risky. Out of four sets that I ordered, one set had broken glasses and at least several other glasses had small chips in the lips which make them unusable. Buy the set for the dishes and think of the glasses as a bonus (if any of them are intact and usable by the time they get to your door). "Very durable product", I bought this for our office when we decided to go "paperless". Thus far, none have broken. They are not fancy, just quite simple, which is what we needed. 4 sets were bought over 6 months ago. For 30 different people using them, that is pretty good. They definitely have served their purpose well, and I plan to buy more. |
