"Great size" The size of this griddle is perfect for fixing large breakfasts for your family. The surface heats relatively evenly but not perfectly. Still a good product at this price. "Pancakes at will" Finally the cook can eat her pancakes while they are still warm. Works great and cleans up easily "kitchen appliance" External packaging arrived mangled and very oversized. Griddle box inside was smashed slightly but all parts ok and working. "Nice size griddle for a large crowd" This is a nice sized griddle, well suited for large groups. It is used when preparing breakfast items (pancakes, eggs, etc.) to feed 8 hungry guys. Cleanup is easy, as it is totally submersible with the exception of the removable temperature control. My only complaint is the material the grease cup, handles and legs are made of. The cup was dropped and chipped easily, so we're being extremely gentle when handling the griddle while washing, etc. "big, or bulky?" As shared in others reviews, you cannot merely stick this large- and very nice- griddle anywhere. I remove the handles (not THAT big of a deal) to store. It's nice if you are really going to be turning out the pancakes or large numbers of grilled tuna sandwiches! One half of the pancakes do brown a bit more than than the other, but the point may be moot. I would NOT give this as a wedding gift due to it's size. This is for the person who has already determined the frequency (and quantity) it will be used. I am happy with my purchase. Cleans easily. I would have made the cord another four or five inches longer.

What our customer's say! "I LOVE this griddle!", We loved our first griddle like this, we bought a second for our cottage. Food does not stick to the large textured surface. I have even melted cheese directly on the griddle. My first griddle is still working after 5 years, and if either ever fail, I will purchase this griddle again. "Nice Light Griddle", I received this as a Christmas gift. It is very light weight and I love that. I've cooked steaks, ham slices, pancakes, hamburgers, pork chops, eggs, french toast, grilled cheese, etc. on this griddle. Everything has turned out wonderfully. Little, if any, oil is required and the clean-up has been a breeze. I love this thing! "Jumbo!!", We bought this as a replacement for a Black and Decker that cooked the heating control contacts. Unfortunately, the B&D appears to be the only low-priced griddle with a warming tray. This truely is a jumbo griddle - it will not fit inside any of our cupboards, so we are still trying to figure out where to put it. Other than that, it's very nice, so far. "LOVE IT ......", I can cook hashbrowns, eggs, bacon, french toast, & pancakes on the same pan. cooking weekend breakfast just became easier ..this is a great .. We all love to use this to cook on. "Uneven heating", I purchased this item as a result of the positive ratings on this product. I was very disappointed in the quality in that the cooking surface is very thin and the heating element is a single loop that is attached to the bottom of the surface. This causes the heat to be concentrated primarily in the area of the heating element which results in extremely uneven heating on the cooking surface. I allowed the unit to preheat and when I cooked pancakes there was a dark streak in the area where they were over the heating element. I would not recommend this product. 
Read this reviews before You buy... "Great Plate !!", I'm a regular user of the electric grill. We make breakfast (eggs, potatoes, pancakes....), grill up some quick veggies, chicken, you get the idea. I wanted as much grill space as I could get in a portable unit. This one does not disappoint, it heats quickly and the non-stick surface has worked great. Easy clean-up, a grease channel and the all black looks good on the counter. The only reason I didn't rate this a 5 was that you do have to get used to some hot zones around where the coils have been run to heat the unit. However, you learn that pretty quickly and your off and grrrrillling !! "Good griddles.", I bought two of these for use at our Church for when the kitchen stove and griddle are being utilized to cook the breakfast meats and we need additional griddle space to cook the pancakes. The event we used these for, required us to cook about 250 pancakes within a 45 minute time period. The griddles worked great. We also used the pancake rings. There were 10 pancakes left when it was all over, so I would rate them as a success! "Wonderful griddle", This is a great griddle. It is large enough to place eight pancakes on it at once, a nice change from one at a time on my previous griddle. It heats up fast so no waiting around to start cooking. Highly recommend! "Big and flimsy", I was lured by the word "professional," but I was disappointed at the weak construction of the plastic handle/base construction: it doesn't look sturdy. Everything works properly, i.e., pancakes are just fine, and nothing's broken yet, but I feel the need to be more careful moving it around than I would like. "I LOVE It! Nice size, easy to clean & great design!", I have considered getting an electric griddle for years & I finally decided it was time. My family loves an occasional big breakfast so this is a great way to make them without a lot of pans. I can cook hashbrowns, sausage & pancakes on the same pan, all at the same time! It also make excellent french toast. A GREAT time saver! The non-stick coating is nice, not teflon (YUCK) but another textured type of non-stick instead. The temperature adjustment is easy & seems to be accurate. I would recommend this to anyone who is tired of cleaning 4 pans out with every breakfast! But make sure you have the space to store it as it is large! |
