"Very nice french press."
Great touch that this model includes a second filter right at the pour spout. Easy to clean, gets the job done. And the french press method makes the best possible tasting coffee. We love this press.

"Perfecto!"
I received my Bonjour Hugo French Press a few days ago, and made my first cup of coffee tonight. It worked perfectly. I experienced none of the problems that I'd read of other people having with similar products. The filter worked perfectly, not a single ground made its way into my cup. I highly recommend this product. One of the best cups of coffee you've ever had is 4 steps away with this wonderful device.

P.s. unless you like really strong coffee, I would use a little less than the recommended amount of grounds. And coarse ground coffee seems to work out great.

"Great for making coffee at work"
I needed a way to make good coffee at work. I bring in my own whole beans, grind them, use the BonJour Hugo 8-Cup French Press and get hot water out of our water dispensers and it tastes wonderful. This French Press is large enough for two large cups of coffee.

"8 cups? Not quite."
I had been wanting a French press for some time now and decided to buy this one. It's labeled as an 8-Cup French Press which is what made me buy it. I was looking for a large French press because I'm not the only one in my household that drinks coffee all hours of the day. Before I go on, I'd like to say that it makes the best cups of coffee I've ever had. Even low and brands like Folger's taste great. However, this French press only holds 4 cups of liquid, not 8-cups like what is listed. Our mugs hold 2 cups of coffee each, so if I want to make coffee for three people, I have to make two batches. After spending $20 for the press and another $15 on shipping, this coffee maker has cost me $35 and now I'm slightly annoyed. Still, it makes really, really good coffee, so it's not a total loss.

"Nice, quick, and easy"
I've only had this for press for a month and half, used it about ten times. Upon arrival, I thought I might have made a mistake, because the filtering system seemed inadequate to keep coffee grounds out of the cup. After using it though, it works terrificly, and keeps grounds to a minimum (there's always going to be a little in my experience). I don't think it could be easier to clean, and it seems extremely sturdy. Very pleased.

What our customer's say!

"Works Well With Tea", We use this with Barry's Tea Gold Blend loose leaf tea and it works great. We use about a 1/2 tablespoon of tea and brew for five minutes. A word of warning though, the other reviewers are correct, it is smaller than you think. It holds 32 oz and that's only about 2.5 cups for me!

"Large enough for three of us.", I think that in the "french press" business a cup is defined as 4 oz. Thus an eight-cup pot is just about right for 3 or 4 regular USA cups-a-joe. We used to have a four-cup press and it was just two small for my wife and I to get a nice cup in the morning. With this pot we even have a bit left over with which to make some iced coffee at lunch.

I like the fact that the base presses on to the glass pot so it stays put unless I want to take it off for washing.

The handle and band that surround the glass are made of plastic and when hot the band feels a tiny bit loose, but it has never slipped, so I guess the engineers knew what they were doing.

We've been perfectly satisfied with the press which performs as well as our old Bodum used to.

"very pleased", I shopped for this coffee maker after a trip to Italy and a vow to only drink good coffee for evermore. I am really happy with this product. I get to drink good coffee, don't need paper filters, and don't need to clean it once a month with vinegar.

"Best coffee ever", First off, this thing only make about 2-3 of you average sized cups. On the plus side, the coffee is sooo delicious and strong (yet somehow not bitter) that one or two cups will fix you right up. Making the coffee takes only about 6 minutes, 2 to boil water, and 4 to brew. After that, just slowly push down the plunger and enjoy the freshest, most flavorful coffee you've ever had from any old drip-pot. As I stated before, the coffee isn't bitter even when you make it really strong. After making coffee in this fast, effective, space saving little contraption, I don't even care about my fancy Gevalia coffee maker. This is how coffee should be, and I feel I should make note that you can make the coffee as weak or as strong as you want, but since it doesn't come out bitter, I go all out. The coffee comes out tasty enough, I don't even bother with sugar etc. very recommended product, it's all durable plastics, rubber, and real glass, seems like a very quality little coffee maker.

"Wonderful french press!", All coffee drinkers owe themselves the luxury of a french press. The taste of the coffee, and nothing more!

"Works great for the price", Easy to use. Removable base is nice. I've washed it many times in the dishwasher and it has held up fine. (I put it on the top shelf per manufacturer recommendation). Much nicer than my old one. The strainer on the pour spout is my favorite feature, no more grinds in my coffee.
