Others say...
"Quit after 2 weeks" Our fan quit working after only 2 weeks. Honeywell directed me to talk to the vendor, but the vendor refuses to replace either the fan or our money. I recommend that you stay away from fans with touch pads/electronic controls. Reliability is not good.Honeywell HFS641P 16-Inch Remote Control Stand Fan "suddenly shuts off" we have had this fan about a year and loved it until it suddenly decided to shut off whenever it feels like it. sometimes it will run for an hour and sometimes for 30 seconds. wouldn't buy again. "Too loud!" I had to return this fan as it was just far too loud. It seemed to be an okay fan other than this one problem, and it would probably be a good choice for a large workroom or garage, but I bought it for my bedroom. It's the same size as the fan I had previously, but this Honeywell fan is so loud that it actually kept me awake at night. Incidentally, I was able to determine that the noise is due to the shape of the fan blades themselves. Indeed, under product features it says: "Powerful turbo wind generator blades move more air than standard "pedal style" blades." Turbo wind generator blades... yes, it did rather remind me of an airplane engine. I plan to buy another fan with the larger, rounder blades instead. "Worth every penny!" I purchased this fan because my 9 year old daughter told me that her teacher had purchased one for her classroom and it worked "super"! I was reluctant to spend as much as I did but my home faces the afternoon sun and gets up to 40 C. I took it home and it had my living area cooled off in 10 minutes. It moves a lot of air even on the low setting. The high setting is very powerful! I agree that it is a little noisier but I can tune it out. I don't use the "breeze" setting and worry if I use it I will burn out the motor. I do however love the remote control and the timer. If you are thinking about purchasing a fan this is the one I would recommend. "Too Loud" I find the breeze action totally useless. The fan is too noisy even at low. It does circulate the air well.

Why I buy this one ? - Powerful turbo wind generator blades move more air than standard "pedal style" blades - Infra-red remote control with three speeds for cooling - Audio and visual remote command confirmation - Breeze mode simulates gentle outdoor wind; Oscillation feature for complete circulation - Programmable timer for 2, 4, 8 hour auto off setting It's better to buy this one too...

What our customer's say! "Honeywell remote control stand fan", I had purchased this fan 3years ago and was completly satisfied with it. So I finally purchased one for our bedroom. When there is no need for the A/C we use the fan with great results. I soley recommend this product. "Can you say L O U D!!!!", My first impression was how nice it blends in with our decor. I like the black color. I put it together in about 5 minutes and plugged it in. The thing was LOUD. I thought I had it in HIGH setting. NO. It was in the LOW setting. When I put it on high, the fan almost got knocked backwards. It's very loud too. Now, if you can sleep to a constant fan noise, then that's fine. But if you need whisper quiet, don't spend the money on this fan. "Nice fan, but again with the BEEPS", This fan does what I bought it to do, move air around. In that respect, it is awesome for a great price. However, every time you turn on the blasted thing, it makes an annoying beep. Also when you press any button on the remote to switch modes, the dag-blasted BEEP. Why? I live in an apartment building with wafer-thin walls and I feel bad for my neighbor when I go to bed really late. I know I can hear the beeps of other people's microwaves and air conditioners so I know that obnoxious beep in the middle of the night probably cuts through her like a hot knife through butter. I also have a space heater that makes even more obnoxious beeps. Why? Is this some kind of government regulation? Can't they make the audio feedback a little less shrill? A more blunted, less harsh sound? Sheesh! I'm going to try to take this thing apart and disable it's speaker. After that, this will be the perfect fan. "would be nice if I received it", This fan looks great, but despite saying that it is in stock, the company that Amazon outsources with for this product does not actually have any available. After several weeks and sending me two emails telling me that it is delayed, the order was finally cancelled. Yippee. "Good One...", Its a good fan over all. But I would like the lower speed to be much lower. Low speed is like high speed in most fans. Its would be a good one for bigger rooms. Breeze is a good feature. Timer and Remote are very useful. Wish they had remote for swivel too ;) (i know its too much to ask for). ![]()
Read this reviews before You buy... "Good for me, I'm happy", I've had the fan about a week and a half. Last summer on eBay i got a smaller version of it, Honeywell 12", about two feet high, with remote, white. I bought it because i thought the remote sounded like a good idea. It's always worked well, i like it a lot. I was looking for another one because it gets hot enough here to need two fans going at once. I have a Vornado, but i decided to use that in another room and wanted another remote control fan for the pair i have in the living room. I couldn't find the size i already have, it seems they've discontinued it. So, i read the Amazon reviews on this fan and it seemed worth a shot. I'm very happy with it. For me, it's not too loud. I like the sound of a fan, it reminds me of lazy summer days. I'm not sure what a quiet fan would sound like. I would never have noticed the sound of this one. It's powerful, the remote works perfectly, and the remote controls my other one too, a nice bonus, only one remote to deal with. From my reclining chair, i can command both fans. I feel pampered. I think the fan looks pretty good too. I had no trouble assembling it. It's lightweight and easy to move around. "What I was looking for.", It is loud and I needed it to drowned out my neighbors upstairs. If they sold a 22" I would bought it. Fat lazy parasites. "A Little Loud", I was looking for a remote controlled fan, and saw this on Amazon. The fan is nice looking, and the remote works great, and it does send out a strong stream of air, however, even on the lowest setting, it is loud and disruptive. But if noise isn't a factor, I would highly recommend this product. "great fan!", well designed, solid, very stable. Not overly noisy, moves a lot of air. I enjoy having a remote, much more useful than I thought it would be. The very best fan we've owned, very reasonable price. "Awesome Product", I love this fan, it moves tons of air and is fairly quiet. The remote control option is great. This is the second Honeywell fan I have owned, the first one I had for 8 years before it finally started making noise and then quit. 8 years is a long time to own a fan like this. It was used everyday, winter and summer. I sleep with a fan on year round. I would recommend this product to everyone. I look forward to another 8 years of good sleep. ![]() |
