"Just what we needed", The Superyard XT is just what we needed. We already had gates on the stairs but our little one who recently found his new freedom that crawling allowed didn't want to stay in the living room and play with his toys any longer. All he wanted to do is explore. We actually have the Superyard stretched out and runs from the fireplace across the hallway to the stairs blocking off his access to a bathroom and kitchen. It stays stable with some small kinks at the joints so it's not in a straight line that he can't knock it down. It's high enough that he can't get over but low enough for a teenager and above to step over.

"Not for you", This item would work well if your child is in the crawling stage. However, if your child is walking then this is not for them. My son is able to push the gate where he wants it. And because it is so light he is also able to pick it up and escape.

"Versatile,portable,and easy.", We have two 4 month old puppies, and this has been a great time saver.
It is big enough for them to play in, and keeps them out of the things they haven't learned not to bother yet. We take it when we go traveling, as it sets up quickly, with no tools. For puppies, and two-legged children, I would recommend the Superyard XT to everyone.

"Great as a fence or barrier for small dogs and puppies", I ordered this product for my 4-month-old cockapoo puppy. I have an open floor plan and I use it as a fence to keep the puppy in my family room. The SuperYard extends over a 12 foot opening and it works great. Other similar products on Amazon were either too short or too expensive. I did NOT have to anchor the SuperYard to the walls as some others have had to do (I have it on carpet, hard floors would be more problematic). If you set it up in a zigzag fashion (see the product photos) and brace the ends against your door frames, the puppy can't easily push it over. I gave the SuperYard 4 instead of 5 stars only because it is not easy for people to get through the fence. The joints between sections are stiff (to improve the strength of the barrier), but this means that you can't swing a section open like a gate. What we do is to pull the end of the fence away from the door frame enough to slip by. This trade-off is worth it to me since my puppy now doesn't have the run of the house. I think the SuperYard would also work well as a fence or barrier for toddlers and crawlers.

"North States Superyard XT Gate Play Yard", Th North States Superyard XT Gate Play Yard arrived in perfect condition and was easy to assemble. It is used primarily as a play yard for our nine month old grandson. It is very easy to move from one area to another. I highly recommend this product.

Read this reviews before You buy...

"not worth the money", I would have to say that this is not worth buying. The reason...if you want to keep your child from roaming around while you are out of the room, like cleaning the kitching, this will not do it, for all he/she has to do is move it to where he/she wants to go. also it will tip over if your child leans over to much on one side. We bought the play yard to make sure our child was safe while we cleaned up the house, well, he moved it. He also was able to bend it out of shape (which could have pinched his fingers) he moved the play yard all over the house and was able to get into things that he should not have.

so if I could I would returned it, or if I read something like this review, I would not have bought it.

"Climbable", I purchased this for my 7 month old grandson, but he climbs it and gets stuck at the top. From the outside he does the same thing and nearly topples the whole thing onto himself. This would be ideal for a baby who is not so active.

"Super Buy ", I recently purchased this for our new puppy Bentley and absolutely love it. It is very portable, easy to clean and when using outdoors we don't have to worry about it rusting as it's all very durable plastic. It is also nice to be able to move it in to different shapes depending on where we are staying. It is great to be able to remove 2 of the panels and make it smaller. Great Purchase, would definitely recommend for any small dog!!!!

"Couldn't survive without it", We have gotten a lot of use out of this item. We use it every day, adjust it to make walls around the sofa. We hardly used it as an enclosed area but it works well when we did use it that way. We're looking in to getting another one to make the area bigger so we can finally enclose it without pissing off our highly mobile infant. I would love to ding this item for being floppy when opened up and used as a wall but since that isn't how it is supposed to be used, I can't give it a lower score.

Great product. Don't use it as it isn't intended or you will end up with a kid that has cuts and bruises all over his face and falls and hits his head a lot.

"Verstile product", We have used this outside for our son, and also inside to protect the TV, DVD player, stereo, etc. We have also used it for our dog to keep her contained while we weren't home.
