"At last, a toaster that toasts!"
I did not care about the size, color or design, I just wanted a toaster that toasts in one round. It does...I'm happy, as is my family!

"How difficult is it to manufacture a toaster that makes toast?"
I purchased this toaster because I liked the design and have had good results with other Braun products. It fits well on my narrow counter and the controls are easy to use. Unfortunately, it has been very frustrating when it comes to selecting the right setting. The bread either comes out under cooked, burnt around the edges, or toasted on one side but not the other. We can put a man on the moon, but we can't make toast!

"A Little Sad"
After reading the reviews on the Braun Impressions, I thought I would buy this shining star among toasters -- so I judged it by the reviews.

I guess we all want something different. I wanted a toaster with length enough so I would not have to cut off one edge of my bread when I toasted two slices at once. The Braun slot is slightly short of this length.

I also somehow assumed that the Braun had one of the newer toaster features that clasps the muffin, bread, waffle, whatever and holds it firmly upright. Without that feature, my waffles, and sometimes my toast, come out curled, not flat.

On the plus side, the toast-from-frozen feature works well. Also, I have not had anything burn to date. Finally, the streamlined size is appreciated on my less-than-ample counter top.

"Nice toaster"
After going to several web sites to read reviews on toasters, this one was rated high. It performs efficiently and has a very sleek design. A nice price too! Some of the higher priced toasters received much lower ratings.

"great looks, great design, great toast"
got this toaster to go with our brushed steel look in the kitchen. Perfect match. Long toaster slots allow us to toast those long pieces of bread easily. Toaster conforms to the width of the bread automatically. Great feature is the defroster button. Put frozen piece of bread in toaster and it comes out perfectly toasted. Wife loves it and so do I. Have had many toasters in our lives and this is by far the best. You won't have regrets.
