"sherry"
Don't be fooled by the price. The Black and Decker AS150 works as well as any expensive brand. It is easy to use and does not require excessive applications to give a good press.

"good buy"
Needed a new iron after my fiance bought a washable suit and the hems needed pressing. His old iron leaked and didn't get very hot - in fact, I couldn't even read the heat dial anymore. So I bought a new iron and it works great - we don't iron very frequently like the sewers or lawyers or something, but it gets the job done. My fiance even threw away the fill cup on accident, but we can still get water in there! The steam is nice and strong, I'm really satisfied with this purchase.

"Steamed and Happy About It"
I'm not a professional seamstress so I cannot give a review on that scale, but for my household this is a great little product.

"Black & Decker AS150 Steam Advantage Iron"
Nice iron for the price - especially, the "10 minute shut off feature". I find it a little too heavy, but someone else might not.

"lowest price"
If 20 bucks is all that you have, or you don't want to spend more than 20, this iron is for you. At least it is working (for last 4 month). And if you will combine this one with other products to get free shipping, then this is even better deal.

What our customer's say!

"A total waste of money...", I bought this a year ago, but just started using it regularly in the past six months. I iron exactly two pair of slacks once a week so I am not a heavy user. It did an okay job, but was not the hottest iron I have owned. Ironing cotton was a real chore. It died yesterday. It just ceased to get hot. I am not sure if it is just this iron or Black & Decker in general, but I will think twice before purchasing this brand again.

"Not good over time", We have had this iron for about a year. We purchased it because our last iron was a Black and Decker and lasted for a long time. This iron worked will for us until the swivel that holds the cord decided to stop working. We can iron if we hold the cord just so. I thought I would repair the iron but they put a no tamper screw in so I would have to buy a special screw driver and frankly the iron is just not worth the cost of the screw driver.

"great value for money", Works great. Good price.
Only problem is B&D has put an unopenable screw at the back so that even fuse blows off, it becomes useless!!

"A waste of money.", The hottest setting I could hold my hand to it and not have to worry about getting burned. It can't even iron a thin cotton t-shirt. It's horrible.

"Heavy and doesn't glide well", The iron heats up fairly quickly and produces a fair bit of steam but it's really heavy and doesn't glide smoothly so it's hard to use. For some reason there are little rubber "lips" inside the opening where you add water. They make it hard to pour water in and more often than not I end up with a puddle on my ironing board. Worse, after a month or so of use, one of the "lips" is bent up and won't allow the sliding door on the opening to close all the way. This isn't a bad iron for the price but really isn't a very good design.

Read this reviews before You buy...

"Great iron", I really like this iron. It's hard to find a new iron out there that is smooth and gets the job done without the headache of "breaking it in" - I have another for backup whenever the other decides to quit and I bought one for a friend who enjoys it as well. I highly recommend.

"Leaks water all over the place", Ever since we bought this model is has been leaking water all over our clothes. We've had it for almost a year and we're finally fed up.

"Did I what I needed.", All I needed was an iron to get the wrinkles out of my cloths for school and this did a very good job. Now to be honest, this is the first iron that I've owned so I don't have anything to compare it will but none the less, for me, it did it's job.

"Like this iron and the price", Great iron. Steams very well. I like that is shuts off, but it shuts off after quite some time 10 to 15 minutes. I did not have any problems filling the iron with distilled water. Great iron for the price. Very satisfied. It does seem a bit heavy when filled with water but then I do not have to press down at all to help get the wrinkles out. I like that it has a steam burst as well.

"Don't Like", As mentioned in another review, if you need to fill the water while iron, it is a pain as is the dial under the Handle. I would say DO NOT BUY this iron.
