"Execellent!"
As a long time user of pressure cookers, this is the safest one I have seen. Buy one!

"What I recieved was a Cook's Essentials not a Duo"
I would give this item zero stars, but I am forced to give it at least one in order to write a review.
What I recieved was a Cook's Essentials 8 quart pressure cooker with a non-stick interior. Apparently, Fagor makes the Cook's Essentials line for QVC. The pot came in a Fagor Duo box, with a Fagor Duo manual and a Fagor cookbook, but inside was the Cook's Essentials pot. Stamped on the bottom of the pot is "Cook's Essentials" along with "Made in China". The box says "Made in Spain". I have returned the item to Amazon and they were great when I contacted them about the item and issued me an immediate refund. I purchased another Fagor Duo 8 quart pressure cooker from another retail website and recieved the same Cook's Essentials pot. I am returning it as well. Although, that website is not being nearly as gracious as Amazon was with the return.
I e-mailed Fagor and their response was that they weren't sure if they were going to continue with the Duo line....

"Fagor 8 qt pressure cooker"
We LOVE this pressure cooker!!! It is so easy to use. Much better that the old pressure cookers with the weight. The dual pressure control is wonderful. It's easy to use. Makes the best stews, roasts and custards.

"GREAT PRESSURE COOKER"
This pressure cooker really holds up! It's a wonderful item to have if you're looking to have a home made meal in a matter of an hour! I've made pot roast and many chicken dishes in it and they come out marvelous!

"I cannot say enough wonderful things about this product"
This pressure cooker was a gift. I have never had but one other cooking item that I have enjoyed as much (and that sits on the deck and smokes lots of meat).
This is by far a joy for anyone who loves to cook. I cannot believe that I have gone so long without one in my arsenal. I actually have gone so many weekends wanting cornbread and beans (pintos, or great northerns) and then realize that I hadn't the will or time to presoak them for 24 hours. Now, just BANG, done in less than 1/2 hour and have a taste, flavor and texture that is unsurpassed. I can tell you that if you enjoy cooking you need one in your repetoire.
Cooks Illustrated (America's Test Kitchen) rated the Fagor 8 quart "tops" and I agree.
Be careful if you are electric stove as the 18/10 stainless with aluminum core is a very fine conductor of heat and you will scorch your first beans if you don't come to pressure at MED-HI. High is just too much. (had to read some really fine print to find that little gem). After High pressure is achieved just back it to between Med and Med-Lo and you'll be fine.
Again, cannot express how jaw-dropping easy and wonderful food comes out in this. That there are not more people using these out of all the friends I have who think they are chefs, I am amazed.

What our customer's say!

"If you like pea soup, come on over.", However you will have to scrape it off the walls. The pressure release on the lid worked on only occasionally. One of the times it did not was yesterday, when the whole contraption blew up. If you need more persuasion, I'll note that I had to replace a torn gasket the first week I had it. If you're still not sure, you are one stubborn dude.

"Love It", I was introduced to the world of pressure cooking by my mother-in-law. I was intimidated by the old type with the little wiggly thing on top. These models with the locking lid and pressure selection make me feel comfortable with no fear of have purple hull peas on my kitchen ceiling. I had the 6 quart Fargo, but absolutely love the larger size, it means more left overs. I also love the non-stick finish, makes for quick clean-up. My only small complaint is that the steamer basket scratches the non-stick finish.

"Pressure cooker Review", The cooker is an excellent addition to my kitchen. Saves lots of time & does some things, rice, even better than conventional means.
UPS was not at their best. The first one was broken in shipment. Late pickup also.

"Turned off by non-stick surface", I was excited to order this product at a great price. I liked that it was all stainless steel. I ended up quite dismayed that the interior was non-stick. It was very strange--non of the advertising or manuals mentioned it at all. I contacted Fagor and they said it shouldn't be non-stick. So I got Amazon to send another one. It was non-stick too. So I returned it for a refund.

"I love this pressure cooker!", I love this pressure cooker! I received this as a gift, and I have used it several times! This is the second pressure cooker I have had, the first being the kind with the wobbly top. It was so loud and scary, but this one is excellent. It's quiet, and I don't freak if my children are running around! The food turns out excellent every time, and it is so quick! I love it, and I would recommend it to anyone.

"pressure cooker", We've just used the pressure cooker a few times but it seems to be doing a very fine job. We've had a pressure cooker for 35 years or more and use them an average of once a day. Some meals it cycled twice so we have lots of experience. I read a comparison of pressure cookers and this one was the only one recommended. I've not found any reason to doubt it. The one we are replacing was rated just below this one.
I'm sure one could not go wrong by investing in this kitchen tool.

"Excellent Cookware for all Cooks (Novice to Pro)", This pressure cooker is a simple to use, yet advanced to accommodate all levels of cooking experience. Using it to cook any food item is virtually idiot proof - until it comes to cleaning the pressure valve assembly. Should you take this assembly completely apart for cleaning, do not look for instruction to put it back together! It's not in the owner manual. To prevent undue frustration, it is suggested you pay attention to how you took it apart.

"Great but Beware!", I LOVE pressure-cooking and have been using one for years. However, this particular brand has now blown up on me 3 times in 18 months. I thought at first I had done something wrong, so I researched the owner's manual. The second time I found a piece of chicken in the release valve which wasn't in there initially, because I am careful to check it before I start. Yesterday, I was cooking a beef roast, and it blew up again. I never set it on the highest level of pressure - always on number 1, and never higher than MEDIUM on the electric stove. It had only been cooking 45 minutes when it blew. I am now looking for another brand. Luckily no one, or my dogs were near the stove when it blew up.

"Great product", The product was wonderful! The packaging can be improved though--the first time it arrived, a piece was broken. The second time was fine...but with the flimsy packaging, it's easy to see how it can break during shipping.

"Best think I have in my prantry", You can make a pot roast in 45 min.!! A stew in 35! This thing is great. I think any woman who like to cook fast some of the time would love this item.
